  • Changing JTextArea to JScrollPane Causes it to not be visible

    - by user1806716
    I am having an issue with JScrollPanes and JTextArea objects and getting them to work together. If I just add a JTextArea to my JPanel, it works fine and shows up where I tell it to. However, if I change the contentPane.add(textArea) to contentPane.add(new JScrollPane(textArea)), the textArea is not longer visible and there is no sign of the textarea either. Here is my code: public docToolGUI() { setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); setBounds(100, 100, 611, 487); contentPane = new JPanel(); contentPane.setBorder(new EmptyBorder(5, 5, 5, 5)); setContentPane(contentPane); contentPane.setLayout(null); textField = new JTextField(); textField.setBounds(253, 323, 86, 20); contentPane.add(textField); textField.setColumns(10); JLabel lblEnterRootDirectory = new JLabel("Enter Root Directory"); lblEnterRootDirectory.setBounds(253, 293, 127, 20); contentPane.add(lblEnterRootDirectory); JButton btnGo = new JButton("Go"); btnGo.addMouseListener(new MouseAdapter() { @Override public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent arg0) { new ToolWorker().execute(); } }); btnGo.setBounds(253, 361, 89, 23); contentPane.add(btnGo); textArea = new JTextArea(); textArea.setWrapStyleWord(true); textArea.setEditable(false); textArea.setBounds(25, 11, 560, 276); contentPane.add(new JScrollPane(textArea)); }

  • List with non-null elements ends up containing null. A synchronization issue?

    - by Alix
    Hi. First of all, sorry about the title -- I couldn't figure out one that was short and clear enough. Here's the issue: I have a list List<MyClass> list to which I always add newly-created instances of MyClass, like this: list.Add(new MyClass()). I don't add elements any other way. However, then I iterate over the list with foreach and find that there are some null entries. That is, the following code: foreach (MyClass entry in list) if (entry == null) throw new Exception("null entry!"); will sometimes throw an exception. I should point out that the list.Add(new MyClass()) are performed from different threads running concurrently. The only thing I can think of to account for the null entries is the concurrent accesses. List<> isn't thread-safe, after all. Though I still find it strange that it ends up containing null entries, instead of just not offering any guarantees on ordering. Can you think of any other reason? Also, I don't care in which order the items are added, and I don't want the calling threads to block waiting to add their items. If synchronization is truly the issue, can you recommend a simple way to call the Add method asynchronously, i.e., create a delegate that takes care of that while my thread keeps running its code? I know I can create a delegate for Add and call BeginInvoke on it. Does that seem appropriate? Thanks.

  • Set JTabbedPane width to constant

    - by msp
    I'm implementing an UI in Java Swing. Therefore I use a JTabbedPane. The tabbedPane has no components at startup. When i add a tab to the tabbedpane, the width of the tabbedpane increases, when i remove the tab, the width resizes to the width at the startup. This should not happen. The tabbedpane is placed on a JPanel which has a gridbag layout. Layout code: Container contentPane = mainFrame.getContentPane(); contentPane.setLayout( new GridBagLayout() ); GridBagConstraints c = new GridBagConstraints(); // add the component tree initComponentTree(); c.gridx = 0; c.gridy = 0; c.gridheight = 1; c.gridwidth = 1; c.fill = GridBagConstraints.BOTH; c.anchor = GridBagConstraints.LINE_START; c.weightx = 1; c.weighty = 1; contentPane.add( componentTree, c ); // add the tabbed pane initTabbedPane(); c.gridx = 1; c.weightx = 10; contentPane.add( tabbedPane, c ); // add the status panel initStatusPanel(); c.gridx = 0; c.gridy = 1; c.gridwidth = 2; c.fill = GridBagConstraints.HORIZONTAL; c.anchor = GridBagConstraints.LINE_START; c.weightx = 0; c.weighty = 0; contentPane.add( statusPanel, c ); Hope someone can help!

  • Prolog Beginner: How to unify with arithmentic cmparison operators or how to get a set var to range

    - by sixtyfootersdude
    I am new to prolog. I need to write an integer adder that will add numbers between 0-9 to other numbers 0-9 and produce a solution 0-18. This is what I want to do: add(in1, in2, out) :- in1 < 10, in2 < 10, out < 18. I would like to be able to call it like this: To Check if it is a valid addition: ?- add(1,2,3). true ?- add(1,2,4). false With one missing variable: ?- add(X,2,3). 1 ?- add(1,4,X). 5 With multiple missing variables: ?-add(X,Y,Z). % Some output that would make sense. Some examples could be: X=1, Y=1, Z=2 ; X=2, Y=1, Z=3 ...... I realize that this is probably a pretty simplistic question and it is probably very straightforward. However cording to the prolog tutorial I am using: "Unlike unification Arithmetic Comparison Operators operators cannot be used to give values to a variable. The can only be evaluated when every term on each side have been instantiated."

  • PGU HTML Renderer can't render most sites

    - by None
    I am trying to make a web browser using pygame. I am using PGU for html rendering. It works fine when I visit simple sites, like example.com, but when I try and load anything more complex that uses an html form, like google, I get this error: UnboundLocalError: local variable 'e' referenced before assignment I looked in the PGU html rendering file and found this code segment: def start_input(self,attrs): r = self.attrs_to_map(attrs) params = self.map_to_params(r) #why bother #params = {} type_,name,value = r.get('type','text'),r.get('name',None),r.get('value',None) f = self.form if type_ == 'text': e = gui.Input(**params) self.map_to_connects(e,r) self.item.add(e) elif type_ == 'radio': if name not in f.groups: f.groups[name] = gui.Group(name=name) g = f.groups[name] del params['name'] e = gui.Radio(group=g,**params) self.map_to_connects(e,r) self.item.add(e) if 'checked' in r: g.value = value elif type_ == 'checkbox': if name not in f.groups: f.groups[name] = gui.Group(name=name) g = f.groups[name] del params['name'] e = gui.Checkbox(group=g,**params) self.map_to_connects(e,r) self.item.add(e) if 'checked' in r: g.value = value elif type_ == 'button': e = gui.Button(**params) self.map_to_connects(e,r) self.item.add(e) elif type_ == 'submit': e = gui.Button(**params) self.map_to_connects(e,r) self.item.add(e) elif type_ == 'file': e = gui.Input(**params) self.map_to_connects(e,r) self.item.add(e) b = gui.Button(value='Browse...') self.item.add(b) def _browse(value): d = gui.FileDialog(); d.connect(gui.CHANGE,gui.action_setvalue,(d,e)) d.open(); b.connect(gui.CLICK,_browse,None) self._locals[r.get('id',None)] = e I got the error in the last line, because e wasn't defined. I am guessing the reason for this is that the if statement that checks the type of the input and creates the e variable didn't match anything. I added a line to print the _type variable and I got 'hidden' when i tried google and apple. Is there any way to render form items that have the type 'hidden' with PGU?

  • EventKitUI view and edit problem!

