  • HTTPS and FormAssembly

    - by Mark
We are using a FormAssembly page to collect feedback - it's hosted within an IFrame on the side of our site's master page. The thing is, that some parts of our site are HTTPS - viewing and posting the form is ok in HTTPS, but the problem comes with the "thank you" page - we are using the configurable custom thank you page (configured within FormAssembly iteself). Is there are way we can send the desired response page up (perhaps via a hidden field within the posted form?) - this way we can send the HTTPS link for the HTTPS version of the form and the normal HTTP link for the HTTP form? Thanks!

  • Bad event on java panel

    - by LucaB
Hi I have a java panel with 4 buttons. When I click on of these buttons, a new frame appears and the first is hidden with setVisibile(false). On that new window, I have another button, but when i click it, I got the event corresponding to the fourth button of the first window. Clicking the button again does the trick, but of course this is not acceptable. Am I missing something? I just show the frames with nameOfTheFrame.setVisible(true); and I have MouseListeners on every button. The code of the last button is simply: System.exit(0); EDIT Sample code: private void btn_joinGamePressed(java.awt.event.MouseEvent evt) { GraphicsTools.getInstance().getCreateGame().setVisible(false); GraphicsTools.getInstance().getMainPanel().setVisible(false); GraphicsTools.getInstance().getRegistration().setVisible(true); } GraphicsTools is a Singleton.

  • Spawning Process Never Finishes on ASP.NET Page

    - by Nissan Fan
The code below spawns the process and sits forever, never finishing. It doesn't matter what process I run. If I use delegates it doesn't work either. It just hangs up in my dev and on the test enviornment. Also, if I use Shell with Wait it does the same thing. If I set wait to false in either approach it works just fine. It's ASP.NET 2.0 VB.NET DotNetNuke 4.0 on Windows Server 2003. I can't even phathom why this would hang up. UPDATE: It causes the CPU to throttle up but it's not running anything. It's like there's something weird going on in the threading. From: http://www.freevbcode.com/ShowCode.asp?ID=5879 Public Sub ShellandWait(ByVal ProcessPath As String) Dim objProcess As System.Diagnostics.Process objProcess = New System.Diagnostics.Process() objProcess.StartInfo.FileName = ProcessPath objProcess.StartInfo.WindowStyle = ProcessWindowStyle.Hidden objProcess.Start() 'Wait until the process passes back an exit code objProcess.WaitForExit() 'Free resources associated with this process objProcess.Close() End Sub

  • Need Magic jQuery Replacement for Selectbox Dropdown Form Element. Thank you!

    - by PlasmaFlux
Hello! I'm stuck on a problem and, after what seems like days of searching for a solution, I'm reaching out to Stack Overflow for help. I'm trying to replace a standard dropdown form element with a Textbox and a Div containing an unordered list. I'd prefer to have the solution be based on jQuery, but am open to alternatives. I've found a couple jQuery plugins that -almost- do what I need, but are far enough from being a real solution that I need to keep looking. Here's an image of what I'm going for: I'd like the dropdown to look as pictured, and when an element is selected (with mouse or keyboard), have just the first line handed back into the textbox (and not be editable). I'd also like to populate a hidden input field with a value that will be used on Submit. I'm pulling my hair out over this one. Any help and guidance will be most appreciated! Thanks! ~PF

  • Custom HTTP Request headers in HTML

    - by matsko
Does anyone know if its possible to send out custom http REQUEST headers in HTML without having to use javascript (no xhr wrapper). Would it be possible to define them as meta tags within the head? Or may they be defined in the form somewhere? <meta http-equip="x-something-custom" name="custom value" /> this works, however, this is a RESPONSE header. What I need to set a REQUEST header. I'm not looking for setting hidden fields in forms, but actual raw http header manipulation with html tags. Is this possible?

  • ASP.NET MVC - How to save some data between requests ?

