We have a Netezza table that contains dates stored in a numeric YYYYMMDD format (eg 20090731).
What is the best Netezza syntax to use to convert this into date format?
eg
SELECT somefunction(20090731) as NZDATE
?
Hi,
I'm writing an embedded ftp server, and I cannot get the listing format correctly. The server works completely, only programs like FileZilla cannot interpret the listing format. Here's a sample listing:
-rwxr--r-- 1 owner group 640 1970 01 01 test
-rwxr--r-- 1 owner group 13440 1970 01 01 test.html
-rwxr--r-- 1 owner group 512 1970 01 01 test2.txt
Which is basically:
permissions[tab]number?[tab]owner[tab]group[tab]filesize[tab]date[tab]filename
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Yvan

Pretty simple question: when doing some pretty intense drawing with CoreGraphics on the iPhone, how can I specify the pixel format to get optimal performance? Is the format that I get from the context via UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext per definition the best one? I know that RGB565 is supposed to be the fastest to use in OpenGL. Does that go for CoreGraphics as well? General advice?
Ant has a -e option for outputting error messages that can be parsed by emacs' compile command. For example, it is possible to do M-x compile, ant -e, then nagivate to any errors with C-x `.
Is it possible to make grails output its compilation errors in this format? Alternatively, is there an emacs variable that can be customized to handle error messages in the format that grails uses?
I wanted the user to input values in "dd MMM yyyy" format Only, I'm using dataGridView1.Columns["Rel_Date"].DefaultCellStyle.Format = "dd MMM yyyy"; in Form_Load.........
But somehow it's not working.
Hey.
I'm trying to format a date from a string into another format.
For example: 2012-05-29 23:55:52 into 29/05 *newline* 2010.
I just don't get the logics behind NSDate and NSDateFormatter, I think..
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks :)
Good day everyone and happy holidays.
I'm trying to create a "simple" program that allows me to create a list of video files (Youtube video's to be precise) that are then run through by my program and converted any given format to pure MP3 audio. For this purpose I'm trying to use the BASS.dll and well it isn't going so well.
I was wondering if anyone has used BASS to convert from one audio format to another?
Or is there another library better suited for this?
Hello,

Thank you for your help.
I really like the strtotime() function, but the user manual doesn't give a complete description of the supported date formats. strtotime('dd/mm/YYYY') doesn't work, it works only with mm/dd/YYYY format.
if i have date in dd/mm/YYYY format, ho can i convert it to YYYY-mm-dd?
i can do it by using explode() function, but i think tere are better solution.
Thanks
Hello,
I get the warning "Format not a string literal and no format arguments" on the NSLog call in the following block:
(void) alertView:(UIAlertView *)alertView clickedButtonAtIndex:(NSInteger)buttonIndex {
NSLog([NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d", buttonIndex]);
}
I have read in another post here that this error message indicates an insecure use of NSLog. Could someone point me in the direction of a properly formatted string for this?
Thanks for any and all assistance!

Hi,
How to convert a string format into an array format?
I have a string, $string = 'abcde'
I want to convert it to a 1 element array
$string[0] = 'abcde'
Is there a built in function for this task??
or the shortest way is to
$string = 'abcde';
$array[0] = $string;
$string = $array;
TIA
I have tried to generate "Hello World" with openxml sdk. To my surprise when trying to open the xml document it was not purely text format but it contains some ugly binary stuff.
Is there any option to have text format when the content is only text ?
Using String.Format how can i ensure all numbers have commas after every 3 digits
eg 23000 = "23,000" and that 0 returns "0".
String.Format("{0:n}", 0); //gives 0.00 which i dont want.
I dont want any decimal places, all numbers will be integers.
Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 allow you to export your contacts to CSV format. Is there a difference between the two or is this in fact the same format; in other words, are they backward compatible or did Outlook 2007 create some new fields that Outlook 2003 would have trouble importing?
Format is like:
CHINA;2002-06-25 00:00:00.000;5,60
CHINA;2002-06-26 00:00:00.000;5,32
CHINA;2002-06-27 00:00:00.000;5,31
and I try to use Python's CSV tools to parse it but cannot understand the paragraph, source:
And while the module doesn’t directly support parsing strings, it can easily be done:
import csv
for row in csv.reader(['one,two,three']):
print row
Could someone clarify the line ['one,two,three']? How would you use it with format A;B;C?

Reporting services use format strings to auto format cell data. For example "c2" formats a cell to be displayed as currency with a decimal precision of 2.
Does anyone know where I'd find a comprehensive list off all the different formats available?

Hi,
I'd like to discuss about different SMS Address Formats. In built-in contact of Motorola Milestone, phone no is saved as
914-383-46
I'd like to know that only "-" is included in any phone no format? Other characters possible? like "/", "space", etc...
PS: I've just only used Nokia 6210 and Motorola Milestone. So let me know other phones' format.
