  • Problems with deploying struts annotations in ear file

    I am attempting to make use of the struts 2 annotations, what I have found is if I deploy the app as a war file everything works fine but if I deploy my war as part of an ear file none of the struts annotations work only the actions defined in struts.xml work. I can't seem to work out why deploying as a ear file annotations don't work. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I am using struts 2.1.8 and deploying to Jboss 5 thanks

    I've downloaded the typesafe stack for windows and created a new project. When I fire up sbt and try to run the new unmodified application there's this error: [error] java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jboss/netty/channel/ChannelFactory just out of curiosity I also tried to compile the project. The error is different: [error] IO error while decoding .....welcome.template.scala with UTF-8 [error] Please try specifying another one using the -encoding option What can I do to fix this ?

    According to this section of the Hibernate documentation I should be able to query any java class in HQL http://docs.jboss.org/hibernate/core/3.3/reference/en/html/queryhql.html#queryhql-polymorphism Unfortunately when I run this query... "from Transaction trans where trans.envelopeId=:envelopeId" I get the message "Transaction is not mapped [from Transaction trans where trans.envelopeId=:envelopeId]". Transaction is an interface, I have to entity classes that implement it, I want on HQL query to return a Collection of type Transaction.

Quick question - I am using this wonderful package: http://ooweb.sourceforge.net/index.html Unfortunately, the JAR is only available through Sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ooweb/files/ooweb/0.8.0/ooweb-0.8.0-bin.tar.gz/download Is there a way to get Ivy to download a specific JAR?     Hi, When a seam application on JBOSS using java 1,5 is deployed in Unix platform, I am getting this error. errorjava.lang.NoClassDefFoundError at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:141) at java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment(GraphicsEnvi ronment.java:62) It runs fine on windows platform. On my local linux machine it runs fine. but on another linux machine it works some times and sometimes it throws up the above error

We are currently not in a position to deploy our application on top of App Engine because of limitations in the java frameworks (jboss seam 2.2.0) we are using to build our j2ee application. We would eventually want to deploy our production application on top of Google App Engine, but what are the short term options (java based open source products) which provides comparable functionality to Google App Engine's Image API and will have an easier migration path at a later point in time.

My service requires digest authentication and I would to make that part of my testing. Each of my services accepts a @Context SecurityContext securityContext parameter. Is there any way is inject a fake SecurityContext in the dispatcher so that I can test that my security methods function properly?

    I am getting this error when I tried to use a JPA object created by Roo. Entity manager has not been injected (is the Spring Aspects JAR configured as an AJC/AJDT aspects library?) I have followed some online advice to add the spring-aspects.jar to aspectj path in Eclipse but I still get this error. Does anyone know how to solve this? The environment I am using is Spring 3.0.5, Hibernate 3.6 and JBoss 6.0.0.Final.

However, the threads are already created and waiting, so it only applies after all threads are used at least once.     I've the same problem as described here In the generated SQL Informix expects catalog:schema.table but what's actually generated is catalog.schema.table which leads to a syntax error. Setting: hibernate.default_catalog= hibernate.default_schema= had no effect. I even removed schema and catalog from the table annotation, this caused a different issues : the query looked like that ..table same for setting catalog and schema to an empty string. My service is @Stateless @WebService(serviceName = "MemberServices", portName = "MemberPort", endpointInterface = "gov.virginia.vita.edmsvc.ws.MemberWS") @BindingType(value=SOAPBinding.SOAP12HTTP_BINDING) @TransactionAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.REQUIRED) public class MemberBean implements MemberWS, MemberBeanLocal { .... } However the server is throwing the following error: "This implementation does not contain a WSDL definition and is not a SOAP 1.1 based binding. Per the JAXWS specification, a WSDL definition cannot be generated for this implementation.error" this same service deploy successfully on Glashfish and JBoss, any ideas ?
