• RegularExpressionValidator always fails, but ValidationExpression works in testing

    - by Jerph
    I found the answer to this, but it's a bit of a gotcha so I wanted to share it here. I have a regular expression that validates passwords. They should be 7 to 60 characters with at least one numeric and one alpha character. Pretty standard. I used positive lookaheads (the (?= operator) to implement it: (?=^.{7,60}$)(?=.*[0-9].*)(?=.*[a-zA-Z].*) I checked this expression in my unit tests using Regex.IsMatch(), and it worked fine. However, when I use it in a RegularExpressionValidator, it always fails. Why?

  • Copying subversion commit messages

    - by Falcor
    I know this isn't the BEST practice, but every once in a while when I'm merging up a huge batch up changes with the trunk (and I know my branch is current), I will simply delete the contents of the trunk and then copy the contents of my branch up, so that I don't have to deal with resolving conflicts for an hour. The problem is that I seem to lose the entire history of commit messages for each file. My branch still has the correct history of commit messages... how can I merge them up?

  • remove params from form request

    - by joe
    Hello folks, Upon user interaction, I need to remove certain input params from an HTML form before submission. Using javascript to remove the input fields from the DOM doesn't seem to actually remove the params from being sent through the request. Is there a way to delete or clear the actual request params?

  • deleting dynamically allocated object that contains vector in C++ STL

    - by kobac
    I have a class class ChartLine{ protected: vector<Point> line; // points connecting the line CString name; //line name for legend CPen pen; //color, size and style properties of the line }; where Point is a structure struct Point{ CString x; double y; }; In main() I dynamically allocate objects of type ChartLine with new operator. If I use delete afterwards, will default destructor ~ChartLine() properly dealocate (or clear) member ChartLine::line(which is vector btw) or I would have to clear that vector in ~ChartLine() manually? Thanks in advance. Cheers.

  • C++0x class factory with variadic templates problem

    - by randomenglishbloke
    I have a class factory where I'm using variadic templates for the c'tor parameters (code below). However, when I attempt to use it, I get compile errors; when I originally wrote it without parameters, it worked fine. Here is the class: template< class Base, typename KeyType, class... Args > class GenericFactory { public: GenericFactory(const GenericFactory&) = delete; GenericFactory &operator=(const GenericFactory&) = delete; typedef Base* (*FactFunType)(Args...); template <class Derived> static void Register(const KeyType &key, FactFunType fn) { FnList[key] = fn; } static Base* Create(const KeyType &key, Args... args) { auto iter = FnList.find(key); if (iter == FnList.end()) return 0; else return (iter->second)(args...); } static GenericFactory &Instance() { static GenericFactory gf; return gf; } private: GenericFactory() = default; typedef std::unordered_map<KeyType, FactFunType> FnMap; static FnMap FnList; }; template <class B, class D, typename KeyType, class... Args> class RegisterClass { public: RegisterClass(const KeyType &key) { GenericFactory<B, KeyType, Args...>::Instance().Register(key, FactFn); } static B *FactFn(Args... args) { return new D(args...); } }; Here is the error: when calling (e.g.) // Tucked out of the way RegisterClass<DataMap, PDColumnMap, int, void *> RC_CT_PD(0); GCC 4.5.0 gives me: In constructor 'RegisterClass<B, D, KeyType, Args>::RegisterClass(const KeyType&) [with B = DataMap, D = PDColumnMap, KeyType = int, Args = {void*}]': no matching function for call to 'GenericFactory<DataMap, int, void*>::Register(const int&, DataMap* (&)(void*))' I can't see why it won't compile and after extensive googling I couldn't find the answer. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong (aside from the strange variable name, which makes sense in context)?

  • How do I do division on HH:MM:SS format time strings in C#?

    - by Jake
    I have a series of times that are coming to me as strings from a web service. The times are formated as HH:MM:SS:000 (3 milisecond digits). I need to compare two times to determine if one is more than twice as long as the other: if ( timeA / timeB > 2 ) What's the simplest way to work with the time strings? If I was writing in Python this would be the answer to my question: Difference between two time intervals in Python Edit: What I'm really looking for is a way to get the ratio of timeA to timeB, which requires division, not subtraction. Unfortunately, the DateTime structure doesn't appear to have a division operator. Updated the question title to reflect this.

  • ActionScript: Using 'in' on protected/private variables?

    - by David Wolever
    Is there any way to mimic the in operator, but testing for the existence of protected or private fields? For example, this: <mx:Script> public var pub:Boolean = true; protected var prot:Boolean = true; private var priv:Boolean = true; </mx:Script> <mx:creationComplete> for each (var prop in ["pub", "prot", "priv", "bad"]) trace(prop + ":", prop in this); </mx:creationComplete> Will trace: pub: true prot: false priv: false bad: false When I want to see: pub: true prot: true priv: true bad: false

  • Find all possible starting positions of a regular expression match in perl, including overlapping matches?

