  • Accessing controls created dynamically (c#)

    - by Aliens
In my code behind (c#) I dynamically created some RadioButtonLists with more RadioButtons in each of them. I put all controls to a specific Panel. What I need to know is how to access those controls later as they are not created in .aspx file (with drag and drop from toolbox)? I tried this: foreach (Control child in panel.Controls) { Response.Write("test1"); if (child.GetType().ToString().Equals("System.Web.UI.WebControls.RadioButtonList")) { RadioButtonList r = (RadioButtonList)child; Response.Write("test2"); } } "test1" and "test2" dont show up in my page. That means something is wrong with this logic. Any suggestions what could I do?

  • PHP - Search array in array

    - by Anonymous2011
I have tried googling for the past one hour straight now and tried many ways to search for an array, in an array. My objective is, to find a keyword in the URL, and the keywords are in a txt file. This is what i have so far - but doesn't work. $file = "keywords.txt"; $open = fopen($file,'r'); $data = fread($open, filesize($file)); $data = explode(" ",$data); $url = (!empty($_SERVER['HTTPS'])) ? "https://".$_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'].$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] : "http://".$_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'].$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; $url = parse_url($url); //parse the URL into an array foreach($data as $d) { if(strstr($d,$url)) { echo "yes"; } } This works WITHOUT the text file, or array - but that's not what i want. I'd appreciate it if anyone can assist me.

  • Forcing a mixed ISO-8859-1 and UTF-8 multi-line string into UTF-8 in Perl

    - by knorv
Consider the following problem: A multi-line string $junk contains some lines which are encoded in UTF-8 and some in ISO-8859-1. I don't know a priori which lines are in which encoding, so heuristics will be needed. I want to turn $junk into pure UTF-8 with proper re-encoding of the ISO-8859-1 lines. Also, in the event of errors in the processing I want to provide a "best effort result" rather than throwing an error. My current attempt looks like this: $junk = &force_utf8($junk); sub force_utf8 { my $input = shift; my $output = ''; foreach my $line (split(/\n/, $input)) { if (utf8::valid($line)) { utf8::decode($line); } $output .= "$line\n"; } return $output; } While this appears to work I'm certain this is not the optimal solution. How would you improve the force_utf8(...) sub?

  • Function to register functions to be called if event invoked.

    - by zaidwaqi
Hi, I have a Panel which contains 20 PictureBox controls. If a user clicks on any of the controls, I want a method within the Panel to be called. How do I do this? public class MyPanel : Panel { public MyPanel() { for(int i = 0; i < 20; i++) { Controls.Add(new PictureBox()); } } // DOESN'T WORK. // function to register functions to be called if the pictureboxes are clicked. public void RegisterFunction( <function pointer> func ) { foreach ( Control c in Controls ) { c.Click += new EventHandler( func ); } } } How do I implement RegisterFunction()? Also, if there are cool C# features that can make the code more elegant, please share. Thanks.

  • How to add types from external assembly to toolbox control? (WPF)

    - by Louis Rhys
I am trying to do something like this in my WPF application: ToolboxControl ctrl = new ToolboxControl(); Assembly assembly = Assembly.LoadFile(file); var category = new ToolboxCategory(assembly.GetName().Name); foreach (Type t in assembly.GetTypes()) { var wrapper = new ToolboxItemWrapper(t, t.Name); category.Add(wrapper); } ctrl.Categories.Add(category); i.e. adding ToolboxItemWrappers for each type found in an assembly. However the last line throws the following exception (see image) All dependencies of the external assembly are also referenced in the main (WPF) application. So what's wrong here and how to fix it?

  • What's the fastest way to get directory and subdirs size on unix using Perl?

