  • Why the toolbar button icon is grey at runtime?

    - by OhrmaZd
I"m setting the icon of a toolbar button (using Infragistics component library for the toolbar), The problem is that on design time the icon is showing normally. But at runtime the icon become greyed, though the drawing of the icon is still apparent, but its colors are all lost and the shape of the icon image is grey. So i'm wondering if it's colour related bug, or I need to tweek something in VS, or it is a bug in the library i'm using i.e. Infragistics. So anyone faced that problem before and fixed it?

  • C++ execution error: This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

    - by user1846547
I am trying to run a C++ program and am getting the following error message when I try to run the program using - Codeblocks IDE and SQL API: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Process returned 3 (0x3) execution time : 7.547 s Press any key to continue." The program compiles fine but on execution throws this error. My current OS is Windows server 2003 - SP2 (32 bit). Also program compiles and executes fine on Windows XP (32 bit) without any hassles. I checked the services (services.msc) running on my XP machine and compared with Windows server 2003 and found the settings same. Can someone please have a look and help me resolve the issue? thanks, Dhruv

  • How to build a LINQ query from text at runtime?

    - by Danvil
I have a class A { public int X; public double Y; public string Z; // and more fields/properties ... }; and a List<A> data and can build a linq query like e.g. var q = from a in data where a.X > 20 select new {a.Y, a.Z}; Then dataGridView1.DataSource = q.ToList(); displays the selection in my DataGridView. Now the question, is it possible to build the query from a text the user has entered at runtime? Like var q = QueryFromText("from a in data where a.X > 20 select new {a.Y, a.Z}"); The point being, that the user (having programming skills) can dynamically and freely select the displayed data.

In a ByteArrayOutputStream named outputStream i have my pdf built with JasperReport. I write: PortletResponse portletResponse = (PortletResponse)externalCtx.getResponse(); HttpServletResponse httpResponse = PortalUtil.getHttpServletResponse(portletResponse); ServletOutputStream out = httpResponse.getOutputStream(); String filename="Pdf" + System.currentTimeMillis()+".pdf"; httpResponse.reset(); httpResponse.setContentType("application/pdf"); httpResponse.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=\""+ filename + "\""); httpResponse.setContentLength(outputStream.size()); outputStream.writeTo(out); out.flush(); out.close(); I do not see anything output!   • Best XML Parser for RSS Feeds in Objective C ?

    - by Ansari
Hi all, I am going to develop an application which will parse the RSS feeds and display the items in my custom cell.(Cell containing the image, label, description, etc). The most popular way of parsing is using the NSXMLParser. But this is bit of a lengthy way. So is there any other way to do this. Or my question will be, which is the best xml parser for objective-c ?