    - by jonderry
    Is there a way to find all possible start positions for a regex match in perl? For example, if your regex was "aa" and the text was "aaaa", it would return 0, 1, and 2, instead of, say 0 and 2. Obviously, you could just do something like return the first match, and then delete all characters up to and including that starting character, and perform another search, but I'm hoping for something more efficient.

  • May be an IE z-index bug?

    - by baikaishiuc
    Below is my code. when open the page in ie browser, then select the text in div, the text will be replaced by some shadow quad blank . If you delete a line z-index:0, in css class test1, the ie will perform correctly. In my project , the z-index must be set greater than zero, so I couldn't delete the line. I found a solution is to set bg_img.filter = "" when pannel.z-index greater than 0, then ie will also working good. But unfortunately, the bg_img.filter.alpha must be set, too. So how could I do? test .test1 { position:absolute; background:#ffffff; left:20px; top:20px; border:1px solid; width:198px; height:500px; filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Shadow(color="#999999", Direction=135, Strength=5); z-index:0; }

  • Need help with text animation within UITableViewCell

    - by gdiphone
    I'm trying to implement a simple text animation in a custom UITableViewCell without having to go into editing mode which automatically brings up the delete button on the right. What I'm trying to accomplish is that when the label is updated by a button within the UITableviewcell, the text in the label is updated but with some smooth animation like sliding to the right since the updated text is prepended to the string. Any sample code would be great. thanks

  • jquery - clone nth row of a table?

    - by John
    I'm trying to use jquery to clone a table row everytime someone presses the add-row button. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my code? I'm using HTML + smarty templating language in my view. Here's what my template file looks like:

Description

Unit

Qty

Total

{foreach from=$arrItem item=i name=inv}

delete

{/foreach}

Here's my Jquery Javascript call, which I know gets fired when I put in an alert() statement. So the problem is with me not knowing how jquery works. $('#add-row').live('click', function() {$('#entries tr:nth-child(0)').clone().appendTo('#entries');}); So what am I doing wrong?

  • Deleting document attachments in CouchDb

    - by henrik_lundgren
    In CouchDb's documentation, the described method of deleting document attachments is to send a DELETE call to the attachment's url. However, I have noticed that if you edit the document and remove the attachment stub from the _attachment field, it will not be accessible anymore. If i remove foo.txt from the document below and save to CouchDb it will be gone the next time I access the document: { "_id":"attachment_doc", "_rev":1589456116, "_attachments": { "foo.txt": { "stub":true, "content_type":"text/plain", "length":29 } } } Is the attachment actually deleted on disk or is just the reference to it deleted?

  • In String.replace("\c","") what ASCII value is ""?

    - by Tom
    Hi, im just writing my own replace method for any weird characters and i used the ASCI value 0, null to replace unwanted characters, i was hoping for them to be 'deleted', but this doesnt work. A gap just appears in the string. What exactly does String.Replace() do when removing a character for ""? Does it shift them all down and then 'delete' the final character or something?

  • [Grails] HibernateException: No session currently bound to execution context

    - by user289206
    I'm trying to create a very basic REST-ish web service with Grails and Postgres. I have the read() & delete() methods working, but I can't get create() to work. Hibernate just gripes, "HibernateException: No session currently bound to execution context." Here's my create method: def create = { def member = new Member(params) member.save() render(status: 201) } Any advice would be great. Thanks.

  • How to retrieve all keys (or values) from a std::map?

    - by Owen
    This is one of the possible ways I come out: struct RetrieveKey { template <typename T> typename T::first_type operator()(T keyValuePair) const { return keyValuePair.first; } }; map<int, int> m; vector<int> keys; // Retrieve all keys transform(m.begin(), m.end(), back_inserter(keys), RetrieveKey()); // Dump all keys copy(keys.begin(), keys.end(), ostream_iterator<int>(cout, "\n")); Of course, we can also retrieve all values from the map by defining another functor RetrieveValues. Is there any other way to achieve this easily? (I'm always wondering why std::map does not include a member function for us to do so.)

  • Remove an empty directory from a ZIP file with PHP

    - by desolat
    PHP brings a class for ZIP file manipulation. It also allows the creation of directories with addEmptyDir() and the deletion of an entry with deleteName(). But the deletion does not work on directories (empty or not). Is there any way to delete empty folders in a ZIP file (prefered is buildin PHP functionality)?