    - by Alish
    I try to to find a solution to do View and Edit of a the item from a tablview. My application base on UITabBarController. Each of the Bar items contain a class with a a couple of UIViews. This is the first items of UITabBarController. I done Add event from Apple sample code: SimpleEKDemo. Add Event working without any problem. I tried to add View and Edit part to the code. I would able to select an items from tableView to edit the selected item. But after I tried to add code from SimpleEKDemo to my code, I realized I have to add UINavigationController to the implement. So I did. After I add that it's came to the items of UITabBarController. Also I even the Add Event didn't worked very well (I couldn't insert event name and location. but edit was working. So I need to know: 1- Is it possible to implement Edit/View without using UINavigationController. If yes please let me know a sample code. 2- If I must use UINavigationController. Because I don't need UINavigationController to become it the first page and I don't need any bar added to my application. Is it possible it's appear in the application when I choose a item of tableView but appear alike that! Snapshots: https://public.me.com/alish (pict.zip)

  • how to create a array of labelfields

    - by sheetal_r oswal
    I have 'n' number of data which has to be added to a label field which in turn has to be added to hfm.I am setting the single data in to label field as : final LabelField desc = new LabelField("", LabelField.FOCUSABLE); final LabelField desc1 = new LabelField("", LabelField.FOCUSABLE); Vector data = (Vector) listEvent.get(keys); for (int i = 0; i < data.size(); i++) { EventData ee = (EventData) data.elementAt(i); String Summary= ee.getSummary(); if (time.getText().equals(sTime)) { desc.setText(Summary); } else{ desc1.setText(Summary); } } HorizontalFieldManager horizontalFieldManager_left18 = new HorizontalFieldManager() { horizontalFieldManager_left18.add(desc1); vfm.add(horizontalFieldManager_left18); vfm.add(new SeparatorField()); HorizontalFieldManager horizontalFieldManager_left17 = new HorizontalFieldManager() { horizontalFieldManager_left17.add(desc); vfm.add(horizontalFieldManager_left17); vfm.add(new SeparatorField()); In the above code i loop over vector and set the data into labelfield and adding the label to hfm later. Now the case is the vector data has more than one summary data,and the data is getting overridden in labelfield,i need to keep 'n' number of summary data into lablefield and add to new hfm.

  • Keeping track of File System Utilization in Ops Center 12c

    - by S Stelting
    Enterprise Manager Ops Center 12c provides significant monitoring capabilities, combined with very flexible incident management. These capabilities even extend to monitoring the file systems associated with Solaris or Linux assets. Depending on your needs you can monitor and manage incidents, or you can fine tune alert monitoring rules to specific file systems. This article will show you how to use Ops Center 12c to Track file system utilization Adjust file system monitoring rules Disable file system rules Create custom monitoring rules If you're interested in this topic, please join us for a WebEx presentation! This tab shows you the local file system associated with the instance and any shared storage libraries mounted by Ops Center. More detailed information about file system storage is available under the Analytics tab under the sub-tab named Charts. Here, you can select and display the individual mount points of an OS, and export the utilization data if desired: In this example, the OS instance has a basic root file partition and several NFS directories. Each file system mount point can be independently chosen for display in the Ops Center chart. File Systems and Incident  Reporting Every asset managed by Ops Center has a "monitoring policy", which determines what represents a reportable issue with the asset. The policy is made up of a bunch of monitoring rules, where each rule describes An attribute to monitor The conditions which represent an issue The level or levels of severity for the issue When the conditions are met, Ops Center sends a notification and creates an incident. By default, OS instances have three monitoring rules associated with file systems: File System Reachability: Triggers an incident if a file system is not reachable NAS Library Status: Triggers an incident for a value of "WARNING" or "DEGRADED" for a NAS-based file system File System Used Space Percentage: Triggers an incident when file system utilization grows beyond defined thresholds You can view these rules in the Monitoring tab for an OS: Of course, the default monitoring rules is that they apply to every file system associated with an OS instance. As a result, any issue with NAS accessibility or disk utilization will trigger an incident. This can cause incidents for file systems to be reported multiple times if the same shared storage is used by many assets, as shown in this screen shot: Depending on the level of control you'd like, there are a number of ways to fine tune incident reporting. Note that any changes to an asset's monitoring policy will detach it from the default, creating a new monitoring policy for the asset. If you'd like, you can extract a monitoring policy from an asset, which allows you to save it and apply the customized monitoring profile to other OS assets. Solution #1: Modify the Reporting Thresholds In some cases, you may want to modify the basic conditions for incident reporting in your file system. The changes you make to a default monitoring rule will apply to all of the file systems associated with your operating system. Selecting the File Systems Used Space Percentage entry and clicking the "Edit Alert Monitoring Rule Parameters" button opens a pop-up dialog which allows you to modify the rule. The first screen lets you decide when you will check for file system usage, and how long you will wait before opening an incident in Ops Center. By default, Ops Center monitors continuously and reports disk utilization issues which exist for more than 15 minutes. The second screen lets you define actual threshold values. By default, Ops Center opens a Warning level incident is utilization rises above 80%, and a Critical level incident for utilization above 95% Solution #2: Disable Incident Reporting for File System If you'd rather not report file system incidents, you can disable the monitoring rules altogether. In this case, you can select the monitoring rules and click the "Disable Alert Monitoring Rule(s)" button to open the pop-up confirmation dialog. Like the first solution, this option affects all file system monitoring. It allows you to completely disable incident reporting for NAS library status or file system space consumption. Solution #3: Create New Monitoring Rules for Specific File Systems If you'd like to have the greatest flexibility when monitoring file systems, you can create entirely new rules. Clicking the "Add Alert Monitoring Rule" (the icon with the green plus sign) opens a wizard which allows you to define a new rule.  This rule will be based on a threshold, and will be used to monitor operating system assets. We'd like to add a rule to track disk utilization for a specific file system - the /nfs-guest directory. To do this, we specify the following attribute FileSystemUsages.name=/nfs-guest.usedSpacePercentage The value of name in the attribute allows us to define a specific NFS shared directory or file system... in the case of this OS, we could have chosen any of the values shown in the File Systems Utilization chart at the beginning of this article. usedSpacePercentage lets us define a threshold based on the percentage of total disk space used. There are a number of other values that we could use for threshold-based monitoring of FileSystemUsages, including freeSpace freeSpacePercentage totalSpace usedSpace usedSpacePercentage The final sections of the screen allow us to determine when to monitor for disk usage, and how long to wait after utilization reaches a threshold before creating an incident. The next screen lets us define the threshold values and severity levels for the monitoring rule: If historical data is available, Ops Center will display it in the screen. Clicking the Apply button will create the new monitoring rule and active it in your monitoring policy. If you combine this with one of the previous solutions, you can precisely define which file systems will generate incidents and notifications. For example, this monitoring policy has the default "File System Used Space Percentage" rule disabled, but the new rule reports ONLY on utilization for the /nfs-guest directory. • Tricks and Optimizations for you Sitecore website

