  • Are there any lightweight alternatives to gSOAP?

    I've tried using gSOAP for accessing a web service (e.g. using supplied WSDL to generate C stubs and then using them in an app). However, I've found that the generated .c and object files is quite big (several megabytes), which is a problem in embedded environment where I work. Do you know of any simpler SOAP libraries, or do I have to fall back to generic XML generators and parsers like ezXML?

    We have a Java application that we need to ignore an expired self-signed cert, however we cannot modify the code to do this. I wondering if there was a System Property or environment variable that we could provide at start up that would allow us to have all expired cert's ignored for now, or even be more specific and provide externally the specific cert that we would like to have the expiration ignored. Anyone have any ideas that would work?

    Our application runs succesfully on Tomcat, Websphere and Weblogic and as part of it uses Jboss Cache version 3.1.0.G. Now we would like adjust our app to run also in Jboss server environment. Is there any Jboss server version that can co-exist working together with JBoss cache of this version (3.1)? Is there anything out there that others are using to do this within but cannot find anything within a .NET C# environment?   • Tomcat on Windows

    Hi, I installed Tomcat 6.0.18 on Windows 2003 as a service. I try to set the CATALINA_OPTS environment variable but it seems to be ignored by Tomcat. Do I need to use the Tomcat Service Manager (procrun) instead? Is it normal that if I install Tomcat as a service it doesn't see the enviroment variables but it only wotks with procrun? THANKS
