    This seems like a pretty straightforward thing to do, but I can't find anything off the open-source shelf. Is there a solution already out there that does the following: can be configured with an arbitrary XSL stylesheet generates a web form based on an arbitrary XML document and the XSL creates edit functionality in appropriate places in the rendered form updates the local representation of the XML document provides capabilities to view, save the new XML document Ideally, one that plugs into a Java web application. Even better if it can generate the XSL based on schema documents - but that might not be feasible, not really thought it through. For context, I'm thinking things like pleasant-for-humans editing of Maven POMs, ANT build.xml, etc. Cheers,

  • Best way to create a preview functionality in rails

    Hi all, I'm looking to implement a preview functionality in my posts scaffold. All I need to do is allow a user to enter information in the new view (/posts/new) and then replace the submit button with a preview button. Once the preview button is clicked, the user is routed to the preview page (probably /posts/new/preview). If the user wants to make a change they would click 'go back' or if they are happy with the post they can then submit the post. I found this article (http://eyedeal.team88.org/node/105) but it seems dated. Any ideas on what the best approach for this would be? Many thanks, Tony

I use sqlite to gather data and want to use grid in wxHASKELL TO present data in app. Everything is all right but I want to have possibility to add rows from haskell app. I achieved that but when I refresh it It expands and covers other controls. To make things short how can I set maximum size of control, and if there are more rows in that grid then make scroll appear ? thanks for any help, bye

    I'm writing a kind of HTTP proxy, so I need to be able to do 3 things: Parse an HTTP-date given any of the 3 formats specified in RFC 2616, sec 3.3, Convert a file date-time to an HTTP-date string, and Output the date to a string. For reference, theses are examples of the date-times I need to parse. I will output only the first format: Sun, 06 Nov 1994 08:49:37 GMT ; RFC 822, updated by RFC 1123 Sunday, 06-Nov-94 08:49:37 GMT ; RFC 850, obsoleted by RFC 1036 Sun Nov 6 08:49:37 1994 ; ANSI C's asctime() format I'm pretty sure Boost date_time can do all of this, but I'm having some trouble with number 1. Does anyone already have code to do this? Perhaps I'm not using google proficiently, but I can't find an example of how to do this with boost anywhere. Thanks for any help!

    I am trying to read in a series of tab delimited text files into existing MySQL tables. The code I have is quite simple: $lines = file("import/file_to_import.txt"); foreach ($lines as $line_num => $line) { if($line_num > 1) { $arr = explode("\t", $line); $sql = sprintf("INSERT INTO my_table VALUES('%s', '%s', '%s', %s, %s);", trim((string)$arr[0]), trim((string)$arr[1]), trim((string)$arr[2]), trim((string)$arr[3]), trim((string)$arr[4])); mysql_query($sql, $database) or die(mysql_error()); } } But no matter what I do (hence the casting before each variable in the sprintf statement) I get the "You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1" error. I echo out the code, paste it into a MySQL editor and it runs fine, it just won't execute from the PHP script. What am I doing wrong?? Si

    Im new to android and thought it would be fun to develop an app that goes out and checks woot.com. The idea I came up with is for the app to be a widget that refresh woot.com once a day and displays a picture of the item and price. If the widget is clicked on it would open the browser to woot.com. I then imported them to visual studio and it all appeared in the correct form, except one of the relationships did not appear. I have checked everything I could think of and it is the exact same as the other relationships. If you know anything I can check, I would appreciate it.     In Coldfusion, I have Master and Detail data that I need to display in two separate cfgrids; like the typical Customers/Orders scenario. My cfgrids are bound to cfc functions which populate the cfgrids. In my current dataset, only one Customer has Orders and when I click on this record in the Master datagrid the Detail datagrid displays the related records. But when I click on a record in the Master datagrid that has no related detail records, the Detail datagrid does not refresh but maintains display of the previous data. Also the search icon within the datagrid's control panel indicates it is searching for values rather than displaying the Refresh icon. Can you please show me how to establish Master and Detail cfgrids where I can see Orders of Customers as I navigate through the Master datagrid? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated! Maklar

  • can't see the result after i update a row in a table in a gridview

    Peace! i created a gridview and ive bended the data using a ObjectDataSource, for some reasons i created the CRUD methods to do the work instead of using the CRUD method generated by the LINQDataSource; everything is just working fine but the update method, when i update a row in my gridview everything become as if there isnt any update! but when i check the database i can see that the rows is been updated! i can't find a solution (yet) to this issue. i'am using the updatepanel to have the autopostback without refreshing the page. thank you

    I have decided that I would like to have a list with "complex context", i.e. of custom-controls. (The goal is something looking like a buddy list, with photos, status-icons, text, "start-chat-button".) But I like it to behave as a list: scrollbars, possibility to select multiple items etc. When I have been looking at ListView and ListBox I only see that I can add text and an icon, but not arbitrary controls. I'm I missing how this is done? Or should I use something else then ListView/ListBox?

    I'm looking for some sample database data that I can use for testing and demonstrating a DB tool I am working on. I need a DB that has (preferably) many tables, and many foreign key relationships between the tables. Ideally the data would be in SQL dump format, or at least in something that maintains the foreign key references, and could be easily import into an RDBMS (MySQL or H2). The dataset itself doesn't have to be huge (in fact, best if it's not). I thought about using the Stackoverflow Data Dump, but it's only about 5 tables.