  • WLS MBeans

    - by Jani Rautiainen
WLS provides a set of Managed Beans (MBeans) to configure, monitor and manage WLS resources. We can use the WLS MBeans to automate some of the tasks related to the configuration and maintenance of the WLS instance. The MBeans can be accessed a number of ways; using various UIs and programmatically using Java or WLST Python scripts. For customization development we can use the features to e.g. manage the deployed customization in MDS, control logging levels, automate deployment of dependent libraries etc. This article is an introduction on how to access and use the WLS MBeans. The goal is to illustrate the various access methods in a single article; the details of the features are left to the linked documentation. This article covers Windows based environment, steps for Linux would be similar however there would be some differences e.g. on how the file paths are defined. MBeansThe WLS MBeans can be categorized to runtime and configuration MBeans. The Runtime MBeans can be used to access the runtime information about the server and its resources. The data from runtime beans is only available while the server is running. The runtime beans can be used to e.g. check the state of the server or deployment. The Configuration MBeans contain information about the configuration of servers and resources. The configuration of the domain is stored in the config.xml file and the configuration MBeans can be used to access and modify the configuration data. For more information on the WLS MBeans refer to: Understanding WebLogic Server MBeans WLS MBean reference Java Management Extensions (JMX)We can use JMX APIs to access the WLS MBeans. This allows us to create Java programs to configure, monitor, and manage WLS resources. In order to use the WLS MBeans we need to add the following library into the class-path: WL_HOME\lib\wljmxclient.jar Connecting to a WLS MBean server The WLS MBeans are contained in a Mbean server, depending on the requirement we can connect to (MBean Server / JNDI Name): Domain Runtime MBean Server weblogic.management.mbeanservers.domainruntime Runtime MBean Server weblogic.management.mbeanservers.runtime Edit MBean Server weblogic.management.mbeanservers.edit To connect to the WLS MBean server first we need to create a map containing the credentials; Hashtable<String, String> param = new Hashtable<String, String>(); param.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "weblogic");        param.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "weblogic1");        param.put(JMXConnectorFactory.PROTOCOL_PROVIDER_PACKAGES, "weblogic.management.remote"); These define the user, password and package containing the protocol. Next we create the connection: JMXServiceURL serviceURL =     new JMXServiceURL("t3","127.0.0.1",7101,     "/jndi/weblogic.management.mbeanservers.domainruntime"); JMXConnector connector = JMXConnectorFactory.connect(serviceURL, param); MBeanServerConnection connection = connector.getMBeanServerConnection(); With the connection we can now access the MBeans for the WLS instance. For a complete example see Appendix A of this post. For more details refer to Accessing WebLogic Server MBeans with JMX Accessing WLS MBeans The WLS MBeans are structured hierarchically; in order to access content we need to know the path to the MBean we are interested in. The MBean is accessed using “MBeanServerConnection. getAttribute” API.  WLS provides entry points to the hierarchy allowing us to navigate all the WLS MBeans in the hierarchy (MBean Server / JMX object name): Domain Runtime MBean Server com.bea:Name=DomainRuntimeService,Type=weblogic.management.mbeanservers.domainruntime.DomainRuntimeServiceMBean Runtime MBean Servers com.bea:Name=RuntimeService,Type=weblogic.management.mbeanservers.runtime.RuntimeServiceMBean Edit MBean Server com.bea:Name=EditService,Type=weblogic.management.mbeanservers.edit.EditServiceMBean For example we can access the Domain Runtime MBean using: ObjectName service = new ObjectName( "com.bea:Name=DomainRuntimeService," + "Type=weblogic.management.mbeanservers.domainruntime.DomainRuntimeServiceMBean"); Same syntax works for any “child” WLS MBeans e.g. to find out all application deployments we can: ObjectName domainConfig = (ObjectName)connection.getAttribute(service,"DomainConfiguration"); ObjectName[] appDeployments = (ObjectName[])connection.getAttribute(domainConfig,"AppDeployments"); Alternatively we could access the same MBean using the full syntax: ObjectName domainConfig = new ObjectName("com.bea:Location=DefaultDomain,Name=DefaultDomain,Type=Domain"); ObjectName[] appDeployments = (ObjectName[])connection.getAttribute(domainConfig,"AppDeployments"); For more details refer to Accessing WebLogic Server MBeans with JMX Invoking operations on WLS MBeans The WLS MBean operations can be invoked with MBeanServerConnection. invoke API; in the following example we query the state of “AppsLoggerService” application: ObjectName appRuntimeStateRuntime = new ObjectName("com.bea:Name=AppRuntimeStateRuntime,Type=AppRuntimeStateRuntime"); Object[] parameters = { "AppsLoggerService", "DefaultServer" }; String[] signature = { "java.lang.String", "java.lang.String" }; String result = (String)connection.invoke(appRuntimeStateRuntime,"getCurrentState",parameters, signature); The result returned should be "STATE_ACTIVE" assuming the "AppsLoggerService" application is up and running. WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST) The WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST) is a command-line scripting environment that we can access the same WLS MBeans. The tool is located under: $MW_HOME\oracle_common\common\bin\wlst.bat Do note that there are several instances of the wlst script under the $MW_HOME, each of them works, however the commands available vary, so we want to use the one under “oracle_common”. The tool is started in offline mode. In offline mode we can access and manipulate the domain configuration. In online mode we can access the runtime information. We connect to the Administration Server : connect("weblogic","weblogic1", "t3://127.0.0.1:7101") In both online and offline modes we can navigate the WLS MBean using commands like "ls" to print content and "cd" to navigate between objects, for example: All the commands available can be obtained with: help('all') For details of the tool refer to WebLogic Scripting Tool and for the commands available WLST Command and Variable Reference. Also do note that the WLST tool can be invoked from Java code in Embedded Mode. Running Scripts The WLST tool allows us to automate tasks using Python scripts in Script Mode. The script can be manually created or recorded by the WLST tool. Example commands of recording a script: startRecording("c:/temp/recording.py") <commands that we want to record> stopRecording() We can run the script from WLST: execfile("c:/temp/recording.py") We can also run the script from the command line: C:\apps\Oracle\Middleware\oracle_common\common\bin\wlst.cmd c:/temp/recording.py There are various sample scripts are provided with the WLS instance. UI to Access the WLS MBeans There are various UIs through which we can access the WLS MBeans. Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control Oracle WebLogic Server Administration Console Fusion Middleware Control MBean Browser In the integrated JDeveloper environment only the Oracle WebLogic Server Administration Console is available to us. For more information refer to the documentation, one noteworthy feature in the console is the ability to record WLST scripts based on the navigation. In addition to the UIs above the JConsole included in the JDK can be used to access the WLS MBeans. The JConsole needs to be started with specific parameter to force WLS objects to be used and jar files in the classpath: "C:\apps\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24\bin\jconsole" -J-Djava.class.path=C:\apps\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24\lib\jconsole.jar;C:\apps\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24\lib\tools.jar;C:\apps\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\wljmxclient.jar -J-Djmx.remote.protocol.provider.pkgs=weblogic.management.remote For more details refer to the Accessing Custom MBeans from JConsole. Summary In this article we have covered various ways we can access and use the WLS MBeans in context of integrated WLS in JDeveloper to be used for Fusion Application customization development. • How to check any undocumented methods provided by apple?