    - by Tony
Hi, I'm trying to solve the problem: when a user is being logged into a WebSite (via user control .ascx stored on the Master Page), it's name is being stored in a Page.User.Identity.Name property. OK, but how to retrieve that user name in the controller ? Is it possible without registering System.Security.Principal namespace in the controller ? In the other words - the controller must know whose user wants to do some action (e.g. change account data). I could store it's name in the Html.Hidden control on each View but I don't want to have a mess in my Views

  • More HtAccess Rewrite Rules

    - by pws5068
Greetings all, I need help combining some htaccess rewrites, these crazy regular expressions screw with my head. So I have a folder structure something like this: /www/mysite.com/page/member/friends.php /www/mysite.com/page/video/videos.php /www/mysite.com/page/messages/inbox.php The URLs get rewritten to this: mysite.com/member/friends.php mysite.com/video/videos.php mysite.com/messages/inbox.php (Notice the /page/ folder is hidden in the url, but I keep it on the server for better file organization) The rewrite rules look something like this: (I'm new so correct me if they are flawed) RewriteRule ^video/(.*)$ /page/video/$1 [NC] RewriteRule ^member/(.*)$ /page/member/$1 [NC] RewriteRule ^messages/(.*)$ /page/messages/$1 [NC] Now, I also need to do a completely different rewrite to a file called lobby.php inside of the member folder: After the original rewrites, a sample url looks like: mysite.com/member/lobby.php?member=pws5068 I need a new rewrite to make it look like this: mysite.com/pws5068 Thank you for bearing with my super-long question here. How can I make this happen?

  • How to initialize an std::string using ""?

    - by Mohsin
I'm facing problems with initializing a std::string variable using "" (i.e. an empty string). It's causing strange behavior in code that was previously working. Is the following statement wrong? std::string operationalReason = ""; When I use the following code everything works fine: std::string operationalReason; operationalReason.clear(); I believe that string literals are stored in a separate memory location that is compiler-dependent. Could the problem I'm seeing actually be indicating a corruption of that storage? If so, it would get hidden by my usage of the clear() function. Thanks.

  • validates_uniqueness_of...limiting scope - How do I restrict someone from creating a certain number

    - by bgadoci
I have the following code: class Like < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :site validates_uniqueness_of :ip_address, :scope => [:site_id] end Which limits a person from "liking" a site more than one time based on a remote ip request. Essentially when someone "likes" a site, a record is created in the Likes table and I use a hidden field to request and pass their ip address to the :ip_address column in the like table. With the above code I am limiting the user to one "like" per their ip address. I would like to limit this to a certain number for instance 10. My initial thought was do something like this: validates_uniqueness_of :ip_address, :scope => [:site_id, :limit => 10] But that doesn't seem to work. Is there a simple syntax here that will allow me to do such a thing?

  • What JS framework offers scroll functionality (+animation) in a div without a scrollbar?

    - by montooner
All: I want to scroll through a sequence of tumblr/twitter posts as a long sequence of texts. Let's say we have: <div id="mainContent"> _some content_ </div> where the css for mainContent is: #mainContent { padding: 20px 20px; background: #FFF; height:500px; overflow:hidden; } I really like the functionality of Scrollable jQuery, but they require pagination and an array of elements. I'm looking for tips in any of these categories: a js framework I can use to achieve this a solution to paginating the text

