  • Sending a JSON object to an ASP.NET web service using JQUERY ajax function

    I want to create object on the client side of aspx page. And i want to add functions to these javascript classes to make easier the life. Actually i can get and use the objects (derived from the server side classes) which returns from the services. When i wanted to send objects from the client by jquery ajax methods, i couldn't do it :) This is my javascript object: function ClassAndMark(_mark, _lesson){ this.Lesson = _lesson; this.Mark = _mark; } function Student(_name, _surname, _classAndMark){ this.Name = _name; this.SurName = _surname; this.ClassAndMark = _classAndMark; } JSClass.prototype.fSaveToDB(){ $.ajax({ type: "POST", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", url: "/WS/SaveObject.asmx/fSaveToDB"), data: ????????????, dataType: "json" }); } Actually i don't know what should be definition of classes and methods on the Server side but i think: class ClassAndMark{ public string Lesson ; public string Mark ; } class Student{ public string Name ; public string SurName ; public ClassAndMark ClassAndMark ; } Web service is below but again i couldn't get what should be instead of the ???? : [WebMethod()] public void fSaveToDB(???? _obj) { // How can i convert input parameter/parameters // of method in the server side object? }

  • Android - Get Notified when a new access point is added?

    I was wondering is it possible to get a notification of when a new configured network is added to the WifiManager in Android? I know you can get the current list of configured networks getConfiguredNetworks But is it possible to get notification of when a new one is added? I dont see anything in the WifiManager that would be helpful. Has anyone any other ideas? Or insight into how this could be achieved?

    Hello everybody, I want to take a photo with an Intent on android.provider.MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE, next crop the result with: Intent intent = new Intent("com.android.camera.action.CROP"); intent.setClassName("com.android.camera", "com.android.camera.CropImage"); I follow the sugestions made at: Android: Crop an Image after Taking it With Camera with a Fixed Aspect Ratio However when calling the crop activity I get (already checked the LogCat output) a permission error, saying something like: Permission denial on a Intent to access the temporary image created by the camera activity on my SDcard. Can you please suggest a solution for Android 2.2 ? Thank you

    Our care management system uses a web service to import data. I've successfully executed one of its methods using soapUI, and now I want to replicate this with an SSIS 2008 web service task, but I'm running into a problem. I've created the "HTTP Connection Manager" successfully, and specified the location of the "WSDLFile", but when I go to the Input tab and select the Service from the dropdown (there is only one), I get an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error, and and the Method dropdown is empty. Any idea what this is trying to tell me?

  • How to read an xs:any response using CXF Generated Client?

    Hi, When consuming a webserice with CXF 2.1.4 (the generated client) I am having problem getting the response based on the following XSD snippet in the WSDL. CXF Generates a List representing it, but when I execute the service, the response comes null. I used wireshark to what I was reciving and indeed the response XMl is coming as expected, but CXF just give me null object. Below the XSD of the response object.   • Replace existing XML file within iPhone app

    Hey, I have an .xml file that is going to be shipped within my app. This file contains values that are read from it and saved as an array when the app launches. Each time the app is run, I want to check with the server if there is an internet connection. If so, I want to get the newest version of the .xml file from the server and replace the one that I currently have saved in my app (this way, the next time the user logs in and doesn't have internet access, he/she will be able to use the old (yet most up to date) data). What is the best way to do this? Thanks,

  • Web Reference Code generator template.

    I Have an internal SOAP Web service that is being called from an external REST service in .NET it works fine however I am simply passing through the SOAP objects of the REST Layer but the automatic generation of the WebReference Code in Visual Studio adds the 'field' to the end of every attribute. basically it makes my XML look all nasty. Everything works I just want to clean up my XML. Any ideas how i can change the template for the reference.cs or to make the XML generate nicely from the Web Service Objects.   • I'm getting a ServerException when I try to send objects from a BlackBerry to a Server via a webserv

    I'm trying to send an array of objects wrapped in an array object wrapper to a WS via JSR172 WS calls. Using the generated stub, I'm able to download objects from the server, but I'm not able to upload objects to the server. This currently happens on all simulators in house. This is all the information I can get out of the server exception: javax.xml.rpc.JAXRPCException: java.rmi.ServerException: Server cannot handle the message because of some temporary condition. Here are the server specs: Windows 7 IIS 7 or 7.5 .NET 3.5 for the WS code written in C#. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, or knows where to look, I'd love to know. Thanks!

  • unexpected behaviour of object stored in web service Session

    Hi. I'm using Session variables inside a web service to maintain state between successive method calls by an external application called QBWC. I set this up by decorating my web service methods with this attribute: [WebMethod(EnableSession = true)] I'm using the Session variable to store an instance of a custom object called QueueManager. The QueueManager has a property called ChangeQueue which looks like this: [Serializable] public class QueueManager { ... public Queue<QBChange> ChangeQueue { get; set; } ... where QBChange is a custom business object belonging to my web service. Now, every time I get a call to a method in my web service, I use this code to retrieve my QueueManager object and access my queue: QueueManager qm = (QueueManager)Session[ticket]; then I remove an object from the queue, using qm.dequeue() and then I save the modified query manager object (modified because it contains one less object in the queue) back to the Session variable, like so: Session[ticket] = qm; ready for the next web service method call using the same ticket. Now here's the thing: if I comment out this last line //Session[ticket] = qm; , then the web service behaves exactly the same way, reducing the size of the queue between method calls. Now why is that? The web service seems to be updating a class contained in serialized form in a Session variable without being asked to. Why would it do that? When I deserialize my Queuemanager object, does the qm variable hold a reference to the serialized object inside the Session[ticket] variable?? This seems very unlikely.

  • web service and its configuration file

    I implemented one service and it has several configuration item, such as data type, next node, blablabla. What I want to do is to deploy the service and configuration file into tomcat within one .aar. However, if I jar the service and configuration file into the aar. The service can't read the file though the file is there in the same directory. Even I put the file into tomcat_home\bin, the service fails to read the file. I know it should work. Can anybody give me a hint? Thanks.

  • Update Web Reference in Visual Studio

    Hi, I have inherited a web site project that makes use of a number of WCF Web Services hosted on a BizTalk server. We have two environments that I need to deploy this project to, with different URLs for the different BizTalk servers. i.e. In the Staging environment, I need to point the services at xx.xx.xx.101 In the Live environment, I need to point them at xx.xx.xx.102, or whatever. Currently, we've got all of the URLs stored in keys in the web.config file, so that we can change them dynamically... Unfortunately this isn't working! If I change the URL in the web.config to something other than what the project was compiled with, I get an error when calling the service: Server did not recognize the value of HTTP Header SOAPAction: xx.xx.xx.101\ServiceName\MethodName I'm told that the only way they've known to deploy this is to update the web.config URLs, change all of the web references in Visual Studio to match, click on "update web reference" for each reference in Visual Studio, and then compile. It's driving me mad! I've written a pre-build NAnt script to go through and replace all instances of the URL found anywhere in the project directory, and even that isn't making any difference. There must be something else being pulled down from the service when I click the "update reference", but I'm new to working with web services, and so I'm not sure what. Does anyone have any ideas? Is there a way to do this programatically? Thanks.
