• How do I translate a point from one rect to a point in a scaled rect?

    - by Bill
I have an image (i) that's been scaled from its original size (rectLarge) to fit a smaller rectangle (rectSmall). Given a point p in rectSmall, how can I translate this to a point in rectLarge. To make this concrete, suppose I have a 20x20 image that's been scaled to a 10x10 rect. The point (1, 1) in the smaller rect should be scaled up to a point in the larger rect (i.e. (2,2)). I'm trying to achieve this with: result.x = point.x * (destRect.size.width / srcRect.size.width ); result.y = point.y * (destRect.size.height / srcRect.size.height); However, the points generated by this code are not correct - they do not map to the appropriate point in the original image. What am I doing wrong?

  • CSS problems with our eBay custom HTML template

    - by user1302015
we are building a template for our eBay listings. eBay allows users to upload a description as HTML code and allows that code to link your external CSS files. eBay displays the user's HTML code in an iframe, it looks like eBay calculates the height of your page on load and then and resizes the iframe according to that height. Here is a link to one of our test listings in eBay's sandbox environment: http://cgi.sandbox.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110097353751&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123#ht_692wt_1136 In Chrome / Firefox there's a second scroll bar next to the listing. In IE, the listings just covers eBay's footer which is even worse I solved this issue once using CSS and i can't remember how. I would really appreciate any help. Here is our CSS code: http://pastebin.com/aj4bffG9

  • dropdown under a nav button css/html

    - by MannfromReno
I have a navcontainer with buttons in the container. I need to make a dropdown list for only one of the buttons. How would this be accomplished with CSS/HTML. Here is my code: HTML:
About Us Request a Quote Affiliates Pricing & Plans Additional Services Service Details Watering
CSS: #navcontainer { float: right; width: 1040px; height: 45px; text-align: center; line-height: 45px; color: #fff; margin-bottom: 6px; } .button { text-align: center; background: #226426; color: #fff; width: 100px; height: 45px; float: left; text-decoration: none; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold; border-right: solid 1px #91b293; border-top: solid 1px #91b293; border-bottom: solid 1px #91b293; } Do I need to make this into a ul or can I keep it as is, and just add a dropdown to the Services button? Thanks for your help.

  • HBase schema help

    - by Jody Powlette
Coming from a SQL Server background, I'm a newbie with regard to HBase, but the technology looks to be a good fit for what we're doing and the cost is definitely right! I need to maintain a list of log entries which normally I would create in an RDBS as: create table Log ( UserID int, SiteID int, Page varchar(50), Date smalldatetime ) where one user may have 0 or 1000 rows in this simple table. Typical queries would be to find all the rows for one user or all the rows for one user on one site. How does this translate into a "map" in HBase where there is no "row key" AND the same (SiteID,Page) may appear many times. My first thought is that UserID is a row key, but I still don't understand "column families" and the other terminology well enough to understand how to setup the table to hold this data where the one UserID can have many (SiteID,Page,Date) "rows". Any direction is appreciated!

  • Compiler optimization of references

    - by Phineas
    I often use references to simplify the appearance of code: vec3f& vertex = _vertices[index]; // Calculate the vertex position vertex[0] = startx + col * colWidth; vertex[1] = starty + row * rowWidth; vertex[2] = 0.0f; Will compilers recognize and optimize this so it is essentially the following? _vertices[index][0] = startx + col * colWidth; _vertices[index][1] = starty + row * rowWidth; _vertices[index][2] = 0.0f;

  • Event Listener in Google Charts API

    - by DeanGrobler
I'm busy using Google Charts in one of my projects to display data in a table. Everything is working great. Except that I need to see what line a user selected once they click a button. This would obviously be done with Javascript, but I've been struggling for days now to no avail. Below I've pasted code for a simple example of the table, and the Javascript function that I want to use (that doesn't work).

Thanks in advance for anyone taking the time to look at this. I've honestly tried my best with this, hope someone out there can help me out a bit.

  • HTML/CSS layout question

    - by TheDelChop
Guys, I just need a little help with some CSS layout if you don't mind. I've got three things I'm trying to play around with and I need some help making this work the way I was hoping. I've got the element of a page, which I'd like to be 100% of the browser window, obviously. Then I've got two elements which I'd like to stack on top of each other, but the trick is this, I'd like the bottom div, (a menu which should really be a fixed height) to determine the height of the top div. Is there a way to lay this out in CSS?