    - by amaniar
    When working with Sitecore there are some optimizations/configurations I usually repeat in order to make my app production ready. Following is a small list I have compiled from experience, Sitecore documentation, communicating with Sitecore Engineers etc. This is not supposed to be technically complete and might not be fit for all environments.   Simple configurations that can make a difference: 1) Configure Sitecore Caches. This is the most straight forward and sure way of increasing the performance of your website. Data and item cache sizes (/databases/database/ [id=web] ) should be configured as needed. You may start with a smaller number and tune them as needed. <cacheSizes hint="setting"> <data>300MB</data> <items>300MB</items> <paths>5MB</paths> <standardValues>5MB</standardValues> </cacheSizes> Tune the html, registry etc cache sizes for your website.   <cacheSizes> <sites> <website> <html>300MB</html> <registry>1MB</registry> <viewState>10MB</viewState> <xsl>5MB</xsl> </website> </sites> </cacheSizes> Tune the prefetch cache settings under the App_Config/Prefetch/ folder. Sample /App_Config/Prefetch/Web.Config: <configuration> <cacheSize>300MB</cacheSize> <!--preload items that use this template--> <template desc="mytemplate">{XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX}</template> <!--preload this item--> <item desc="myitem">{XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX }</item> <!--preload children of this item--> <children desc="childitems">{XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX}</children> </configuration> Break your page into sublayouts so you may cache most of them. Read the caching configuration reference: http://sdn.sitecore.net/upload/sitecore6/sc62keywords/cache_configuration_reference_a4.pdf   2) Disable Analytics for the Shell Site <site name="shell" virtualFolder="/sitecore/shell" physicalFolder="/sitecore/shell" rootPath="/sitecore/content" startItem="/home" language="en" database="core" domain="sitecore" loginPage="/sitecore/login" content="master" contentStartItem="/Home" enableWorkflow="true" enableAnalytics="false" xmlControlPage="/sitecore/shell/default.aspx" browserTitle="Sitecore" htmlCacheSize="2MB" registryCacheSize="3MB" viewStateCacheSize="200KB" xslCacheSize="5MB" />   3) Increase the Check Interval for the MemoryMonitorHook so it doesn’t run every 5 seconds (default). <hook type="Sitecore.Diagnostics.MemoryMonitorHook, Sitecore.Kernel"> <param desc="Threshold">800MB</param> <param desc="Check interval">00:05:00</param> <param desc="Minimum time between log entries">00:01:00</param> <ClearCaches>false</ClearCaches> <GarbageCollect>false</GarbageCollect> <AdjustLoadFactor>false</AdjustLoadFactor> </hook>   4) Set Analytics.PeformLookup (Sitecore.Analytics.config) to false if your environment doesn’t have access to the internet or you don’t intend to use reverse DNS lookup. <setting name="Analytics.PerformLookup" value="false" />   5) Set the value of the “Media.MediaLinkPrefix” setting to “-/media”: <setting name="Media.MediaLinkPrefix" value="-/media" /> Add the following line to the customHandlers section: <customHandlers> <handler trigger="-/media/" handler="sitecore_media.ashx" /> <handler trigger="~/media/" handler="sitecore_media.ashx" /> <handler trigger="~/api/" handler="sitecore_api.ashx" /> <handler trigger="~/xaml/" handler="sitecore_xaml.ashx" /> <handler trigger="~/icon/" handler="sitecore_icon.ashx" /> <handler trigger="~/feed/" handler="sitecore_feed.ashx" /> </customHandlers> Link: http://squad.jpkeisala.com/2011/10/sitecore-media-library-performance-optimization-checklist/   6) Performance counters should be disabled in production if not being monitored <setting name="Counters.Enabled" value="false" />   7) Disable Item/Memory/Timing threshold warnings. Due to the nature of this component, it brings no value in production. <!--<processor type="Sitecore.Pipelines.HttpRequest.StartMeasurements, Sitecore.Kernel" />--> <!--<processor type="Sitecore.Pipelines.HttpRequest.StopMeasurements, Sitecore.Kernel"> <TimingThreshold desc="Milliseconds">1000</TimingThreshold> <ItemThreshold desc="Item count">1000</ItemThreshold> <MemoryThreshold desc="KB">10000</MemoryThreshold> </processor>—>   8) The ContentEditor.RenderCollapsedSections setting is a hidden setting in the web.config file, which by default is true. Setting it to false will improve client performance for authoring environments. <setting name="ContentEditor.RenderCollapsedSections" value="false" />   9) Add a machineKey section to your Web.Config file when using a web farm. Link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff649308.aspx   10) If you get errors in the log files similar to: WARN Could not create an instance of the counter 'XXX.XXX' (category: 'Sitecore.System') Exception: System.UnauthorizedAccessException Message: Access to the registry key 'Global' is denied. Make sure the ApplicationPool user is a member of the system “Performance Monitor Users” group on the server.   11) Disable WebDAV configurations on the CD Server if not being used. More: http://sitecoreblog.alexshyba.com/2011/04/disable-webdav-in-sitecore.html   12) Change Log4Net settings to only log Errors on content delivery environments to avoid unnecessary logging. <root> <priority value="ERROR" /> <appender-ref ref="LogFileAppender" /> </root>   13) Disable Analytics for any content item that doesn’t add value. For example a page that redirects to another page.   14) When using Web User Controls avoid registering them on the page the asp.net way: <%@ Register Src="~/layouts/UserControls/MyControl.ascx" TagName="MyControl" TagPrefix="uc2" %> Use Sublayout web control instead – This way Sitecore caching could be leveraged <sc:Sublayout ID="ID" Path="/layouts/UserControls/MyControl.ascx" Cacheable="true" runat="server" />   15) Avoid querying for all children recursively when all items are direct children. Sitecore.Context.Database.SelectItems("/sitecore/content/Home//*"); //Use: Sitecore.Context.Database.GetItem("/sitecore/content/Home");   16) On IIS — you enable static & dynamic content compression on CM and CD More: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754668%28WS.10%29.aspx   17) Enable HTTP Keep-alive and content expiration in IIS.   18) Use GUID’s when accessing items and fields instead of names or paths. Its faster and wont break your code when things get moved or renamed. Context.Database.GetItem("{324DFD16-BD4F-4853-8FF1-D663F6422DFF}") Context.Item.Fields["{89D38A8F-394E-45B0-826B-1A826CF4046D}"]; //is better than Context.Database.GetItem("/Home/MyItem") Context.Item.Fields["FieldName"]   Hope this helps.

  • Custom Paging for GridView in an UpdatePanel not firing PageIndexChanging event

