• convert javascript number to css value -- maximum number of trailing decimals

  I am about to have some fun with the css transform matrix and javascript. At the moment everything is cool, except when a number becomes something like 0.000034e3344 after the to string conversion. Than the transform does not work. So I know that there is the Number.toFixed() method which actually solves the problem, but i ask myself how many trailing decimals make sense. So what is the highest value i can pass to the toFixed() method to get the most precise results? EDIT::: the exact number output was: 9.685539407532573e-20

• Creating objects and referencing before saving object to db

  Sorry about the vague title, but i didnt know how to ask the question in one line :) I have an order with nested itemgroups that again have nested items. the user specify the amount of item that he would like to have in each itemgroup. I would like to create these items in the create method of the orders controller when the order itself is being created. I kinda have 2 problems here. First, how do i set the reference of the items, or better yet, put the items into the @order object so they are saved when the @order is saved? the items are being stored in the db as the code is now, but the reference is not set because the order is not stored in the db yet so it doesnt have an id yet. Second, im not sure im using the correct way to get the id from my itemgroup. @order = Order.new(params[:order]) @order.itemgroups.each do |f| f.amount.times do @item = Item.new() @item.itemgroup_id = f.id @item.save end end

• Cannot running next process when a variable save no value

  First, I wanna compare between 2 tables tb_wrapper and tb_summary to get the data in the tb_wrapper that doesn't exist in the tb_summary then save in $link. If I don't get the same data, I want to print the result $link. When I don't get the not same data, I want it to go to another process. • PreparedStatement and 'null' value in WHERE clause

  I am using PrepareStatement and BatchUpdate for executimg a UPDATE query. In for loop I create a Batch. At end of loop I execute batch. Above logic works fine if SQL query used in PrepareStatement does not have null values in WHERE claues. Update Statement fails if there is null value in WHERE clasue. My code looks something like this, connection = getConnection(); PreparedStatement ps = connection.prepareStatement("UPDATE TEST_TABLE SET Col1 = true WHERE Col2 = ?   Is there a way to construct an XPath that evaluates whether an element's value is in a predefined list of values? Something akin to this: /Location/Addr[State='TX or AL or MA'] Which would match nodes whith State elements for Texas, Alabama, or Massachusetts? I know that I can unpack the expression: /Location/Addr[State='TX] or /Location/Addr[State='AL'], etc... But this is a bit cumbersome since the xpaths are quite long, as is the list of values. My google-fu isn't turning up much on the issue...

  I want to do this, yet I can't. Here is my scenario and rational. I have an abstract class for test cases that has an abstract method called test(). The test() method is to be defined by the subclass; it is to be implemented with logic for a certain application, such as CRMAppTestCase extends CompanyTestCase. I don't want the test() method to be invoked directly, I want the super class to call the test() method while the sub class can call a method which calls this (and does other work too, such as setting a current date-time right before the test is executed for example).   Hi, I have about 200 tables which need to relate to another table in a many-to-many fashion. I have the tables (including the intersection table) ready IN SQL Server. How can I write code using the data relation object to make the relationship? The tables are: PartStatPartName PartsMaterialsIntersection << Materials The materials table needs to have a foreign key from the PartStatPartName table. I tried various approaches using the DataRelation class but the change did not sync to SQL Server, despite being connected and adding the relation, and then calling AcceptChanges() on the dataset. Any guidance much appreciated. I have seen some threads covering the same problem but need an example in code so I can follow the right method. Thanks

  I'm using the Linq to Entities. I've got my main table, Employee setup with a field named vendorID. Vendor ID is a foreign key into the Vendors table. As it is right now, the Employee object does not directly expose the vendorID. Instead, I can only access it this way: var employee = (from e in context.Employees.Include("tbl_vendors") where e.employeeID = 1 select e).FirstOrDefault(); //this gets the vendor ID int vendorID = employee.tbl_vendors.vendorID; That is just fine and dandy, but it is extra work on the database because it is forcing a join where none is needed. Is there a way to get that key value without being forced to do a join to the tbl_vendors table?

  Hi, I was wondering what the simplest program for sending an object from my Andriod phone to my computer wirelessly (via LAN) would be. I have created Java RMI programs with a server and multiple clients, so I have a grasp of the concept. However with android I'm just not sure where to start. What I am aiming to do is send some sort of information (could simply be text) to my computer and my computer will do an action.   I've got a Windows batch script issue that I'm bashing my head against (no pun intended). The problematic script looks like this: if defined _OLD_VIRTUAL_PATH ( set PATH=%_OLD_VIRTUAL_PATH% ) When I run it and _OLD_VIRTUAL_PATH is set I get: \Microsoft was unexpected at this time. _OLD_VIRTUAL_PATH is a variable that was originally set from PATH and it contains spaces - I'm pretty sure that's the problem. But what's the solution? It runs successfully if I enclose it in quotes, but I don't think the entire value of the PATH variable is supposed to be in quotes.

  Often, I have a list of objects. Each object has properties. I want to extract a subset of the list where a specific property has a predefined value. Example: I have a list of User objects. A User has a homeTown. I want to extract all users from my list with "Springfield" as their homeTown.   I'm thinking, why does the web have to be so colorful. meaning, all the information is buried deep beneath layers of flash, javascripts, html and images. Sure, a good positioning of these media files, create an aesthetic value but how important is it to the user ? moreover, aren't people looking for information after all ? why can't the internet be a uniform looking data warehouse ? now we've gotta digg through all the aesthetic junk, using shady web scraping techniques, unless RSS or API is provided. why can't we settle for just a dull grey button and framesets for navigation ? why can't all sites have navigation frame on the left and top ? why can't all sites put their damn data always in normalized table tag ?

  I have a an ASP.NET user control where i wanto run a flash movie using flashplayer.How can i set the path of flash movie file properly so that this would work in all pages irrespective of the folders. ie; it should work inside a page in FolderA and a page in FolderASub1 which is in FolderA and a page in the Root folder too.My Flash file resides in a Folder called FlashGallery in root.My User control resides in a Subfolder in Root. I am not sure how can use ~ here .Since its(Object tag to play flash) not a server control. And infact i cant place the full relative path too. Anythoughts ?

  I'm hoping for an idea on the best way to approach what I'm trying to do. I have a table with a list of transactions. Each transactions has a PostDate in DateTime format. I have another table holding the fiscal period values. This table has the following columns; FiscalYear, FiscalMonth, StartDate, EndDate. I'm trying to write a query that will return all values from my transactions table, along with the FiscalYear and FiscalMonth of the PostDate. So I guess I'm just trying to return the FiscalYear and FiscalMonth values when the PostDate falls between the StartDate and EndDate. I've tried using a Subbuery, but I have little experience with them and kept returning an error message that the subquery was returning more than 1 value.
