  • arg function not using URL alias

    - by cinqoTimo
    I am running Drupal 6, and I'm using PHP for block visibility. <?php $city = arg(0); $page = arg(1); if ($city == 'tampa' && $page != 'art'){ return 'TRUE'; } else{ return FALSE; } ?> I was having trouble with this block of code, so I decided to insert: <?php print arg(0).arg(1); ?> in my page.tpl.php. What I found was that on some of my pages, arg(0) was showing 'node' when the URL is actually 'tampa', and of course, arg(1) is showing the node ID. However, on other pages, such as my calendar, arg(0) is actually showing 'tampa' instead of 'node'. I have used this a lot in the past, and have never had this problem. Is there a reason why Drupal is disregarding my aliases on certain pages? If so, how can I fix it?

  • Casting Class into String and Vice Versa in JAVA

    - by topgun_ivard
    I have a program in which I need to store a Class object into memory by casting it into String. Is it possible to convert the String back into the original Class so that I can use that class variables? I am doing this in JAVA. Example: test.java class hello{ public String h1; public String h2; } public class test { public static void main(String[] args) { hello h = new hello(); h.h1 = "hello"; h.h2 = "world"; String s = h.toString(); System.out.println("Print s : "+s); // Now I need to convert String s into type hello so that // I can do this: // (hello)s.h1; // (hello)s.h2; } } NOTE: this is not a homework, this is a personal project and I would be grateful if anyone can help! Thanks! Ivar

  • Splitting string to integer from single-line user input?

    - by pootzko
    I just started learning some ruby, and I want to do something like this: print "Insert two numbers: " a, b = gets.split(" ") but I want to make a and b to be integers at the same time (in the same line).. If I add .to_i to the second line (before or after split(" ")), it doesn't work... so, how should I approach this? mapping, splitting, slicing? ok, I know I could use scanf, but other than scanf, how would I do this? sorry for such a noobish question, but I just couldn't find a good enough answer only googling...

  • Adding a method to a function object at runtime

    - by Carson Myers
    I read a question earlier asking if there was a times method in Python, that would allow a function to be called n times in a row. Everyone suggested for _ in range(n): foo() but I wanted to try and code a different solution using a function decorator. Here's what I have: def times(self, n, *args, **kwargs): for _ in range(n): self.__call__(*args, **kwargs) import new def repeatable(func): func.times = new.instancemethod(times, func, func.__class__) @repeatable def threeArgs(one, two, three): print one, two, three threeArgs.times(7, "one", two="rawr", three="foo") When I run the program, I get the following exception: Traceback (most recent call last): File "", line 244, in run_nodebug File "C:\py\repeatable.py", line 24, in threeArgs.times(7, "one", two="rawr", three="foo") AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'times' So I suppose the decorator didn't work? How can I fix this?

  • passing session id via url

    I'm trying to get my script to use url session id instead of cookies. The following page is not picking up the variable in the url as the session id. I must be missing something. First page http://www.website.com/start.php ini_set("session.use_cookies",0); ini_set("session.use_trans_sid",1); session_start(); $session_id = session_id(); header("location: target.php?session_id=". $session_id ); Following page - http://www.website.com/target.php?session_id=rj3ids98dhpa0mcf3jc89mq1t0 ini_set("session.use_cookies",0); ini_set("session.use_trans_sid",1); print_r($_SESSION); print(session_id()) Result is a different session id and the session is blank. • problme with javascript map/object

    - by akshay
    I am using javascript map to store keys and values.Later on I check if specified key is present in map or not, but it sometimes gives correct result but sometimes it dont.I tried to print the map using console.log(mapname), it shows all keys, but i i try to check if some specified key is presnt sometimes it gives wrong answer. Am using following code: //following code is called n times in loop with different/same vales of x myMap : new Object(); var key = x ; //populated dynamically actually myMap[key] ="dummyval"; if(myIdMap[document.getElementById("abc").value.trim()]!=null) alert('present' ); else alert('not present'); What can be the possible problem?