    - by ivicas
I am using Perl stat() function to get the size of directory and its subdirectories. I have a list of about 20 parent directories which have few thousand recursive subdirs and every subdir has few hundred records. Main computing part of script looks like this: sub getDirSize { my $dirSize = 0; my @dirContent = <*>; my $sizeOfFilesInDir = 0; foreach my $dirContent (@dirContent) { if (-f $dirContent) { my $size = (stat($dirContent))[7]; $dirSize += $size; } elsif (-d $dirContent) { $dirSize += getDirSize($dirContent); } } return $dirSize; } The script is executing for more than one hour and I want to make it faster. I was trying with the shell du command, but the output of du (transfered to bytes) is not accurate. And it is also quite time consuming. I am working on HP-UNIX 11i v1.

  • Perl, get all hash values

    - by Mike
Let's say in Perl I have a list of hash references, and each is required to contain a certain field, let's say foo. I want to create a list that contains all the mappings of foo. If there is a hash that does not contain foo the process should fail. @hash_list = ( {foo=>1}, {foo=>2} ); my @list = (); foreach my $item (@hash_list) { push(@list,$item->{foo}); } #list should be (1,2); Is there a more concise way of doing this in Perl?

  • Easy way to apply a function to an array

    - by alex
I am aware of array_walk() and array_map(). However when using the former like so (on an old project) it failed array_walk($_POST, 'mysql_real_escape_string'); Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() expects parameter 2 to be resource, string given. So I went with this slightly more ugly version foreach($_POST as $key => $value) { $_POST[$key] = mysql_real_escape_string($value); } So why didn't the first way work? What is the best way to map values of an array to a function?

  • ASP.NET MVC CHECKBOXES PROBLEM

    - by mazhar
CONTROLLER public ActionResult Index() { GroupRepository grouprepository = new GroupRepository(); ViewData["Group"] = grouprepository.FindGroups(); return View(); } <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage" % <% foreach (Group i in ViewData["Group"] as List) { % " checked="checked" / <% } % The thing is that it is not able to find group id and displaying the following error. What is the solution? CS1061: 'System.Text.RegularExpressions.Group' does not contain a definition for 'int_GroupId' and no extension method 'int_GroupId' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Text.RegularExpressions.Group' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

  • How to handle un-assigned records

    - by Mico
I have this PHP page where the user can select and un-select items. The interface looks like this: Now I'm using these code, when the user hit the save changes button: foreach( $value as $al_id ){ //al_id is actually location id //check if a record exists //if location were assigned and leave it as is $assigned_count = $this->AssignedLoc->checkIfAssigned( $tab_user_id, $al_id ); if( $assigned_count == 0 ){ //else if not, insert this new record $this->insertAssigned( $tab_user_id, $company_id, $al_id ); } } Now my question is, how do I delete the un assigned locations? For example in the screenshot above, there are 4 assigned locations, if I'm gonna remove (or unassign) "Mercury Morong" and "GP Hagonoy" from the assigned locations, only two must remain. What are the possible solutions using PHP? Thanks for any help!

  • Getting a java collection of objects in Alphabetical order

    - by MichaelMcCabe
I have a question that I dont really know where to start. So I thought i'd ask it here. Basically, I have a drop down with names in it. I want these names to be in alphabetical order. Populating the drop down happens as follows; I query a database and pull down an Id and Name, make a object called "UserList", and set the name and id variables with what I get back. I then add this object to an ArrayList. I do this over and over. I then convert this collection to an array, and pass it to my JSP page using session.setAttribute("userList", UserList); I then populate the drop down as below. <c:forEach items="${usersCompanysList}" var="c" > There probably is a simple answer but how to I sort these names?

