He gave me an example and i got confused, here it is: a file with protection mode 644 (octal) contained in a directory with protection mode 730. so it means: File:101 100 100 (owner, group,other: r-x r-- r--) Directory:111 011 000 (owner, group,other: rwx -wx ---) How can file be compromised in this case ?

  • Wikipedia API: list=alllinks confusion

    I'm doing a research project for the summer and I've got to use get some data from Wikipedia, store it and then do some analysis on it. I'm using the Wikipedia API to gather the data and I've got that down pretty well. What my questions is in regards to the links-alllinks option in the API doc here After reading the description, both there and in the API itself (it's down and bit and I can't link directly to the section), I think I understand what it's supposed to return. However when I ran a query it gave me back something I didn't expect. Here's the query I ran: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&prop=revisions&titles=google&rvprop=ids|timestamp|user|comment|content&rvlimit=1&list=alllinks&alunique&allimit=40&format=xml Which in essence says: Get the last revision of the Google page, include the id, timestamp, user, comment and content of each revision, and return it in XML format. The allinks (I thought) should give me back a list of wikipedia pages which point to the google page (In this case the first 40 unique ones).     I've got a radiobuttonlist with a bunch of list items, some of them disabled. The label control beside the radio button turns gray, which can be hard to read. How do I change the color of the label? I've tried CSS, changing the forecolor - nothing seems to work: currentButton.Attributes.Add("class", "disabled"); Any ideas?

  • Html / Email / Distribution list problem from a noob

    I need to create a feature for a website that will allow a user to enter their email in order to receive a free promotion (which will be emailed immediately) and be added to an announcement list. I haven't done any web programming and am wondering where I should start? Should I just create a database and everytime an email is entered, add the email to the database, then when I want to send out an announcement just write a script that will send an email to every address? However, I feel there should be more powerful tools. Besides "cil" and git-issues [neither of which I've tried], what tools are available? PS I want something that's entirely text/command line based.     Windows 7 computer running SQL Server Express 2008. When I try to run net start mssql$sqlexpress I receive an error: System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied The SQL service is running under "Network Service" account The service starts fine if I use the services window. Could somebody help me figure out why I am receiving this error?

    I have some viewdata that is generated by going through my repository to the database to grab some scheduling info. When the information is stored in the Viewdata, I noticed that the viewdata is enumerated. How could I access the enumerated items and generate a table/list based on the viewdata? Most of the information just needs to be spit out into a table, but one item will have a link generated for it. Thanks!