  • Accessing 'data' argument of with() function?

    - by Ken Williams
    Is it possible, in the expr expression of the with() function, to access the data argument directly? Here's what I mean conceptually: > print(df) result qid f1 f2 f3 -1 1 0.0000 0.1253 0.0000 -1 1 0.0098 0.0000 0.0000 1 1 0.0000 0.0000 0.1941 -1 2 0.0000 0.2863 0.0948 1 2 0.0000 0.0000 0.0000 1 2 0.0000 0.7282 0.9087 > with(df, subset(.data, select=f1:f3)) # Doesn't work Of course the above example is kind of silly, but it would be handy for things like this: with(subset(df, f2>0), foo(qid, vars=subset(.data, select=f1:f3))) I tried to poke around with environment() and parent.frame() etc., but didn't come up with anything that worked. Maybe this is really a question about eval(), since that's how with.default() is implemented.

  • How to make HTML5 speech recognition not ask permission every time

    - by user2081044
    I have created a script that requires my microphone. It uses the HTML5 speech recognition API. Chrome asks permission every time I want to perform a speech recognition test. Javascript (partial) code that I am using: var recognition = new webkitSpeechRecognition(); recognition.continuous = true; recognition.interimResults = true; recognition.onresult = function(event) { console.log(event.results[0][0].transcript); if(event.results[0][0].transcript === 'print') { console.log(''); } }; recognition.start(); I have tried to add it into the list of exceptions in either Chrome and Flash player, but it still asks for permission. Printscreen: That message pops up everytime I click the button. Is there any way to disable Chrome for asking permission?

  • How do I determine the cause of Qt's "*** is not a valid Qt plugin" error?

    - by chadjoan
    When I print the value of errorString from my QPluginLoader object, I get this: The file 'C:/pyprojects/test/qsqlpsqld4.dll' is not a valid Qt plugin. I would like to avoid some days worth of doing the time consuming "guess-and-check" methodology that my current internet searches reveal (so far none of them seem relevant anyways). Is there a way for me to get the Qt library itself to tell me why it is refusing to load this plugin? I don't want to guess; I want to know. Context: I am on Windows 7 running Qt 4.8.5 (32-bit, MinGW) and the qsqlpsqld4.dll file is also 32-bit and compiled with MinGW. I am using PySide to interact with Qt.

  • How to get REALLY fast python over a simple loop

    - by totallymike
    I'm working on a spoj problem, INTEST. The goal is to specify the number of test cases (n) and a divisor (k), then feed your program n numbers. The program will accept each number on a newline of stdin and after receiving the nth number, will tell you how many were divisible by k. The only challenge in this problem is getting your code to be FAST because it k can be anything up to 10^7 and the test cases can be as high as 10^9. I'm trying to write it in python and having trouble speeding it up. Any ideas? import sys first_in = raw_input() thing = first_in.split() n = int(thing[0]) k = int(thing[1]) total = 0 i = 0 for line in sys.stdin: t = int(line) if t % k == 0: total += 1 print total

  • Partially flattening a list

    - by alj
    This is probably a really silly question but, given the example code at the bottom, how would I get a single list that retain the tuples? (I've looked at the itertools but it flattens everything) What I currently get is: ('id', 20, 'integer') ('companyname', 50, 'text') [('focus', 30, 'text'), ('fiesta', 30, 'text'), ('mondeo', 30, 'text'), ('puma', 30, 'text')] ('contact', 50, 'text') ('email', 50, 'text') what I would like is a single level list like: ('id', 20, 'integer') ('companyname', 50, 'text') ('focus', 30, 'text') ('fiesta', 30, 'text') ('mondeo', 30, 'text') ('puma', 30, 'text') ('contact', 50, 'text') ('email', 50, 'text') def getproducts(): temp_list=[] product_list=['focus','fiesta','mondeo','puma'] #usually this would come from a db for p in product_list: temp_list.append((p,30,'text')) return temp_list def createlist(): column_title_list = ( ("id",20,"integer"), ("companyname",50,"text"), getproducts(), ("contact",50,"text"), ("email",50,"text"), ) return column_title_list for item in createlist(): print item Thanks ALJ