  • FLex MouseEvent doesn't fire when Mouse stays over element

    - by Tomaszewski
Hi, i'm trying to make a scrollable box, when a mouse enters and STAYS on "wrapper"'s area, "pubsBox" moves 10 pixels to the left. <mx:Canvas id="wrapper" height="80" width="750"> <mx:HBox id="pubsBox" horizontalGap="10" height="80" width="100%" /> </mx:Canvas> My problem is that I'm not sure how to make the MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER work, to recognize that the mouse is still ON the area and so pubsBox should continue to move 10 pixels to the left every second. I understand that i have to use a Timer, but what I'm concerned about is the fact that I can't get Flex to recognize that the mouse is still OVER "wrapper" and continue firing the event. Any ideas?

My problem is that it moves itself to the beginning of the row? http://gazet.se/TestPages/Test.aspx Its just below the logo and as you can see, its on the correct line but not in the correct position (should be between the purple "Nyhetsbrev" and the black "Experthörnan"-images, but it ends up on the beginning of the row instead? Any ideas?

  • Resizing an image using mouse dragging (C#)

    - by Gaax
    Hi all. I'm having some trouble resizing an image just by dragging the mouse. I found an average resize method and now am trying to modify it to use the mouse instead of given values. The way I'm doing it makes sense to me but maybe you guys can give me some better ideas. I'm basically using the distance between the current location of the mouse and the previous location of the mouse as the scaling factor. If the distance between the current mouse location and the center of of the image is less than the distance between previous mouse location and the center of the image then the image gets smaller, and vice-versa. With the code below I'm getting an Argument Exception (invalid parameter) when creating the new bitmap with the new height and width and I really don't understand why... any ideas? private static Image resizeImage(Image imgToResize, System.Drawing.Point prevMouseLoc, System.Drawing.Point currentMouseLoc) { int sourceWidth = imgToResize.Width; int sourceHeight = imgToResize.Height; float dCurrCent = 0; //Distance between current mouse location and the center of the image float dPrevCent = 0; //Distance between previous mouse location and the center of the image float dCurrPrev = 0; //Distance between current mouse location and the previous mouse location int sign = 1; System.Drawing.Point imgCenter = new System.Drawing.Point(); float nPercent = 0; imgCenter.X = imgToResize.Width / 2; imgCenter.Y = imgToResize.Height / 2; // Calculating the distance between the current mouse location and the center of the image dCurrCent = (float)Math.Sqrt(Math.Pow(currentMouseLoc.X - imgCenter.X, 2) + Math.Pow(currentMouseLoc.Y - imgCenter.Y, 2)); // Calculating the distance between the previous mouse location and the center of the image dPrevCent = (float)Math.Sqrt(Math.Pow(prevMouseLoc.XimgCenter.X,2) + Math.Pow(prevMouseLoc.Y - imgCenter.Y, 2)); // Calculating the sign value if (dCurrCent >= dPrevCent) { sign = 1; } else { sign = -1; } nPercent = sign * (float)Math.Sqrt(Math.Pow(currentMouseLoc.X - prevMouseLoc.X, 2) + Math.Pow(currentMouseLoc.Y - prevMouseLoc.Y, 2)); int destWidth = (int)(sourceWidth * nPercent); int destHeight = (int)(sourceHeight * nPercent); Bitmap b = new Bitmap(destWidth, destHeight); // exception thrown here Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage((Image)b); g.InterpolationMode = InterpolationMode.HighQualityBicubic; g.DrawImage(imgToResize, 0, 0, destWidth, destHeight); g.Dispose(); return (Image)b; }

  • How do I construct a Django reverse/url using query args?

    - by Andrew Dalke
I have URLs like http://example.com/depict?smiles=CO&width=200&height=200 (and with several other optional arguments) My urls.py contains: urlpatterns = patterns('', (r'^$', 'cansmi.index'), (r'^cansmi$', 'cansmi.cansmi'), url(r'^depict$', cyclops.django.depict, name="cyclops-depict"), I can go to that URL and get the 200x200 PNG that was constructed, so I know that part works. In my template from the "cansmi.cansmi" response I want to construct a URL for the named template "cyclops-depict" given some query parameters. I thought I could do {% url cyclops-depict smiles=input_smiles width=200 height=200 %} where "input_smiles" is an input to the template via a form submission. In this case it's the string "CO" and I thought it would create a URL like the one at top. This template fails with a TemplateSyntaxError: Caught an exception while rendering: Reverse for 'cyclops-depict' with arguments '()' and keyword arguments '{'smiles': u'CO', 'height': 200, 'width': 200}' not found. This is a rather common error message both here on StackOverflow and elsewhere. In every case I found, people were using them with parameters in the URL path regexp, which is not the case I have where the parameters go into the query. That means I'm doing it wrong. How do I do it right? That is, I want to construct the full URL, including path and query parameters, using something in the template. For reference, % python manage.py shell Python 2.6.1 (r261:67515, Feb 11 2010, 00:51:29) [GCC 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5646)] on darwin Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. • Inserting Rows in Relationship using a Strongly Typed DataSet