    - by Mahbubur R Aaman
The following tools is provided by Apple dlopen dlsym objc_getClass sel_registerName objc_msgSend Those are listing Objective-C selectors, or strings. Objective-C selectors are stored in a special region of the binary, and therefore Apple could extract the content from there, and check if you've used some undocumented Objective-C methods. How to utilize these tools to find undocumented Objective-C methods? EDIT: Recently, one of my App rejected due to using one undocumented methods. -[UIDevice setOrientation] Since, selectors are independent from the class you're messaging, even if my custom class defines -setOrientation: irrelevant to UIDevice, there will be a possbility of being rejected.

Everything was running smoothly. Everything had been downloaded from Internet, packages had been installed and a prompt asked for some obsolete programs/files to be removed or kept. • Is there any way a user can view or copy GUI controls' properties at runtime?

    - by jqngrc
Here are two examples of what I mean: I am sure you all too have experienced this frustration before. A dialog box opens that displays only part of a long string (e.g. a file path), but won't allow you to select the text so you can see the full string. Neither it will resize upon window resizing—which is unusual among Windows dialog boxes. The text is hidden, period. Copying a very long drop-down list control contents to a text file. Do you know any way to solve these problems?

  • Access to DataTemplate Control of WPF Toolkit DataGridCell at Runtime, How?