  • jQuery not refreshing tabs content in IE

    - by iddimu
Hi all! I have a page that is using jQuery tabs. Within one of my tabs I have a div that contains a form (initially hidden) that I want to use to add content to the tab. What I have works perfectly in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. But, in IE 7 the tab will not refresh. The post works and the data gets added to the database, but it simply will not show the new content after submitting it. I don't think it matters - but, just for information I am using the Codeigniter PHP framework as well. Here is my javascript: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ // initialize the addChild form as hidden until user requests it open $('#addChild').hide(); // open the form $('#openDialog').click( function(){ $('#addChild').slideToggle(); return false; }); // close the form $('#closeDialog').click( function(){ $('#addChild').slideToggle(); return false; }); // submit the form $('#frmAddChild').submit( function(){ $('#addChild').slideToggle(); $.ajax({ url: '/children/add', type: 'POST', data: $('#frmAddChild').serialize() //cache: false }); //reload the children tab $('#tabs').tabs('load',3); return false; }); }); </script> And, here is my PHP/HTML: <?php // initialize the elements of the form $frmAddChild = array( 'name' => 'frmAddChild', 'id' => 'frmAddChild', 'method' => 'post' ); $child_name = array( 'name' => 'child_name', 'id' => 'child_name', ); $child_dob = array( 'name' => 'child_dob', 'id' => 'child_dob' ); $btnOpenDialog = array( 'name' => 'openDialog', 'id' => 'openDialog', 'value' => 'true', 'content' => 'Add Child' ); $btnCloseDialog = array( 'name' => 'closeDialog', 'id' => 'closeDialog', 'value' => 'true', 'content' => 'Cancel' ); // button that shows the drop down to add echo form_button($btnOpenDialog); ?> <div id="addChild" title="Add Child"> <?php echo form_open('children/add/',$frmAddChild); ?> <table> <tr> <td> <?php echo form_label('Child\'s Name', 'child_name'); ?>: </td> <td> <?php echo form_input($child_name); ?> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <?php echo form_label('Date of Birth','child_dob'); ?>: </td> <td> <?php echo form_input($child_dob); ?> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2" align="right"> <?php echo form_submit('submit', 'Add'); ?> <?php echo form_button($btnCloseDialog); ?> </td> </tr> </table> <?php echo form_close(); ?> </div> Does anyone have any ideas how I can get this working correctly in IE? Also, if anyone has any comments about how I have things structured, please let me know. I'm new to Codeigniter and I am by no means a javascript or jQuery expert. Thanks for your help!

  • jquery - strange behavior in IE..

    - by stackoverflow
I have an input field where name='id' <input type='hidden' name="id" /> While jquery lib works fine in Chrome, it fails in IE. It works when I change from id to idfield - but our server code breaks since it expects the form with element key id. Is there a work around for this? PS: I cannot change the server code. jquery version 1.3.2 using dynamic forms $(document).ready(function(){ $("#formRow").dynamicForm("#plus3", "#minus3", {limit:100, createColor:'yellow',removeColor: 'red' }); }); Happens when the Add row button is clicked

  • Prototype mouseleave for two elements

    - by TenJack
I have created a small navigation element that is positioned right on top of another element. It is only shown when a user mousenters/mouseovers the main element. I am having some trouble with the prototype. I would like this small nav element to be hidden when a user mouses out of the main box, but I would also like the small nav element to remain visible if a user mouses out of the main box but mouses into the small nav at the same time. This is my attempt so far with some pseudo-code to hopefully explain: $('main_box').observe('mouseenter', function(){ $('small_div').show() }) $('main_box').observe('mouseleave', function(){ if this element is $('small_div') then Event.stop() $('small_div').observe('mouseleave', function(){ if this element is $('main_box') Event.stop observe $('main_box') mouseleave else $('small_div').hide(); }) else $('small_div').hide(); }) The main thing I'm having trouble with is figuring out what element the mouse is over at a given point in time. Is there a way to do something like: on mouseleave do blah unless the mouse is over a specific element then do not do blah?

  • Implementing a 'Send Feedback' feature in a Java desktop application

    - by William
I would like to implement a 'Send Feedback' option in a Java desktop application. One which will pop up a box for the user to enter a comment, then send it to us along with a screenshot of the application window. How would be the best way to communicate the data to us? Two obvious solutions spring to mind: Email - I'm thinking that the application would connect to an SMTP server set-up by us, with the username/password somehow hidden in the code. SMTP over SSL for security (not of the data being sent, but of the SMTP username/password). Web service - pretty self explanatory. Which of these would be best, or is there a better alternative?

  • Cocoa accessibility API, can I click a window in the background without activating it?

    - by Winawer
I've been searching forever for a solution to this, so I thought I'd seek out the brainpower of greater minds than mine. I'm developing a Cocoa app that uses the Accessibility API to manipulate another program (it's a hotkey app). The app I'm controlling typically has multiple windows open, with some hidden behind others. What I would like to do, if it's possible, is to send mouse events to windows using the Accessibility API in a way that presses a button in the window without bringing it to the foreground (interact with the window but don't activate it). The reason I'm trying to do this is that sending the mouse event to this other window will force it to the foreground and disrupt the user's interaction with the foremost window. This is possible on Windows - apparently, because apps similar to mine do it there - but I'm getting the feeling that this isn't possible with Cocoa, given the way the window manager works. Am I mistaken?