    - by Manuel Faux
I'm using ADO.NET with a strongly typed dataset in C# (.NET 3.5). I want to insert a new row to two tables which are related in an 1:n relation. The table Attachments holds the primary key part of the relation and the table LicenseAttachments holds the foreign key part. AttachmentsDataSet.InvoiceRow invoice; // Set to a valid row, also referenced in InvoiceAttachments AttachmentsDataSet.AttachmentsRow attachment; attachment = attachmentsDataSet.Attachments.AddAttachmentsRow("Name", "Description"); attachmentsDataSet.InvoiceAttachments.AddInvoiceAttachmentsRow(invoice, attachment); Of course when I first update the InvoicesAttachments table, I'll get a foreign key violation from the SQL server, so I tried updating the Attachments table first, which will create the rows, but will remove the attachment association in the InvoiceAttachments table. Why? How do I solve this problem?

  • Is there a way to put relationships/contraints into CSS?

    - by hekevintran
In every design tool or art principle I've heard of, relationships are a central theme. By relationships I mean the thing you can do in Adobe Illustrator to specify that the height of one shape is equal to half the height of another. You cannot express this information in CSS. CSS hard-codes all values. Using a language like LESS that allows variables and arithmetic you can get closer to relationships but it's still a CSS variant. This inability in my mind is the biggest problem with CSS. CSS is supposed to be a language that describes the visual component of a Web page but it ignores relationships and contraints, ideas that are at the core of art. How possible is it to imagine a new Web design language that can express relationships and contraints that can be implemented in JavaScript using the current CSS properties?

  • Move Image or Div Up As Window Resizes?

    - by Wade D Ouellet
Hi, I have an image in my html with a class of "stretch". Currently, with css, this image re-sizes as the window re-sizes to be 100% of the screen width. I would also like it to move upwards as the window is being re-sized. I'm assuming this can be done with jQuery but I am not quite sure. Basically the "top" css value just needs to change as the screen width does. Here is the css that is currently re-sizing it: .stretch { width: 100%; height: auto; min-height: 420px; position: absolute; top: -200px; } Thanks, Wade

  • Binding Silverlight UserControl custom properties to its' elements

    - by ghostskunks
Hi. I'm trying to make a simple crossword puzzle game in Silverlight 2.0. I'm working on a UserControl-ish component that represents a square in the puzzle. I'm having trouble with binding up my UserControl's properties with its' elements. I've finally (sort of) got it working (may be helpful to some - it took me a few long hours), but wanted to make it more 'elegant'. I've imagined it should have a compartment for the content and a label (in the upper right corner) that optionally contains its' number. The content control probably be a TextBox, while label control could be a TextBlock. So I created a UserControl with this basic structure (the values are hardcoded at this stage): <UserControl x:Class="XWord.Square" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" FontSize="30" Width="100" Height="100"> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="White"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> <RowDefinition Height="*"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <TextBlock x:Name="Label" Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="1" Text="7"/> <TextBox x:Name="Content" Grid.Row="1" Grid.Column="0" Text="A" BorderThickness="0" /> </Grid> </UserControl> I've also created DependencyProperties in the Square class like this: public static readonly DependencyProperty LabelTextProperty; public static readonly DependencyProperty ContentCharacterProperty; // ...(static constructor with property registration, .NET properties // omitted for brevity)... Now I'd like to figure out how to bind the Label and Content element to the two properties. I do it like this (in the code-behind file): Label.SetBinding( TextBlock.TextProperty, new Binding { Source = this, Path = new PropertyPath( "LabelText" ), Mode = BindingMode.OneWay } ); Content.SetBinding( TextBox.TextProperty, new Binding { Source = this, Path = new PropertyPath( "ContentCharacter" ), Mode = BindingMode.TwoWay } ); That would be more elegant done in XAML. Does anyone know how that's done?