    - by LukePet
I have a DataGrid defined with WPF Toolkit. The CellEditingTemplate of this DataGrid is associated at runtime with a custom function that build a FrameworkElementFactory element. Now I have to access to control that is inserted inside DataTemplate of CellEditingTempleta, but I do not know how to do. On web I found a useful ListView Helper... public static class ListViewHelper { public static FrameworkElement GetElementFromCellTemplate(ListView listView, Int32 column, Int32 row, String name) { if (row >= listView.Items.Count || row < 0) { throw new ArgumentOutOfRangeException("row"); } GridView gridView = listView.View as GridView; if (gridView == null) { return null; } if (column >= gridView.Columns.Count || column < 0) { throw new ArgumentOutOfRangeException("column"); } ListViewItem item = listView.ItemContainerGenerator.ContainerFromItem(listView.Items[row]) as ListViewItem; if (item != null) { GridViewRowPresenter rowPresenter = GetFrameworkElementByName<GridViewRowPresenter>(item); if (rowPresenter != null) { ContentPresenter templatedParent = VisualTreeHelper.GetChild(rowPresenter, column) as ContentPresenter; DataTemplate dataTemplate = gridView.Columns[column].CellTemplate; if (dataTemplate != null && templatedParent != null) { return dataTemplate.FindName(name, templatedParent) as FrameworkElement; } } } return null; } private static T GetFrameworkElementByName<T>(FrameworkElement referenceElement) where T : FrameworkElement { FrameworkElement child = null; for (Int32 i = 0; i < VisualTreeHelper.GetChildrenCount(referenceElement); i++) { child = VisualTreeHelper.GetChild(referenceElement, i) as FrameworkElement; System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine(child); if (child != null && child.GetType() == typeof(T)) { break; } else if (child != null) { child = GetFrameworkElementByName<T>(child); if (child != null && child.GetType() == typeof(T)) { break; } } } return child as T; } } this code work with the ListView object but not with the DataGrid object. How can use something like this in DataGrid?

  • Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.InvalidOperationException: Two components with the same id.

    - by Irwin
I'm working in ASP .NET dynamic data. In one of my edit controls I wanted to allow the user to add records from a related table to the current page. (Literally, if you are on the orders page, you would be allowed to add a new customer to the system on this page as well, and then associate it with that order). So, I have a DetailsView set to InsertMode, nested inside of an UpdatePanel, which is shown by a ModalPopupExtender which is invoked when 'add new' is clicked. This doohickey works the first time i execute this process, that is, a customer is added (and i update the dropdown list as well). However, I realized it didn't work (properly) again until I refreshed the entire page. When I attached my debugger, my worst fears were realized (ok, not really). But an exception was being thrown: "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.InvalidOperationException: Two components with the same id." Which seemed to be complaining about a Calendar Extender Control that is part of the details view. Any guidance on what's going on here would be great. Thanks.

  • SCORM 2004 Sequencing: What Am I doing wrong?

