  Is there any way to disable the auto-indent Xcode performs to align colons when breaking up a long method name into multiple lines? That is, I'd rather not have this: UIBarButtonItem *longDescriptiveButton = [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Title of Button" style:UIBarButtonItemStyleBordered target:self action:@selector(longDescriptiveButtonClicked)]; which, as you can see, looks terrible when variable/method/class names are long.

• Reconfigure RAID on Dell PowerEdge T710

  I have a Dell PowerEdge T710 under my feet at this very moment, with RedHat Enterprise Server 5.3. I have 6 1TB disks and two 500GB. parted reports two devices, one 500 GB and the other 4 TB. So I assume the RAID has been setup as mirror for two disks, and I assume as RAID 5 the remaining ones. I say "I assume" because it does not make sense. Having 6 disks in RAID 5, I should obtain a total space of 5 TB, not 4TB. It's not even RAID 10: I would end up with a 3 TB unit. How can I check and eventually modify the RAID array definition? In the Fujitsu Siemens I played with some time ago, at boot I had the chance to enter the controller BIOS, but here I don't see a clear way to perform this operation.

  I have two mysql queries: $sql = "SELECT * FROM content WHERE threadName LIKE '%$filter%' ORDER BY lastUpdated desc"; and $sql = "SELECT * FROM content ORDER BY lastUpdated desc"; The end result is to have all rows returned from a particular table 'content' but have those that match the variable $filter at the top. Is there either a single query that could combine these two or should I be using a JOIN?

How can I prevent this and see actual variable value? In general case, var can be more complicated than "*", for example: "home/alex/mydir/*".

• mono: application not running when web.config in subfolder

  I run asp.net on mono. I wanted to run blogengine: http://www.dotnetblogengine.net/ I downloaded, put it in /var/www/blogengine, on the console went to /var/www/blogengine and started xsp2. I went to http://localhost:8080, and it ran without problems. Then I stopped xsp2, went to /var/www and started xsp2. I went to http://localhost:8080/blogengine It ended with a strange error: The section <blogProvider> can't be defined in this configuration file (the allowed definition context is 'MachineToApplication'). (/var/www/blogengine/Web.Config line 9) The problem seems to be that it stops working as soon as the xsp2 root folder is anything else than the application root folder... Do I have to config anything ? Or what else is wrong ?

  Hi guys, the question is: suppose I have an input function like sin(2-cos(3*A/B)^2.5)+0.756*(C*D+3-B) specified with a BNF, I will parse input using recursive descent algorithm, and then how can I use or change Dijkstra’s algorithm to handle this given function? After parsing this input function, I need to execute it with variable inputs, where Dijkstra’s algorithm should do the work. Thanks in advance. • NSData's writeToFile method failing with server address

  Hi. I am trying to write an NSData object to a directory like so; [myData writeToFile:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@/%@.txt", path, filename] atomically:YES]; I receive no errors or warnings but I am assuming the write fails because the path variable has the format of afp://10.0.0.20/username/Desktop. I am connected to the networked share. Do I need to modify the string or take a different approach here? TIA, Ricky.

  I am using TortoiseHg and would like to apply a hook to my repo. My repo's .hg/hgrc file is as follows: [hooks] pretxncommit = python:hg_checksize.newbinsize The thing is that I don't know where TortoiseHg's PYTHONPATH variable is set. How do I change it? Or where do I put my Python file so that it is visible by TortoiseHg's Python interpreter? I cannot find any mention of hooks in TortoiseHg's documentation or through Google?

The article claims that short variable names such as x, xs, and f are fitting for Haskell code, because of conciseness and abstraction. • I dont understand Access modifiers in OOP (JAVA)

  I know this is a silly question but i don't understand Access Modifiers in OOP. Why do we make for example in JAVA instance variables private and then use public getter and setter methods to access them? I mean whats the reasoning/logic behind this? You still get to the instance variable but why use setter and getter methods when you can just make your variables public? please excuse my ignorance as i'm simply trying to understand why we do this? • Alternative for my preg_replace code

  Here is my code... basically it finds any page-NUMBER- within a variable and then replaces it with a page url from an array $content_text = preg_replace("/page-(\d+)-/sie", '$pageurl[$1]', $content_text); It works a treat until the NUMBER it finds isn't in the array and it returns an error... Is there another efficient way I could do this instead? I liked my code above because it was simple but I may have to use more complex code...

  I am stuck at a point with the configuration of a custom-attack signature in Junos. According to the Junos Custom Attack Definition documentation page, I can set up a custom attack based upon a signature in the packet. In the documentation you can specify a "pattern" to match, but it fails to describe what the pattern syntax should be. Particularly, I want to match the HEX values of 8C 00 13 00 in the first four bytes of the TCP data payload. Does anyone know how to accomplish this correctly?

• Get a Facebook stream post by post_id

  I want to get the details (contents, user info) of a post that was made on a fan page's stream. I have the post_id variable but don't see any method/api call where I can pass in a post_id to get the post contents. The only thing that seems possible is getting the entire stream and comparing the post_id item by item... which is slow and inefficient. Anyone had this problem or know how to do it?

• Dolby Digital Live (DDL) on Asus Rampage II Gene (Creative X-Fi Extreme)

  Hi there, I have an Asus Rampage II Gene motherboard which has X-Fi extreme built in. I can get it to work with Windows 7 ok using the Creative drivers, however when I try and install the DDL/DTS add on pack from Creative I get the error message: "There are no supported audio device available. You need to close the application. Click OK to close the application now" I don't understand it because I have the Creative software installed ok and supporting the sound without any problems. In Device manager the audio device comes up as 'High definition audio device' and uses driver: 6.1.7600.16385 from Microsoft. I tried using the Creative drivers which show up as 'soundmax HD audio' however these do not allow any of the Creative products to run properly. Please can anyone offer any help? Or even just confirm that DDL can work with my onboard sound? Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit 6GB DDR3 XFX GS8800 384mb Asus Rampage II Gene Intel i7 920 (2.66)

  In PowerShell, I type: PS C: sal cdp "cd 'C:\Users\ec\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects'" I get no error from this, and PS C: gal cdp shows definition as: cd 'C:\Users\ec\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects' But, when I try to use cdp, I get this: Cannot resolve alias 'cdp' because it refers to term 'cd 'C:\Users\ec\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects'', which is not recognized as a cmdlet, function, operable program, or script file. Verify the term and try again. At line:1 char:4 + cdp <<<<  + CatergoryInfo   : ObjectNotFound (dsp:String) [], CommandNotFoundException  + FullyQualifiedErrorId   : AliasNotResolvedException I am guessing that this is trivially easy. So I apologize in advance if that is the case. I have googled and googled and have also read through Windows PowerShell Cookbook.

• Subversion with MacVim configured as the editor

  I'm using Subversion to checkin a file on OSX. I have my EDITOR variable configured to MacVim My .profile includes: export EDITOR=/Applications/MacVim/mvim When I checkin with the -m option (svn ci somefile), MacVim gets launched but then Subversion immediately displays: Log message unchanged or not specified (a)bort, (c)ontinue, (e)dit: It displays this before I get a chance to save my log message in MacVim. Is there a way to get SVN to use MacVim as the log message editor?

• Jasper Reports: How can i have multiple growing subreports in a report?

  Hi, My Requirement is to show two sub reports in a Report. What I am doing is, I have created two sub-reports and put that into a report. But the issue is that, both the sub reports are growing (i.e. their height is not static as the number of records are variable).
