  In my code I am using java.sql.PreparedStatement. I then execute the setString() method to populate the wildcards of the prepared statement. Is there a way for me to retrieve (and print out) the final query before the executeQuery() method is called and the query is executed? I Just want this for debugging purposes. Thanks.

Normally, to find a character (for example: "z") in a database I use a query like this : mysql_query("SELECT * FROM mytable WHERE tag LIKE '%z%'"); But here, I want to found the % character, but in SQL it's a joker so when I write: mysql_query("SELECT * FROM mytable WHERE tag LIKE '%%%'"); It show me all my datas.   I have a set field in my db that is longtext. I have used prices in this field and cannot change the field type to integer. In my query however I need to sort by these fields and assume I should treat them as an integer. is there another way to query these results to sort by price as an integer and not longtext without having to change the field type? at the moment 3900000 is smaller than 4300 in my result set.

When i refresh the page, the form doesn't disappear, but when i click a link with a query string (thisPage.php?lang=fr...), the form disappears. I know i m asking the form only if the button is pressed, but how can i ignore the query string.

Now I have added multiple pages so now even though I am on the second page the first result on the page is still '1st'.