    - by JeffCren
    I have a GridView that uses custom paging inside an UpdatePanel (so that the paging and sorting of the gridview don't cause postback). The sorting works fine, but the paging doesn't. The PageIndexChanging event is never called. This is the aspx code: <asp:UpdatePanel runat="server" ID="upSearchResults" ChildrenAsTriggers="true" UpdateMode="Always"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:GridView ID="gvSearchResults" runat="server" AllowSorting="true" AutoGenerateColumns="false" AllowPaging="true" PageSize="10" OnDataBound="gvSearchResults_DataBound" OnRowDataBound ="gvSearchResults_RowDataBound" OnSorting="gvSearchResults_Sorting" OnPageIndexChanging="gvSearchResults_PageIndexChanging" Width="100%" EnableSortingAndPagingCallbacks="false"> <Columns> <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Select" HeaderStyle-HorizontalAlign="Center"> <ItemTemplate> <asp:HyperLink ID="lnkAdd" runat="server">Add</asp:HyperLink> <asp:HiddenField ID="hfPersonId" runat="server" Value='<%# Eval("Id") %>'/> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> <asp:BoundField HeaderText="First Name" DataField="FirstName" HeaderStyle-HorizontalAlign="Center" ItemStyle-HorizontalAlign="Center" SortExpression="FirstName" /> <asp:BoundField HeaderText="Last Name" DataField="LastName" HeaderStyle-HorizontalAlign="Center" ItemStyle-HorizontalAlign="Center" SortExpression="LastName" /> <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Phone Number" HeaderStyle-HorizontalAlign="Center" ItemStyle-HorizontalAlign="Center" > <ItemTemplate> <asp:Label ID="lblPhone" runat="server" Text="" /> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> </Columns> <PagerTemplate> <table width="100%" class="pager"> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> </table> </PagerTemplate> </asp:GridView> <div class="btnContainer"> <div class="btn btn-height_small btn-style_dominant"> <asp:LinkButton ID="lbtNewRecord" runat="server" OnClick="lbtNewRecord_Click"><span>Create New Record</span></asp:LinkButton> </div> <div class="btn btn-height_small btn-style_subtle"> <a onclick="openParticipantModal();"><span>Cancel</span></a> </div> </div> </ContentTemplate> <Triggers> <asp:AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="gvSearchResults" EventName="PageIndexChanging" /> <asp:AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="gvSearchResults" EventName="Sorting" /> </Triggers> </asp:UpdatePanel> In the code behind I have a SetPaging method that is called on the GridView OnDataBound event: private void SetPaging(GridView gv) { GridViewRow row = gv.BottomPagerRow; var place = row.Cells[0]; var first = new LinkButton(); first.CommandName = "Page"; first.CommandArgument = "First"; first.Text = "First"; first.ToolTip = "First Page"; if (place != null) place.Controls.Add(first); var lbl = new Label(); lbl.Text = " "; if (place != null) place.Controls.Add(lbl); var prev = new LinkButton(); prev.CommandName = "Page"; prev.CommandArgument = "Prev"; prev.Text = "Prev"; prev.ToolTip = "Previous Page"; if (place != null) place.Controls.Add(prev); var lbl2 = new Label(); lbl2.Text = " "; if (place != null) place.Controls.Add(lbl2); for (int i = 1; i <= gv.PageCount; i++) { var btn = new LinkButton(); btn.CommandName = "Page"; btn.CommandArgument = i.ToString(); if (i == gv.PageIndex + 1) { btn.BackColor = Color.Gray; } btn.Text = i.ToString(); btn.ToolTip = "Page " + i.ToString(); if (place != null) place.Controls.Add(btn); var lbl3 = new Label(); lbl3.Text = " "; if (place != null) place.Controls.Add(lbl3); } var next = new LinkButton(); next.CommandName = "Page"; next.CommandArgument = "Next"; next.Text = "Next"; next.ToolTip = "Next Page"; if (place != null) place.Controls.Add(next); var lbl4 = new Label(); lbl4.Text = " "; if (place != null) place.Controls.Add(lbl4); var last = new LinkButton(); last.CommandName = "Page"; last.CommandArgument = "Last"; last.Text = "Last"; last.ToolTip = "Last Page"; if (place != null) place.Controls.Add(last); var lbl5 = new Label(); lbl5.Text = " "; if (place != null) place.Controls.Add(lbl5); } The paging works if I don't use custom paging, but I really need to use the custom paging. I can't figure out why the PageIndexChanging event isn't fired when I'm using the custom paging. Thanks, Jeff

  • Installing vim7.2 on Solaris Sparc 10 as non-root

    I'm trying to install vim to $HOME/bin by compiling the sources. ./configure --prefix=$home/bin seems to work, but when running make I get: > make Starting make in the src directory. If there are problems, cd to the src directory and run make there cd src && make first gcc -c -I. -Iproto -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DFEAT_GUI_GTK -I/usr/include/gtk-2.0 -I/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/include -I/usr/include/atk-1.0 -I/usr/include/pango-1.0 -I/usr/openwin/include -I/usr/sfw/include -I/usr/sfw/include/freetype2 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -g -O2 -I/usr/openwin/include -o objects/buffer.o buffer.c In file included from buffer.c:28: vim.h:41: error: syntax error before ':' token In file included from os_unix.h:29, from vim.h:245, from buffer.c:28: /usr/include/sys/stat.h:251: error: syntax error before "blksize_t" /usr/include/sys/stat.h:255: error: syntax error before '}' token /usr/include/sys/stat.h:309: error: syntax error before "blksize_t" /usr/include/sys/stat.h:310: error: conflicting types for 'st_blocks' /usr/include/sys/stat.h:252: error: previous declaration of 'st_blocks' was here /usr/include/sys/stat.h:313: error: syntax error before '}' token In file included from /opt/local/bin/../lib/gcc/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/3.4.6/include/sys/signal.h:132, from /usr/include/signal.h:26, from os_unix.h:163, from vim.h:245, from buffer.c:28: /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:259: error: syntax error before "ctid_t" /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:292: error: syntax error before '}' token /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:294: error: syntax error before '}' token /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:390: error: syntax error before "ctid_t" /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:398: error: conflicting types for '__fault' /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:267: error: previous declaration of '__fault' was here /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:404: error: conflicting types for '__file' /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:273: error: previous declaration of '__file' was here /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:420: error: conflicting types for '__prof' /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:287: error: previous declaration of '__prof' was here /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:424: error: conflicting types for '__rctl' /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:291: error: previous declaration of '__rctl' was here /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:426: error: syntax error before '}' token /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:428: error: syntax error before '}' token /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:432: error: syntax error before "k_siginfo_t" /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h:437: error: syntax error before '}' token In file included from /usr/include/signal.h:26, from os_unix.h:163, from vim.h:245, from buffer.c:28: /opt/local/bin/../lib/gcc/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/3.4.6/include/sys/signal.h:173: error: syntax error before "siginfo_t" In file included from os_unix.h:163, from vim.h:245, from buffer.c:28: /usr/include/signal.h:111: error: syntax error before "siginfo_t" /usr/include/signal.h:113: error: syntax error before "siginfo_t" buffer.c: In function `buflist_new': buffer.c:1502: error: storage size of 'st' isn't known buffer.c: In function `buflist_findname': buffer.c:1989: error: storage size of 'st' isn't known buffer.c: In function `setfname': buffer.c:2578: error: storage size of 'st' isn't known buffer.c: In function `otherfile_buf': buffer.c:2836: error: storage size of 'st' isn't known buffer.c: In function `buf_setino': buffer.c:2874: error: storage size of 'st' isn't known buffer.c: In function `buf_same_ino': buffer.c:2894: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type buffer.c:2895: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `objects/buffer.o' Current working directory /home/xluntor/vim72/src *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `first' How do I fix the make errors? Or is there another way to install vim as non-root? Thanks in advance EDIT: I took a look at the google groups link Sarah posted. The "Compiling Vim" page linked from there was for Linux, so the commands doesn't even work on Solars. But it did hint at logging the output of ./configure to a file, so I did that. Here it is: ./configure output removed. New version further down. Does anyone spot anything critical missing? EDIT 2: So I downloaded the vim package from sunfreeware. I couldn't just install it, since I don't have root privileges, but I was able to extract the package file. This was the file structure in it: `-- SMCvim `-- reloc |-- bin |-- doc | `-- vim `-- share |-- man | `-- man1 `-- vim `-- vim72 |-- autoload | `-- xml |-- colors |-- compiler |-- doc |-- ftplugin |-- indent |-- keymap |-- lang |-- macros | |-- hanoi | |-- life | |-- maze | `-- urm |-- plugin |-- print |-- spell |-- syntax |-- tools `-- tutor I moved the three files (vim, vimtutor, xdd) in SMCvim/reloc/bin to $HOME/bin, so now I can finally run $HOME/bin/vim! But where do I put the "share" directory and its content? EDIT 3: It might also be worth noting that there already exists an install of vim on the system, but it is broken. When I try to run it I get: ld.so.1: vim: fatal: libgtk-1.2.so.0: open failed: No such file or directory "which vim" outputs /opt/local/bin/vim EDIT 4: Trying to compile this on Solaris 10. uname -a SunOS ws005-22 5.10 Generic_141414-10 sun4u sparc SUNW,SPARC-Enterprise New ./configure output: ./configure --prefix=$home/bin ac_cv_sizeof_int=8 --enable-rubyinterp configure: loading cache auto/config.cache checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes checking for gcc... gcc checking for C compiler default output file name... a.out checking whether the C compiler works... yes checking whether we are cross compiling... no checking for suffix of executables... checking for suffix of object files... o checking whether we are using the GNU C compiler... yes checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes checking for gcc option to accept ISO C89... unsupported checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc -E checking for grep that handles long lines and -e... /usr/sfw/bin/ggrep checking for egrep... /usr/sfw/bin/ggrep -E checking for library containing strerror... none required checking for gawk... gawk checking for strip... strip checking for ANSI C header files... yes checking for sys/wait.h that is POSIX.1 compatible... no configure: checking for buggy tools... checking for BeOS... no checking for QNX... no checking for Darwin (Mac OS X)... no checking --with-local-dir argument... • Check for Block Ads/Scripts (Browser Addons, Compatibility)