  • Need help getting DIV inside DIV to stretch to width of contents in Firefox

    - by bj.
I am using a layout similar to the one from Dynamic Drive here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/layouts/item/css-right-frame-layout/ The main content area (white) has overflow set to auto. I have given the innerTube inside this main content area a border. However if the contents within this innerTube are greater than the width of the main content area, a horizontal scroll bar will appear as expected, but in Firefox these contents will 'overlap' the border and go off screen (can be retrieved by scrolling horizontally). In other words, the right hand border remains in place, and the content just goes over the op of it, and disappears behind the right hand column. In IE it behaves exactly as I want - the content pushes the border off screen to be visible only once you scroll over there. I guess the easiest thing is to paste the source code here. If you copy it into a blank file you'll see what I mean. I've just used one really long word to replicate what happens if a wide image is there instead. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out. <!--Force IE6 into quirks mode with this comment tag--> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" lang="en" xml:lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /> <style type="text/css"> body{ margin: 0; padding: 0; border: 0; overflow: hidden; height: 100%; max-height: 100%; } #framecontent{ position: absolute; top: 0; bottom: 0; right: 0; width: 200px; /*Width of frame div*/ height: 100%; overflow: hidden; /*Disable scrollbars. • Prevent Jcarousel from resetting to beginning position on page postback?

    - by lbholland
I have a nice looking jarousel running from an asp:listview element, with asp:imagebuttons for the images. When clicked, the images in the carousel send the image id to querystring, and the new page is loaded with a larger version of the image and some asp:labels are filled in to describe the image. It looks and works great, except once the page reloads the jcarousel resets to original position, which is confusing to the user. What's the best way to prevent this? I tried using an UpdatePanel but couldn't figure out how to pass the querystring variable with the partial page update. I could pass the variable in a hidden field, but this wouldn't be very SEO friendly.

  • When a li is appended, does it not become a part of the ul "for real"?

    - by Noor
I have right now this code: <ul><li class="listitem">text<li></ul> jQuery: $('.listitem').click(function() { $("#elname").text($(this).text()); $('#slists').css('visibility','hidden') $('#elname').css('visibility','visible') $('#elname').css('display','inline-block') }); This is supposed to hide a div and it does, but when I append items to the ul (with the class listitem) nothing happens with the appended item, the class it gets is correct, the title, and the value too. Can this have something to do with the code above being in the document ready function to do?

  • Why doesn't Request.IsAjaxRequest() work in ASP.NET MVC 3?

    - by Rob Ellis
I'm creating a new project, asp.net mvc3 with Razor, and wanting to turn the LogOn into an ajax request. HTML @using (Ajax.BeginForm("LogOn", "Account", new AjaxOptions { HttpMethod="post", OnSuccess="LoginSubmitted"})) { } Controller if (Request.IsAjaxRequest()) { return Json(new { ResultMessage = "Username or password provided is incorrect"}); } else { ModelState.AddModelError("", "The user name or password provided is incorrect."); } Everything else remains the same. First, looking at the the http response with Fiddler, I notice there is no x-requested-with header. So I add <input type="hidden" name="X-Requested-With" value="XMLHttpRequest" /> That seems to work, but now what I receive back is a Json object, which isn't being parsed and instead Google Chrome is just rendering the Json to screen. Whats happening?

  • Should I convert overlong UTF-8 strings to their shortest normal form?

    - by Grant McLean
I've just been reworking my Encoding::FixLatin Perl module to handle overlong UTF-8 byte sequences and convert them to the shortest normal form. My question is quite simply "is this a bad idea"? A number of sources (including this RFC) suggest that any over-long UTF-8 should be treated as an error and rejected. They caution against "naive implementations" and leave me with the impression that these things are inherently unsafe. Since the whole purpose of my module is to clean up messy data files with mixed encodings and convert them to nice clean utf8, this seems like just one more thing I can clean up so the application layer doesn't have to deal with it. My code does not concern itself with any semantic meaning the resulting characters might have, it simply converts them into a normalised form. Am I missing something. Is there a hidden danger I haven't considered?