    - by Van
    This quiz is the last SCO in a grouping of 4 SCOs. SCO 1,2,3 have to be completed before this quiz becomes available. The problem is that when 1,2,3 are completed the menu skips right over this quiz and goes to the first page in the next module. This quiz stats grayed out the entire time. I think it has to do with the precondition logic or the objectives but I've tried everything I can think of and nothing works. <item identifier="quiz1_100" identifierref="res-quiz1" isvisible="true"> <title>Quiz 1</title> <imsss:sequencing> <imsss:controlMode choice="true" choiceExit="false" flow="true" forwardOnly="false" useCurrentAttemptObjectiveInfo="false" useCurrentAttemptProgressInfo="false" /> <imsss:sequencingRules> <imsss:preConditionRule> <imsss:ruleConditions conditionCombination="any"> <imsss:ruleCondition referencedObjective="obj_1000_VHKP_test" operator="not" condition="objectiveStatusKnown" /> <imsss:ruleCondition referencedObjective="obj_2000_VHKP_test" operator="not" condition="objectiveStatusKnown" /> <imsss:ruleCondition referencedObjective="obj_3000_VHKP_test" operator="not" condition="objectiveStatusKnown" /> <imsss:ruleCondition referencedObjective="quiz_primary" operator="not" condition="objectiveStatusKnown" /> </imsss:ruleConditions> <imsss:ruleAction action="disabled" /> </imsss:preConditionRule> <imsss:preConditionRule> <imsss:ruleConditions conditionCombination="any"> <imsss:ruleCondition referencedObjective="obj_1000_VHKP_test" operator="not" condition="objectiveStatusKnown" /> <imsss:ruleCondition referencedObjective="obj_2000_VHKP_test" operator="not" condition="objectiveStatusKnown" /> <imsss:ruleCondition referencedObjective="obj_3000_VHKP_test" operator="not" condition="objectiveStatusKnown" /> <imsss:ruleCondition referencedObjective="quiz_primary" operator="not" condition="objectiveStatusKnown" /> </imsss:ruleConditions> <imsss:ruleAction action="skip" /> </imsss:preConditionRule> <imsss:preConditionRule> <imsss:ruleConditions conditionCombination="all"> <imsss:ruleCondition condition="completed" /> </imsss:ruleConditions> <imsss:ruleAction action="skip" /> </imsss:preConditionRule> </imsss:sequencingRules> <imsss:objectives> <imsss:primaryObjective objectiveID="quiz_primary" satisfiedByMeasure="true"> <imsss:minNormalizedMeasure>0.8</imsss:minNormalizedMeasure> <imsss:mapInfo targetObjectiveID="quiz_complete" writeNormalizedMeasure="true" writeSatisfiedStatus="true" /> </imsss:primaryObjective> <imsss:objective satisfiedByMeasure="false" objectiveID="obj_1000_VHKP_test"> <imsss:mapInfo targetObjectiveID="gObj_1000_VHKP" readSatisfiedStatus="true" readNormalizedMeasure="false" /> </imsss:objective> <imsss:objective satisfiedByMeasure="false" objectiveID="obj_2000_VHKP_test"> <imsss:mapInfo targetObjectiveID="gObj_2000_VHKP" readSatisfiedStatus="true" readNormalizedMeasure="false" /> </imsss:objective> <imsss:objective satisfiedByMeasure="false" objectiveID="obj_3000_VHKP_test"> <imsss:mapInfo targetObjectiveID="gObj_3000_VHKP" readSatisfiedStatus="true" readNormalizedMeasure="false" /> </imsss:objective> <!-- <imsss:objective satisfiedByMeasure="false" objectiveID="obj_quiz1"> <imsss:mapInfo targetObjectiveID="quiz_primary" readSatisfiedStatus="true" readNormalizedMeasure="false" /> </imsss:objective> --> <imsss:objective satisfiedByMeasure="false" objectiveID="course_complete"> <imsss:mapInfo targetObjectiveID="obj_EJBOWNADV_primary" readSatisfiedStatus="true" readNormalizedMeasure="false" /> </imsss:objective> </imsss:objectives> <imsss:deliveryControls tracked="true" completionSetByContent="true" objectiveSetByContent="false" /> </imsss:sequencing> </item>

  • object reference not set to an instance of object exception coming at runtime.

    - by amby
Hi, I am getting this error at runtime: object reference not set to an instance of object my question is that am i using stringbuilder array correctly here. Because I am new in C#. and i think its the problem with my stringbuilder array. Below is the code: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Web; using System.Web.Services; using System.Web.UI; using System.Web.UI.WebControls; using System.Data; using System.Text; using System.Web.Script.Serialization; using System.Web.Script.Services; using System.Collections; public partial class Testing : System.Web.UI.Page { protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { } [WebMethod] public static string SendMessage() { try { al2c00.ldap ws = new al2c00.ldap(); Hashtable htPeople = new Hashtable(); //DataTable dt = ws.GetEmployeeDetailsBy_NTID("650FA25C-9561-430B-B757-835D043EA5E5", "john"); StringBuilder[] empDetails = new StringBuilder[100]; string num = "ambreen"; empDetails[0].Append("amby"); num = empDetails[0].ToString(); htPeople.Add("bellempposreport", num); JavaScriptSerializer jss = new JavaScriptSerializer(); string output = jss.Serialize(htPeople); return output; } catch(Exception ex) { return ex.Message + "-" + ex.StackTrace; } } } please reply me what i am doing wrong here.