    - by acidzombie24
    I'm conflicted. you guys decide if this should migrate to SU or not. I would like to test my site against popular browser ad ons. ATM i have tested against noscript and adblock plus for firefox. What other popular ad ons should i check compatibility with? By compatibility i mean to work as intent on browsers i support (opera, firefox, chrome, IE 7/8) which include ads. NoScript broke my site and for adblock plus i ask once per week to consider allowing ads. When i see IE6 i notify the user the site is known to be unusable with that browser (The site is script heavy by nature and i wouldnt want to accidentally serve ads to infect users of IE6 with a virus).

  • Customize VisualStudio syntax highlighting even more

    - by Alex K
    Hi everybody, I am wondering if it is possible to set VisualStudio IDE so it highlights private/protected/public variables of the class differently as well as change formatting on locals (i.e. variables that are either passed in or declared inside a function, like this). I did not find any such options in the normal Fonts and Colors menu of VS. Also a search on SO reveals that (at least as of 2 years ago) only add-ons provide such features. But is there a way to manually edit some file? Just because we don't get a nice UI to edit, doesn't mean underlying framework automatically doesn't support it. I mean add-ons have to plug into something to do their magic in the editor. Any insights into this issue? Thanks!

  • Translate ImageButton from C# to XAML

    - by Bill
    I worked out the C# code to create an ImageButton (below) that has three images (one base-image and two overlays) and three text boxes as the face of the button. I am inheriting from the Button class, which unfortunately includes several components that I didn't realize would surface until after coding and need to remove, namely the bright-blue surrounding border on IsMouseOver, and any visible borders between the buttons, as the buttons will end up in a wrapPanel and the borders need to be seamless. Now that the format has been worked out in C#, I expect that I need to translate to XAML so that I can create a ControlTemplate to get the functionality necessary, however I am not certain as to the process of translating from C# to XAML. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? public class ACover : Button { Image cAImage = null; Image jCImage = null; Image jCImageOverlay = null; TextBlock ATextBlock = null; TextBlock AbTextBlock = null; TextBlock ReleaseDateTextBlock = null; private string _TracksXML = ""; public ACover() { Grid cArtGrid = new Grid(); cArtGrid.Background = new SolidColorBrush(Color.FromRgb(38, 44, 64)); cArtGrid.Margin = new System.Windows.Thickness(5, 10, 5, 10); RowDefinition row1 = new RowDefinition(); row1.Height = new GridLength(225); RowDefinition row2 = new RowDefinition(); row2.Height = new GridLength(0, GridUnitType.Auto); RowDefinition row3 = new RowDefinition(); row3.Height = new GridLength(0, GridUnitType.Auto); RowDefinition row4 = new RowDefinition(); row4.Height = new GridLength(0, GridUnitType.Auto); cArtGrid.RowDefinitions.Add(row1); cArtGrid.RowDefinitions.Add(row2); cArtGrid.RowDefinitions.Add(row3); cArtGrid.RowDefinitions.Add(row4); ColumnDefinition col1 = new ColumnDefinition(); col1.Width = new GridLength(0, GridUnitType.Auto); cArtGrid.ColumnDefinitions.Add(col1); jCImage = new Image(); jCImage.Height = 240; jCImage.Width = 260; jCImage.VerticalAlignment = VerticalAlignment.Top; jCImage.Source = new BitmapImage(new Uri(Properties.Settings.Default.pathToGridImages + "jc.png", UriKind.Absolute)); cArtGrid.Children.Add(jCImage); cArtImage = new Image(); cArtImage.Height = 192; cArtImage.Width = 192; cArtImage.Margin = new System.Windows.Thickness(3, 7, 0, 0); cArtImage.VerticalAlignment = VerticalAlignment.Top; cArtGrid.Children.Add(cArtImage); jCImageOverlay = new Image(); jCImageOverlay.Height = 192; jCImageOverlay.Width = 192; jCImageOverlay.Margin = new System.Windows.Thickness(3, 7, 0, 0); jCImageOverlay.VerticalAlignment = VerticalAlignment.Top; jCImageOverlay.Source = new BitmapImage(new Uri( Properties.Settings.Default.pathToGridImages + "jc-overlay.png", UriKind.Absolute)); coverArtGrid.Children.Add(jCImageOverlay); ATextBlock = new TextBlock(); ATextBlock.Foreground = new SolidColorBrush(Color.FromRgb(173, 176, 198)); ATextBlock.Margin = new Thickness(10, -10, 0, 0); cArtGrid.Children.Add(ATextBlock); AlTextBlock = new TextBlock(); AlTextBlock.Margin = new Thickness(10, 0, 0, 0); AlTextBlock.Foreground = new SolidColorBrush(Color.FromRgb(173, 176, 198)); cArtGrid.Children.Add(AlTextBlock); RDTextBlock = new TextBlock(); RDTextBlock.Margin = new Thickness(10, 0, 0, 0); RDTextBlock.Foreground = new SolidColorBrush(Color.FromRgb(173, 176, 198)); cArtGrid.Children.Add(RDTextBlock); Grid.SetColumn(jCImage, 0); Grid.SetRow(jCImage, 0); Grid.SetColumn(jCImageOverlay, 0); Grid.SetRow(jCImageOverlay, 0); Grid.SetColumn(cArtImage, 0); Grid.SetRow(cArtImage, 0); Grid.SetColumn(ATextBlock, 0); Grid.SetRow(ATextBlock, 1); Grid.SetColumn(AlTextBlock, 0); Grid.SetRow(AlTextBlock, 2); Grid.SetColumn(RDTextBlock, 0); Grid.SetRow(RDTextBlock, 3); this.Content = cArtGrid; } public string A { get { if (ATextBlock != null) return ATextBlock.Text; else return String.Empty; } set { if (ATextBlock != null) ATextBlock.Text = value; } } public string Al { get { if (AlTextBlock != null) return AlTextBlock.Text; else return String.Empty; } set { if (AlTextBlock != null) AlTextBlock.Text = value; } } public string RD { get { if (RDTextBlock != null) return RDTextBlock.Text; else return String.Empty; } set { if (RDTextBlock != null) RDTextBlock.Text = value; } } public ImageSource Image { get { if (cArtImage != null) return cArtImage.Source; else return null; } set { if (cArtImage != null) cArtImage.Source = value; } } public string TracksXML { get { return _TracksXML; } set { _TracksXML = value; } } public double ImageWidth { get { if (cArtImage != null) return cArtImage.Width; else return double.NaN; } set { if (cArtImage != null) cArtImage.Width = value; } } public double ImageHeight { get { if (cArtImage != null) return cArtImage.Height; else return double.NaN; } set { if (cArtImage != null) cArtImage.Height = value; } } }

