• How do I add the j2ee.jar to a Java2WSDL ant script programmatically?

  I am using IBM's Rational Application Developer. I have an ant script that contains the Java2WSDL task. When I run it via IBM, it gives compiler errors unless I include the j2ee.jar file in the classpath via the run tool (it does not pick up the jar files in the classpath in the script). However, I need to be able to call this script programmatically, and it is giving me this error: "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org.eclipse.core.runtime.CoreException" I'm not sure which jars need to be added or where? Since a simple echo script runs, I assume that it is the j2ee.jar or another ant jar that needs to be added. I've added it to the project's buildpath, but that doesn't help. (I also have ant.jar, wsanttasks.jar, all the ant jars from the plugin, tools.jar, remoteAnt.jar, and the swt - all which are included in the buildpath when you run the script by itself.) • Optimal UI For Single Zip Code Entry on iPhone

  I need to prompt the user to enter his/her zip code at certain times in my iPhone application. I cannot store it or get it from the user's current location. What is the optimal input method? I started with a 5 wheel picker. This seemed like a bad direction, so I opted for a PIN-like entry screen. My implepentation is about the same as the 'enter passcode' screen you see when unlocking the iphone - including automatically ending input on the 5th digit instead of providing a return/enter button. Does this seem optimal? Or is there a better way? Note: I only need to accept a 5 digit US zip code.

  There should be a standard for saving viewing bunches of webpages as a website. For instance, say I have a whole bunch of pages, such as I get from the WordPress plugin "Really Static" which saves an entire site, and I have all the links start with a slash. Now, I can't really use those links if I am reading it from the file system. If there would be a standard where we could zip up files, give them a unique extension (like "hzip" for html zip), and open the file with any browser, which would display it as though the root of that file were the root of the pages. "http://example.com" The links would all work right. This would facilitate sharing and copying groups of webpages.

  Hello, everyone! I have a project (related to graph algorithms). It is written by someone else. The code is horrible: public fields, no getters/setters huge methods, all public some classes have over 20 fields some classes have over 5 constructors (which are also huge) some of those constructors just left many fields null (so I can't make some fields final, because then every second constructor signals errors) methods and classes rely on each other in both directions I have to rewrite this into a clean and understandable API. Problem is: I myself don't understand anything in this code. Please give me hints on analyzing and understanding such code. I was thinking, perhaps, there are tools which perform static code analysis and give me call graphs and things like this.

  Hello, everyone! As far as I know, things such as SortedMap or SortedSet, use compareTo (rather than equals) on Comparable<?> types for checking equality (contains, containsKey). But what if certain types are equatable by concept, but not comparable? I have to declare a Comparator<?> and override the method int compareTo(T o1, To2). OK, I can return 0 for instances which are considered equal. But, for unqeual instances, what do I return when an order is not evident? Is the approach of using SortedMap or SortedSet on equatable but (by concept) not comparable types good anyway? Thank you! EDIT: I don't want to store things sorted, but would I use "usual" Map and Set, I couldn't "override" the equality-behavior. EDIT 2: Why I can't just override equals(...): I need to alter the equality-behavior of a foreign class. Can't edit it. EDIT 3: Just think of .NET: They have IEquatable interface which cat alter the equality-behavior without touching the comparable behavior.

  I'm validating the installation of a program that consists of a few separate modules. They are not co-dependent. I have apple.jar and orange.jar, they are placed in the same folder and were developed in the same project, but run independent of each other.   I think there should be a standard for saving and viewing bunches of webpages as a website. For instance, say I have a whole bunch of pages, such as I get from the WordPress plugin "Really Static" (which saves the entire site), and I have all the links start with a slash (to make linking to supporting files easier). Now, I can't really use those links if I am reading it from the file system. If there would be a standard where we could zip up files, give them a unique extension (like "hzip" for html zip), and open the file with any browser, which would display it as though the root of that file were the root of the pages. "file://examplefile.hzip/" The links would then all work. This would really help sharing and copying groups of webpages. Is this a good idea? A bad one? What do you think?

I've search a lot with no luck. My idea is to preview zip files from the dropbox using its API but i dont want to save the files to a local drive, just preview the content. Any idea if that's possible with php? Almost everything i found is about creating the file, not reading it... :-\ I was thinking that i might try with nodejs, but i know mostly nothing about nodejs, do you think it would support it?   Hi, This is probably a stupid question, but how do I run a class file on windows 7? I usually create my own .java files and then use a basic IDE (with JDK6) to compile it to a class and run it automatically. My professor gave a .class file that we are supposed to play with extensively but I have no idea how to to run it here. Note that I cannot run it by typing: java classname.class because it contains gui stuff especially buttons and such. • Extract archive here, autodetect subfolder

  I use 7-Zip under Windows 7 to extract all kind of archives. The ever-running problem is that there is not a single way to handle subfolders. Some people create their archives like this (let's call it type A): . +-- subfolder ¦   +-- file 1 ¦   +-- file 2 ¦   +-- ... "Extract Here" will extract everything to subfolder/, which is fine; "Extract to <Folder>" will create an extra subfolder level, which is annoying. And other people create them like that (let's call it type B): . +-- file1 +-- file 2 +-- ... "Extract Here" will populate the current folder, which can bring a lot of mess if this folder already contains tons of other files, and which is very annoying; "Extract to <Folder>" will create a subfolder and conveniently stuff it with the archive content, which is fine. So this leaves two options: always choose to "Extract to <Folder>" and live with the extra subfolder for type A archives. Or open the archive before extracting it to check if this is a type A or B, and then appropriately select "Extract Here" or "Extract to <Folder>". I usually do the latter, but I just discovered that KDE is offering a very handy Extract Archive Here, Autodetect Subfolder feature that automates that. It'll "Extract Here" if there's only one subfolder in the archive, otherwise it'll "Extract to <Folder>". I love this idea. Is there a Windows 7 tool offering this option? Preferably integrated in the explorer context menu? Maybe it's hidden somewhere in 7-Zip and I just didn't find it?
