  • GWT complex app, many screens. Architecture?

    I'm making a GWT application which will have many screens. There will be a menu on the left and clicking a menu option will open the relevant module in the right side content area. Clicking on items in the content area will link to other modules that open in the same content area. How do I implement this architecture? How do I pass objects between the different content modules? How do I isolate each module into its own package? Can all of these be within the same Eclipse project? Anything else that should be considered?

  • Heading div images should be displayed at a lower depth

    I have a webpage where the top 25% of the page is the heading(with images in it) & the rest of the page has the content. I am trying to get the heading div to display is pictures at a lower depth as the content div because currently the heading images overflow into the content div(intentionally) & when they do they mess up the positioning of the HTML elements in the content div. My code below should make the heading div display below the content div but it doesn't. Can you help me figure out why & how to fix it? This doesn't work for any of the UDP trackers I've found, any ideas why I'm not getting a response? Did they maybe change the protocol and not tell anyone? HTTP trackers all work fine. Trackers I've tried udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80 udp://tracker.ccc.de:80 udp://tracker.istole.it:80 Also, I'm not interested in using MonoTorrent(and when I was using it, the UDP didn't work anyways).   • HTML: adjusting the font size according to the screen size

    I am building an intranet website that is intended to be seen by mobile phones using one of the following resolutions: 240x320, 320x240, 360x640 and 800x352. All content is to be seen covering the full screen. No scroll should be necessary. I have developed, initially for 360x640. When this content is seen on 240x320 or 320x240 the letter is too big and the user has to scroll to see all content. Is there any way to scale the letters down or up automatically, so the content will fit on every screen size? I mean, adjusting the text font size according to the current screen resolution? thanks for any help.

I'm trying to get my head around RewriteCond, and want to rewrite any requests either to a static html page (if it exists), or to a specific index.php (so long as the requested file doesn't exist). To illustrate the logic: if HTTP_HOST is '(www\.)?mydomain.com' if file exists: "/default/static/{REQUEST_URI}.html", then rewrite .* to /default/static/{REQUEST_URI}.html else if file exists: {REQUEST_FILENAME}, then do not rewrite else rewrite .* to /default/index.php I don't seem to have much trouble doing it when I don't need to test for the HTTP_HOST. Ultimately, this one .htaccess file will be handling requests for several domains. I know I could get around this with vhosts, but I'd like to figure out how to do it this way. Here's where I am at now: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?mydomain\.com$ [NC] RewriteCond /default/static/%{REQUEST_URI}.html -f RewriteRule . /default/static/%{REQUEST_URI}.html [L,NC] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule . /default/index.php [L,QSA] I'm not too familiar with some of the other flags, will any of them be of use here (like chain|C, next|N or skip|S)?     Hi all, I've built a web site using jquery to make nice transitions between content. The code works this way: there are 2 imgs (body and footer) when I click on a link (instead of going to another page) I fade out the 2 imgs and change the src attribute of the 2. When the new imgs are loaded I fade them back in. I'm using SWFaddress to allow user go directly to internal content. Now I'd like to make my content indexed by google and other Search engines, all the text content is inside the imgs, So I've got the text in ALT attribute. My question is: if a dinamically change the imgs ALT attribute using JS, will spiders be able to read it properly? consider that I'm using SWFaddress to create a sitemap.. Thanks

    Hi all, What I want to do is render a SSRS 2008 report as HTML (actually MHTML) and send that as the body in an email. Has anyone done this? I've almost got it (I think) but I seem to have a encoding problem. The email shows up as what looks like some sort of base64 encoding. The issue that I have is that I don't understand what is the boundary, where do I get it from (because it doesn't appear in the html document that generates the POST and how should I make the post . If you would give me a simple example to post the above parameters to http://example.com I will definitely get the trick . Directly set the label's Content property won't work, it just simply clear the binding.

    I'm using django and realized that when the filename that the user wants to access (let's say a photo) has the pound sign, the entry in the url.py does not match. Any ideas? url(r'^static/(?P<path>.*)$', 'django.views.static.serve', {'document_root': MEDIA_ROOT}, it just says: "/home/user/project/static/upload/images/hello" does not exist when actually the name of the file is: hello#world.jpg Thanks, Nico

    I need to import jpeg images into a WP7/XNA app with associated metadata. The program which manages these images exports to an XML file with an encoded byte[] of the jpg files. I've written a custom importer/processor which successfully imports the reserialized objects into my XNA project.     Hi all, I have a client-server application and i am using swing in the client side. My swing client has one main window (jframe) and lots of panels, toolbars and menubar in it. I want to remove all client action/mouse events (or simply grab and do nothing) while client is waiting response from server by means of glasssPane. Are adding operator overloads via extension methods possible? If so, what's the proper way to go about it?