  • EF4 generates invalid script

    - by Jaxidian
    When I right-click in a .EDMX file and click Generate Database From Model, the resulting script is obviously wrong because of the table names. What it generates is the following script. Note the table names in the DROP TABLE part versus the CREATE TABLE part. Why is this inconsistent? This is obviously not a reusable script. What I created was an Entity named "Address" and an Entity named "Company", etc (all singular). The EntitySet names are pluralized. The "Pluralize New Objects" boolean does not change this either. So what's the deal? For what it's worth, I originally generated the EDMX by pointing it to a database that had tables with non-pluralized names and now that I've made some changes, I want to go back the other way. I'd like to have the option to go back and forth as neither the db-first nor the model-first model is ideal in all scenarios, and I have the control to ensure that there will be no merging issues from multiple people going both ways at the same time. -- -------------------------------------------------- -- Dropping existing FOREIGN KEY constraints -- NOTE: if the constraint does not exist, an ignorable error will be reported. -- -------------------------------------------------- ALTER TABLE [Address] DROP CONSTRAINT [FK_Address_StateID-State_ID]; • NServiceBus pipeline with Distributors

    - by David
    I'm building a processing pipeline with NServiceBus but I'm having trouble with the configuration of the distributors in order to make each step in the process scalable. Here's some info: The pipeline will have a master process that says "OK, time to start" for a WorkItem, which will then start a process like a flowchart. Each step in the flowchart may be computationally expensive, so I want the ability to scale out each step. This tells me that each step needs a Distributor. I want to be able to hook additional activities onto events later. This tells me I need to Publish() messages when it is done, not Send() them. A process may need to branch based on a condition. This tells me that a process must be able to publish more than one type of message. A process may need to join forks. I imagine I should use Sagas for this. Hopefully these assumptions are good otherwise I'm in more trouble than I thought. For the sake of simplicity, let's forget about forking or joining and consider a simple pipeline, with Step A followed by Step B, and ending with Step C. Each step gets its own distributor and can have many nodes processing messages. NodeA workers contain a IHandleMessages processor, and publish EventA NodeB workers contain a IHandleMessages processor, and publish Event B NodeC workers contain a IHandleMessages processor, and then the pipeline is complete. Here are the relevant parts of the config files, where # denotes the number of the worker, (i.e. there are input queues NodeA.1 and NodeA.2): NodeA: <MsmqTransportConfig InputQueue="NodeA.#" ErrorQueue="error" NumberOfWorkerThreads="1" MaxRetries="5" /> <UnicastBusConfig DistributorControlAddress="NodeA.Distrib.Control" DistributorDataAddress="NodeA.Distrib.Data" > <MessageEndpointMappings> </MessageEndpointMappings> </UnicastBusConfig> NodeB: <MsmqTransportConfig InputQueue="NodeB.#" ErrorQueue="error" NumberOfWorkerThreads="1" MaxRetries="5" /> <UnicastBusConfig DistributorControlAddress="NodeB.Distrib.Control" DistributorDataAddress="NodeB.Distrib.Data" > <MessageEndpointMappings> <add Messages="Messages.EventA, Messages" Endpoint="NodeA.Distrib.Data" /> </MessageEndpointMappings> </UnicastBusConfig> NodeC: <MsmqTransportConfig InputQueue="NodeC.#" ErrorQueue="error" NumberOfWorkerThreads="1" MaxRetries="5" /> <UnicastBusConfig DistributorControlAddress="NodeC.Distrib.Control" DistributorDataAddress="NodeC.Distrib.Data" > <MessageEndpointMappings> <add Messages="Messages.EventB, Messages" Endpoint="NodeB.Distrib.Data" /> </MessageEndpointMappings> </UnicastBusConfig> And here are the relevant parts of the distributor configs: Distributor A: <add key="DataInputQueue" value="NodeA.Distrib.Data"/> <add key="ControlInputQueue" value="NodeA.Distrib.Control"/> <add key="StorageQueue" value="NodeA.Distrib.Storage"/> Distributor B: <add key="DataInputQueue" value="NodeB.Distrib.Data"/> <add key="ControlInputQueue" value="NodeB.Distrib.Control"/> <add key="StorageQueue" value="NodeB.Distrib.Storage"/> Distributor C: <add key="DataInputQueue" value="NodeC.Distrib.Data"/> <add key="ControlInputQueue" value="NodeC.Distrib.Control"/> <add key="StorageQueue" value="NodeC.Distrib.Storage"/> I'm testing using 2 instances of each node, and the problem seems to come up in the middle at Node B. There are basically 2 things that might happen: Both instances of Node B report that it is subscribing to EventA, and also that NodeC.Distrib.Data@MYCOMPUTER is subscribing to the EventB that Node B publishes. In this case, everything works great. Both instances of Node B report that it is subscribing to EventA, however, one worker says NodeC.Distrib.Data@MYCOMPUTER is subscribing TWICE, while the other worker does not mention it. In the second case, which seem to be controlled only by the way the distributor routes the subscription messages, if the "overachiever" node processes an EventA, all is well. If the "underachiever" processes EventA, then the publish of EventB has no subscribers and the workflow dies. So, my questions: Is this kind of setup possible? Is the configuration correct? It's hard to find any examples of configuration with distributors beyond a simple one-level publisher/2-worker setup. Would it make more sense to have one central broker process that does all the non-computationally-intensive traffic cop operations, and only sends messages to processes behind distributors when the task is long-running and must be load balanced? Then the load-balanced nodes could simply reply back to the central broker, which seems easier. On the other hand, that seems at odds with the decentralization that is NServiceBus's strength. And if this is the answer, and the long running process's done event is a reply, how do you keep the Publish that enables later extensibility on published events?