  • Add Many-to-Many Entity Framework

    - by tomcamara
I've got a question: I have 3 tables: Users Menu UserMenu UserMenu contains IdMenu and IdUser. In My DataModel Entity Framework 4.0, I'm filling my User Model and filling User.Menu (Menu is Navigation Properties) with an existing Menu of my table Menu. I have to save User and Save each related menu item in UserMenu table. I get the following exception: The ObjectStateManager does not contain an ObjectStateEntry with a reference to an object of type 'SGGED.Model.Menu'. Code Users objUser = new Users(); objUser.name = itemUsers.name.Trim(); objUser.email = itemUsers.email.Trim(); objUser.password = Util.HashString("12345"); objUser.effdt = DateTime. Now; objData.Users.AddObject(objUser); foreach (var itemMenu in itemUsers.Menu) { objData.ObjectStateManager.ChangeObjectState(itemMenu, EntityState.Unchanged); } affRows = objData.SaveChanges(); Whats the way to handle this issue? Best Regards, Miltom Camara

  • C# String builder, displaying data nicely spaced out.

    - by Sef
Hello, I am wondering how exactly can i order my date nicely in a stringbuilder? Meaning something equal to ("{0,2}", ....) to space the data nicely out. I do not want to use consolewrites of any kind, so the class can be re-used in a form, console code etc... Currently i am using " " for the spacing, but in overall it does not give a proper display. (it messed up when i have numbers with more then 1 digit) public override string ToString() { StringBuilder builder = new StringBuilder(); foreach (int value in tabel) { builder.Append(value); // should have something similiar to ("{0,2}", ....) builder.Append(" "); // should have something similiar to ("{0,2}", ....) } builder.Append("(top:"); builder.Append(top); builder.Append(")"); return builder.ToString(); }/*ToString*/ Regards.

  • Changing the way widgets are rendered/displayed in a form on the template

    - by user334017
I have a form with a few other embedded forms and some various widgets. The widgets are all saved in an array $form['elements'] and for some of them, I want to display labels and things, but for others I only want to display the basic rendering. foreach($form['elements'] as $elem) echo $elem->render(); this displays everything about the widget. The way it is right now, I couldn't for example call $elem['..'] because the different subforms appear in a random order and have different variable names. I assume I could still put some checks in the template, but it seems easier to fix this in the widget class, like override one of the render functions or something. How would I go about doing this or do you have any links that could help me understand how do do this? on a side note, one of my widgets is the sfWidgetFormChoice and I have no clue where it actually renders or how renderer_classes work

  • Compress a php array

    - by Derek Adair
    I need to take an array that looks something like ... array( 11 => "fistVal", 19 => "secondVal", 120=> "thirdVal", 200 =>"fourthVal"); and convert it to... array( 0 => "fistVal", 1 => "secondVal", 2=> "thirdVal", 3 =>"fourthVal"); This is what I came up with - function compressArray($array){ if(count($array){ $counter = 0; $compressedArray = array(); foreach($array as $cur){ $compressedArray[$count] = $cur; $count++; } return $compressedArray; } else { return false; } } I'm just curious if there is any built-in functionality in php or neat tricks to do this.

  • Mongo: Finding from multiple queries

    - by waxical
New to Mongo here. I'm using the PHP lib and trying to work out how I can find in a collection from multiple queries. I could do this by repeating the query with a different query, but I wondered if it can be done in one. I.e. $idsToLookFor = array(2124,4241,5553); $query = $db->thisCollection->find(array('id' => $idsToLookFor)); That's what I'd like to do. However it doesn't work. What I'm trying to do is find a set of results for all the id's at one time. Possible or just do a findOne on each with a foreach/for?

  • C# compiler fails to recognize a class is implementing an interface

    - by Freek
    The following code fails to compile (using VS2010) and I don't see why. The compiler should be able to infer that List is 'compatible' (sorry for lack of a better word) with IEnumerable, but somehow it doesn't. What am I missing here? interface ITest { void Test(); } class TestClass : ITest { public void Test() { } } class Program { static void Test(IEnumerable<ITest> tests) { foreach(var t in tests) { Console.WriteLine(t); } } static void Main(string[] args) { var lst = new List<TestClass>(); Test(lst); // fails, why? Test(lst.Select(t=>t as ITest)); //success Test(lst.ToArray()); // success } }