  • Why are all objects in this extension of usercontrol null at runtime?

    - by csciguy
All, I have a simple class. public class Container : UserControl { public bool IsClickable { get; set; } } I have a class that extends this class. public class ScrollingContainer : Container { public void Draw() { } public void Update() { } } I have a custom class, that then extends ScrollingContainer. public partial class MaskContainer : ScrollingContainer { public MaskContainer() { InitializeComponent(); } } XAML <local:ScrollingContainer x:Class="Test.Types.MaskContainer" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" xmlns:local="clr-namespace:GameObjects;assembly=GameObjects" mc:Ignorable="d" > </local:ScrollingContainer> In my mainpage.xaml, I have the following. <types:MaskContainer x:Name="maskContainer" Canvas.ZIndex="1" Width="Auto" Height="Auto"> <Canvas x:Name="maskCanvas"> <Button x:Name="button1" Content="test button"/> </Canvas> </types:MaskContainer> Why, at runtime, are both maskCanvas and button1 null? maskContainer is not null. The inheritance should be straightforward here. Container inherits usercontrol. Scrollable container inherits container. Mask Container inherits scrollable container. Why am I losing the fucntionality of the original base class at this level? Is it incorrect to add the element (button1) to the maskcontainer inside of the main.xaml? My end goal is to create a container that is reusable, but inherits all properties/methods that I've specified throughout the chain. Any help is appreciated.

  • Clarification needed: How does .NET runtime resolve assembly references from parent folder?

    - by aoven
I have the following output structure of executables in my solution: %ProgramFiles% | +-[MyAppName] | +-[Client] | | | +-(EXE & several DLL assemblies) | +-[Common] | | | +-[Schema Assemblies] | | | | | +-(several DLL assemblies) | | | +-(several DLL assemblies) | +-[Server] | +-(EXE & several DLL assemblies) Each project in solution references different DLL assemblies, some of which are outputs from other projects in solution, and others are plain 3rd-party assemblies. For example, [Client] EXE might reference an assembly in [Common], which is in a different directory branch. All references have "Copy Local" set to false, to mirror the layout of the files in the final installed application. Now, if I take a look at reference properties in the Visual Studio IDE, I see that "Path" of every reference is absolute and that it corresponds to the actual output location of the assembly. That's understandable and correct. As expected, solution compiles and runs just fine. What I don't understand is, why everything seems to work even when I close the IDE, rename the [MyAppName] directory and run the [Client] EXE manually? How does the runtime find the assemblies if the reference paths aren't the same as they were at the time of linking? To be clear - this is actually exactly what I'm after: a semi-dispersed set of application files that run fine regardless of where the [MyAppName] directory is located or even what it's named. I'd just like to know, how and why this works without any specific path resolution on my part. I've read the answers to this similar question, but I still don't get it. Help much appreciated!

  • Development/runtime Licensing mechanism for a C# class library?

    - by Darryl
I'm developing a .Net class library (a data provider) and I'm starting to think about how I would handle licensing the library to prospective purchasers. By licensing, I mean the mechanics of trying to prevent my library from being used by those who haven't purchased it, not the software license (i.e., Apache, Gnu, etc). I've never dealt with licensing, and in the past, I've always developed apps, not libraries. I don't want to make things difficult for my customers; know it is not possible to make it ironclad. Just some mechanism that gives me decent protection without making the customer jump through hoops or gnash their teeth. I think the mechanism would check for a valid license when the class is being used in development mode, and not in runtime mode (when the customer's software is released to their customers). I think libraries are typically sold per developer, but I'm not sure how that could be accomplished without making the mechanism odious for my customers; maybe that gets left to the honor system. I Googled this and found many approaches. Ideally, I'd like to do something that is generally accepted and common, the "right" way class libraries are licensed, if that exists, rather than making my customers deal with yet another license mechanism. A firm push in the right direction will be greatly appreciated!