  • ASP.NET MVC + MySql Membership Provider, user cannot login

    - by Jason Miesionczek
    Hello, I've been playing around with using MySql as the membership provider for asp.net mvc forms authentication. I've got things configured correctly as far as i can tell, and i can create users via both the register action and asp.net web config site. however, when i try to login with one of the users, it does not work. it returns an error as if i had entered a wrong password, or if the account doesn't exist. i have verified in the database that the account does exist. I've followed the instructions here for reference: http://blog.tchami.com/post/ASPNET-MVC-2-and-MySQL-Membership-Provider.aspx here is my web.config: <?xml version="1.0"?> <!-- For more information on how to configure your ASP.NET application, please visit http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=152368 --> <configuration> <connectionStrings> <add name="MySQLConn" connectionString="Server=localhost;Database=intereditor;Uid=<user>;Pwd=<password>;"/> </connectionStrings> <system.web> <compilation debug="true" targetFramework="4.0"> <assemblies> <add assembly="System.Web.Abstractions, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" /> <add assembly="System.Web.Routing, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" /> <add assembly="System.Web.Mvc, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" /> </assemblies> </compilation> <authentication mode="Forms"> <forms loginUrl="~/Account/LogOn" timeout="2880" name=".ASPXFORM$" path="/" requireSSL="false" slidingExpiration="true" enableCrossAppRedirects="false" /> </authentication> <membership defaultProvider="MySqlMembershipProvider"> <providers> <clear/> <add name="MySqlMembershipProvider" type="MySql.Web.Security.MySQLMembershipProvider,MySql.Web,Version=6.3.4.0, Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d" autogenerateschema="true" connectionStringName="MySQLConn" enablePasswordRetrieval="false" enablePasswordReset="true" requiresQuestionAndAnswer="false" requiresUniqueEmail="false" passwordFormat="Hashed" maxInvalidPasswordAttempts="5" minRequiredPasswordLength="6" minRequiredNonalphanumericCharacters="0" passwordAttemptWindow="10" passwordStrengthRegularExpression="" applicationName="/" /> </providers> </membership> <profile defaultProvider="MySqlProfileProvider"> <providers> <clear/> <add name="MySqlProfileProvider" type="MySql.Web.Profile.MySQLProfileProvider,MySql.Web,Version=6.3.4.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d" connectionStringName="MySQLConn" applicationName="/" /> </providers> </profile> <roleManager enabled="true" defaultProvider="MySqlRoleProvider"> <providers> <clear /> <add name="MySqlRoleProvider" type="MySql.Web.Security.MySQLRoleProvider,MySql.Web,Version=6.3.4.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d" connectionStringName="MySQLConn" applicationName="/" /> </providers> </roleManager> <pages> <namespaces> <add namespace="System.Web.Mvc" /> <add namespace="System.Web.Mvc.Ajax" /> <add namespace="System.Web.Mvc.Html" /> <add namespace="System.Web.Routing" /> </namespaces> </pages> </system.web> <system.webServer> <validation validateIntegratedModeConfiguration="false"/> <modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true"/> </system.webServer> <runtime> <assemblyBinding xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1"> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity name="System.Web.Mvc" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" /> <bindingRedirect oldVersion="1.0.0.0" newVersion="2.0.0.0" /> </dependentAssembly> </assemblyBinding> </runtime> </configuration> Can anyone please help me identify what is wrong so that users can login? UPDATE So after debugging the login process in the code of the membership provider itself, i discovered that there is a bug in the provider. There is a discrepancy between the password hash that is stored in the database, and the has that is generated based on the inputted password. As a workaround for my issue, i changed the password format to 'encrpyted' and added a machine key to my web.config. I am still interested in figuring out the issue with the hashed format in the provider, and will spend some more time debugging it, and if i can figure out the problem, i will put together a patch and submit it.

  • Display Message if Flash Doesn't Show in IE8

    - by aarontb
    Okay...so apparently with the new update in IE8, it starts up with NO add-ons. Since I cannot program a code to turn on add-ons in a browser, I need to show a message when this occurs. Much like an image has alternative text in the event the image doesn't load...how can I add a message that states: You are using Internet Explorer 8+ and need to turn on your add-ins like FLASH Player. This site is optimized for Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. ANy suggestions?

  • Usercontrol databinding within a databound datagridview

    - by user328259
    Good day. I'm developing a Windows application and working with Windows Forms; .Net 2.0. I have an issue databinding a generic List of Car Rental Companies to a DataGridView when that list contains (one of its properties) anoother generic List of Car Makes. I also have a UserControl that I need to bind to this [inner] generic list ... Class CarRentalCompany contains: string Name, string Location, List CarMakes Class CarMake contains: string Name, bool isFord, bool isChevy, bool isOther The UserControl has a label for CarMake.Name and 3 checkboxes for each of the booleans of the class. HOw do I make this user control bindable for the class? In my form, I have a DataGridView binded to the CarRentalCompany object. The list CarMakes could be 0 or more items and I can add these as necessary. How do I establish the binding of CarRentalCompanies properly so CarMakes will bind accordingly?? For example, I have: List CarRentalCompanies = new List(); CarRentalCompany company1 = new CarRentalCompany(); company1.Name = "Acme Rentals"; company1.Location = "New York, NY"; company1.CarMakes = new List<CarMake>(); CarMake car1 = new CarMake(); car1.Name = "The Yellow Car"; car1.isFord = true; car1.isChevy = false; car1.isOther = false; company1.CarMakes.Add(car1); CarMake car2 = new CarMake(); car2.Name = "The Blue Car"; car2.isFord = false; car2.isChevy = true; car2.isOther = false; company1.CarMakes.Add(car2); CarMake car3 = new CarMake(); car3.Name = "The Purple Car"; car3.isFord = false; car3.isChevy = false; car3.isOther = true; company1.CarMakes.Add(car3); CarRentalCompanies.Add(company1); CarRentalCompany company2 = new CarRentalCompany(); company1.Name = "Z-Auto Rentals"; company1.Location = "Phoenix, AZ"; company1.CarMakes = new List<CarMake>(); CarMake car4 = new CarMake(); car4.Name = "The OrangeCar"; car4.isFord = true; car4.isChevy = false; car4.isOther = false; company2.CarMakes.Add(car4); CarMake car5 = new CarMake(); car5.Name = "The Red Car"; car5.isFord = true; car5.isChevy = false; car5.isOther = false; company2.CarMakes.Add(car5); CarMake car6 = new CarMake(); car6.Name = "The Green Car"; car6.isFord = true; car6.isChevy = false; car6.isOther = false; company2.CarMakes.Add(car6); CarRentalCompanies.Add(company2); I load my form and in my load form I have the following: Note: CarDataGrid is a DataGridView BindingSource bsTheRentals = new BindingSource(); DataGridViewTextBoxColumn companyName = new DataGridViewTextBoxColumn(); companyName.DataPropertyName = "Name"; companyName.HeaderText = "Company Name"; companyName.Name = "CompanyName"; companyName.AutoSizeMode = DataGridViewAutoSizeColumnMode.AllCells; DataGridViewTextBoxColumn companyLocation = new DataGridViewTextBoxColumn(); companyLocation.DataPropertyName = "Location"; companyLocation.HeaderText = "Company Location"; companyLocation.Name = "CompanyLocation"; companyLocation.AutoSizeMode = DataGridViewAutoSizeColumnMode.AllCells; ArrayList carMakeColumnsToAdd = new ArrayList(); // Loop through the CarMakes list to add each custom column for (int intX=0; intX < CarRentalCompanies.CarMakes[0].Count; intX++) { // Custom column for user control string carMakeColumnName = "carColumn" + intX; CarMakeListColumn carMakeColumn = new DataGridViewComboBoxColumn(); carMakeColumn.Name = carMakeColumnName; carMakeColumn.DisplayMember = CarRentalCompanies.CarMakes[intX].Name; carMakeColumn.DataSource = CarRentalCompanies.CarMakes; // this is the CarMAkes List carMakeColumn.AutoSizeMode = DataGridViewAutoSizeColumnMode.Fill; carMakeColumnsToAdd.Add(carMakeColumn); } CarDataGrid.DataSource = bsTheRentals; CarDataGrid.Columns.AddRange(new DataGridViewColumn[] { companyName, companylocation, carMakeColumnsToAdd }); CarDataGrid.AutoGenerateColumns = false; The code I provided does not work because I am unfamiliar with UserControls and custom DataGridViewColumns and DataGridViewCells - I know I must derive from these classes in order to use my User Control properly. I appreciate any advice/assistance/help in this. Thank you. Lawrence

