This appears to be a compelling refresh of the Web Forms paradigm and bring into the fold things that make ASP.NET MVC great. I hear it's going to be put out there at MIX10 this week, but anyone have any useful sites/references?

I have a regular expression validator with the regular expression ^[0-9]*(\\,)?[0-9]?[0-9]?$, now my client don't want this validation at client side but on button click i.e. Server Side.     Im using the following function to hide a series of forms on a page: $('.ask').toggle(function() { $(this).text('-').next('.addtitle').slideDown('fast'); }, function() { $(this).text('+').next('.addtitle').slideUp('fast'); }); There can be anything from 0 to 5 forms on the page all with the class .ask What I want to be able to do is to select one form NOT to hide, so the jQuery needs to hide all put one of the forms on the page randomly. How can I achieve this?

The user can enter anything in that textarea, e.g. many double or single quotes. How can I store that data? Normally we store by adding that data in one variable and then put that in sql, but the quotes cause problems.

  • A good way to release fixtures

    Hey, my problem is as follows, I am trying to create code where a set of sporting fixtures are created with dates on. Say I have 8 teams, with 7 rounds of fixtures. I have generated the fixtures, but want to add a date generation on them. So if i had 7 rounds, I would put 28 days and it would make each round 4 days from now, 8 days from now, etc. What would be the best way to go about doing this? Thanks

  • SQL to have one specific record at the top, all others below

    Hey all, I am trying to put together a query that will display one specific record (found by the record's primary ID) at the top, and display all other records below it, sorted by date (I have "date_added" as one of the fields in the table, in addition to primary ID). I could do this with a UNION (first select would locate the record I want, and the other select would display all other records), but I'm wondering if is there perhaps a better way? I'm using Oracle, by the way.

  • How do I most efficienty check the unique elements in a list?

    let's say I have a list li = [{'q':'apple','code':'2B'}, {'q':'orange','code':'2A'}, {'q':'plum','code':'2A'}] What is the most efficient way to return the count of unique "codes" in this list? In this case, the unique codes is 2, because only 2B and 2A are unique. I could put everything in a list and compare, but is this really efficient?

If they don't, do I have to put the original class with the byte stream(serialized object) in one package when sending it to another PC? Can the original class be like a DLL file?