  • WPF Border Thickness increase direction

    - by morsanu
Hey. Another WPF question. In my XAML code I have a border: <Border x:Name="myBorder" Background="AliceBlue" Width="200" Height="200" BorderThickness="10" BorderBrush="Black"> </Border> and somewhere in code I increase the BorderThickness double thickness = myBorder.BorderThickness.Bottom + 2; myBorder.BorderThickness = new Thickness(thickness); and the result is that the border's weight increases but not outside the 200x200 width-height, but inner, decreasing the dimension. Is there a way to do the opposite?

  • Suppressing a Kendo UI Grid selectable event when clicking a link within a cell

    - by Jensen Ching
I have a Kendo grid that has links, which I also set to selectable, snippet here: columns: [{ field: 'link', title: 'Link', template: 'Click Here' }], ... selectable: 'row', change: function(e) { var rowUid = this.select().data('uid'); rowDs = this.dataSource.getByUid(rowUid); console.log('Went (1): ' + rowDs); return false; } When I click on the external link , I also select the row. Is there any way to suppress the selectable event?

  • Need help with Xpath methods in javascript (selectSingleNode, selectNodes)

    - by Andrija
I want to optimize my javascript but I ran into a bit of trouble. I'm using XSLT transformation and the basic idea is to get a part of the XML and subquery it so the calls are faster and less expensive. This is a part of the XML: <suite>
<rows> <row id="spis_1"> <dispatch>'2008', '288627'</dispatch> <data col="urGod">
2008

Ur. god.
</data> <data col="rbr">
288627

Rbr.
</data> ... </rows>
</suite> In the page, this is the javascript that works with this: // this is my global variable for getting the elements so I just get the most // I can in one call elemCollection = iDom3.Table.all["spis"].XML.DOM.selectNodes("/suite/table/rows/row").context; //then I have the method that uses this by getting the subresults from elemCollection //rest of the method isn't interesting, only the selectNodes call _buildResults = function (){ var _RowList = elemCollection.selectNodes("/data[@col = 'urGod']/title"); var tmpResult = ['']; var substringResult=""; for (i=0; i<_RowList.length; i++) { tmpResult.push(_RowList[i].text,iDom3.Global.Delimiter); } ... //this variant works elemCollection = iDom3.Table.all["spis"].XML.DOM _buildResults = function (){ var _RowList = elemCollection.selectNodes("/suite/table/rows/row/data[@col = 'urGod']/title"); var tmpResult = ['']; var substringResult=""; for (i=0; i<_RowList.length; i++) { tmpResult.push(_RowList[i].text,iDom3.Global.Delimiter); } ... The problem is, I can't find a way to use the subresults to get what I need.

  • free css ui template

    - by Dels
Hi, Could someone show me some css ui framework/template for consistent web application, something like: http://www.webguitemplates.com/templates/futurism/futurism-blue http://www.webguitemplates.com/templates/simplus/simplus-silver http://www.adminizio.com/ http://gooeytemplates.myshopify.com/products/blue-atom http://gooeytemplates.myshopify.com/products/blue-carbon http://themeforest.net/category/site-templates/admin-skins http://demo.sproutcore.com/sample%5Fcontrols/ http://ukijs.org/functional/wave.html The framework/template is "pure" css and not javascript/ajax framework (ExtJS, JQuery UI, YUI, etc) and can work without JQuery or other JS/Ajax framework (mainly it just the UI). Maybe be a bit too much, but consider the template included: Form styling (input, button, select, fieldset, radio, checkbox, etc) Table styling (header, row-highlight, row-focus, etc) Navigation styling (tab based, list based, etc) Text typography (h1...h3, b, i, u, em, strong, a, etc) I found some here: http://www.webresourcesdepot.com/free-admin-template-for-web-applications/ http://blogfreakz.com/web-design/excellent-free-admin-template-for-web-applications/ I hope i could find any, especially the one that looks like google product (gmail, wave, analytics), just for speeding up web design process while maintaining consistency on UI design.

  • Printing images in Flex

    - by TERACytE
In s Flex 3 app, I have canvas with a PNG image for a background. The image is the same width & height as the canvas. I also have some other controls in the canvas: <mx:Canvas id="form" backgroundImage="@Embed(source='images/formBkg.png')" width="640" height="480" > <mx:label .../> <mx:label .../> I print the canvas using the following code: var printJob:FlexPrintJob = new FlexPrintJob(); if (printJob.start()) { printJob.addObject(form, FlexPrintJobScaleType.SHOW_ALL); printJob.send(); } On screen it looks great, but when I print it the quality of the png degrades. It is not terrible, but not as sharp as what is shown on screen. Is there anything I can do to improve the quality of the printed png?