  • Multiple Components in a JTree Node Renderer & Node Editor

    - by Samad Lotia
    I am attempting to create a JTree where a node has several components: a JPanel that holds a JCheckBox, followed by a JLabel, then a JComboBox. I have attached the code at the bottom if one wishes to run it. Fortunately the JTree correctly renders the components. However when I click on the JComboBox, the node disappears; if I click on the JCheckBox, it works fine. It seems that I am doing something wrong with how the TreeCellEditor is being set up. How could I resolve this issue? Am I going beyond the capabilities of JTree? Here's a quick overview of the code I have posted below. The class EntityListDialog merely creates the user interface. It is not useful to understand it other than the createTree method. Node is the data structure that holds information about each node in the JTree. All Nodes have a name, but samples may be null or an empty array. This should be evident by looking at EntityListDialog's createTree method. The name is used as the text of the JCheckBox. If samples is non-empty, it is used as the contents of the JCheckBox. NodeWithSamplesRenderer renders Nodes whose samples are non-empty. It creates the complicated user interface with the JPanel consisting of the JCheckBox and the JComboBox. NodeWithoutSamplesRenderer creates just a JCheckBox when samples is empty. RendererDispatcher decides whether to use a NodeWithSamplesRenderer or a NodeWithoutSamplesRenderer. This entirely depends on whether Node has a non-empty samples member or not. It essentially functions as a means for the NodeWith*SamplesRenderer to plug into the JTree. Code listing: import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; import java.util.*; import javax.swing.*; import javax.swing.tree.*; public class EntityListDialog { final JDialog dialog; final JTree entitiesTree; • When I restart my virtual enviorment it does not re-bind to the IP address

    The IP does no longer respond to a remote ping With restart I mean: lxc-stop -n vm3 lxc-start -n vm3 -f /etc/lxc/vm3.conf -d -- /etc/network/interfaces auto lo iface lo inet loopback up route add -net 127.0.0.0 netmask 255.0.0.0 dev lo down route add -net 127.0.0.0 netmask 255.0.0.0 dev lo # device: eth0 auto eth0 iface eth0 inet manual auto br0 iface br0 inet static address 192.22.189.58 netmask 255.255.255.248 gateway 192.22.189.57 broadcast 192.22.189.63 bridge_ports eth0 bridge_fd 0 bridge_hello 2 bridge_maxage 12 bridge_stp off post-up ip route add 192.22.189.59 dev br0 post-up ip route add 192.22.189.60 dev br0 post-up ip route add 192.22.189.61 dev br0 post-up ip route add 192.22.189.62 dev br0 -- /etc/lxc/vm3.conf lxc.utsname = vm3 lxc.rootfs = /var/lib/lxc/vm3/rootfs lxc.tty = 4 #lxc.pts = 1024 # pseudo tty instance for strict isolation lxc.network.type = veth lxc.network.flags = up lxc.network.link = br0 lxc.network.name = eth0 lxc.network.mtu = 1500 #lxc.cgroup.cpuset.cpus = 0 # security parameter lxc.cgroup.devices.deny = a # Deny all access to devices lxc.cgroup.devices.allow = c 1:3 rwm # dev/null lxc.cgroup.devices.allow = c 1:5 rwm # dev/zero lxc.cgroup.devices.allow = c 5:1 rwm # dev/console lxc.cgroup.devices.allow = c 5:0 rwm # dev/tty lxc.cgroup.devices.allow = c 4:0 rwm # dev/tty0 lxc.cgroup.devices.allow = c 4:1 rwm # dev/tty1 lxc.cgroup.devices.allow = c 4:2 rwm # dev/tty2 lxc.cgroup.devices.allow = c 1:9 rwm # dev/urandon lxc.cgroup.devices.allow = c 1:8 rwm # dev/random lxc.cgroup.devices.allow = c 136:* rwm # dev/pts/* lxc.cgroup.devices.allow = c 5:2 rwm # dev/pts/ptmx lxc.cgroup.devices.allow = c 254:0 rwm # rtc # mounts point lxc.mount.entry=proc /var/lib/lxc/vm3/rootfs/proc proc nodev,noexec,nosuid 0 0 lxc.mount.entry=devpts /var/lib/lxc/vm3/rootfs/dev/pts devpts defaults 0 0 lxc.mount.entry=sysfs /var/lib/lxc/vm3/rootfs/sys sysfs defaults 0 0

  • FreeBSD Traffic Shaping

    - by alexus
    Hi I'm trying to do traffic shaping with FreeBSD, here are my rules su-3.2# ipfw show | grep pipe 08380 1514852 125523804 pipe 1 tcp from any to any dst-port 80 su-3.2# ipfw pipe 1 show 00001: 2.000 Mbit/s 0 ms 50 sl. 1 queues (1 buckets) droptail mask: 0x00 0x00000000/0x0000 - 0x00000000/0x0000 BKT Prot ___Source IP/port____ ____Dest. IP/port____ Tot_pkt/bytes Pkt/Byte Drp 0 tcp 64.237.55.83/60598 72.21.81.133/80 6520267 1204533020 0 0 1216 su-3.2# first of all why when I run ipfw pipe 1 show i get same source and destination ip, that doesnt seem like ever change yet total packets/bytes increasing and most important question, after donig all that I'm looking at my MRTG stats and I see i'm very well over 2Mbit/s limit. what am I doing wrong? here is config file flush pipe flush pipe 1 config bw 2Mbit/s add 100 allow ip from any to any via lo0 add 200 deny ip from any to 127.0.0.0/8 add 300 deny ip from 127.0.0.0/8 to any add 8380 pipe 1 tcp from any to any src-port www uid daemon add 8380 pipe 1 tcp from any to any dst-port www uid daemon add 65000 pass all from any to any