  • C++ performance, optimizing compiler, empty function in .cpp

    - by Dodo
    I've a very basic class, name it Basic, used in nearly all other files in a bigger project. In some cases, there needs to be debug output, but in release mode, this should not be enabled and be a NOOP. Currently there is a define in the header, which switches a makro on or off, depending on the setting. So this is definetely a NOOP, when switched off. I'm wondering, if I have the following code, if a compiler (MSVS / gcc) is able to optimize out the function call, so that it is again a NOOP. (By doing that, the switch could be in the .cpp and switching will be much faster, compile/link time wise). --Header-- void printDebug(const Basic* p); class Basic { Basic() { simpleSetupCode; // this should be a NOOP in release, // but constructor could be inlined printDebug(this); } }; --Source-- // PRINT_DEBUG defined somewhere else or here #if PRINT_DEBUG void printDebug(const Basic* p) { // Lengthy debug print } #else void printDebug(const Basic* p) {} #endif

  • Where should the line between property and method be?

    - by Catskul
    For many situations it is obvious whether something should be a property or a method however there are items that might be considered ambiguous. Obvious Properties: "name" "length" Obvious Methods: "SendMessage" "Print" Ambiguous: "Valid" / "IsValid" / "Validate" "InBounds" / "IsInBounds" / "CheckBounds" "AverageChildValue" / "CalcAverageChildValue" "ColorSaturation" / "SetColorSaturation" I suppose I would lean towards methods for the ambiguous, but does anyone know of a rule or convention that helps decide this? E.g. should all properties be O(1)? Should a property not be able to change other data (ColorSaturation might change R,G,B values)? Should it not be a property if there is calculation or aggregation? Just from an academic perspective, (and not because I think it's a good idea) is there a reason not to go crazy with properties and just make everything that is an interrogation of the class without taking an argument, and everything that can be changed about the class with a single argument and cant fail, a property?

  • Programmatic binding of accelerators in wxPython

    - by Inductiveload
    I am trying to programmatically create and bind a table of accelerators in wxPython in a loop so that I don't need to worry about getting and assigning new IDs to each accelerators (and with a view to inhaling the handler list from some external resource, rather than hard-coding them). I also pass in some arguments to the handler via a lambda since a lot of my handlers will be the same but with different parameters (move, zoom, etc). The class is subclassed from wx.Frame and setup_accelerators() is called during initialisation. def setup_accelerators(self): bindings = [ (wx.ACCEL_CTRL, wx.WXK_UP, self.on_move, 'up'), (wx.ACCEL_CTRL, wx.WXK_DOWN, self.on_move, 'down'), (wx.ACCEL_CTRL, wx.WXK_LEFT, self.on_move, 'left'), (wx.ACCEL_CTRL, wx.WXK_RIGHT, self.on_move, 'right'), ] accelEntries = [] for binding in bindings: eventId = wx.NewId() accelEntries.append( (binding[0], binding[1], eventId) ) self.Bind(wx.EVT_MENU, lambda event: binding[2](event, binding[3]), id=eventId) accelTable = wx.AcceleratorTable(accelEntries) self.SetAcceleratorTable(accelTable) def on_move(self, e, direction): print direction However, this appears to bind all the accelerators to the last entry, so that Ctrl+Up prints "right", as do all the other three. How to correctly bind multiple handlers in this way?

  • mutliprocessing.Pool.add_sync() eating up memory

    - by Austin
    I want to use multithreading to make my script faster... I'm still new to this. The Python doc assumes you already understand threading and what-not. So... I have code that looks like this from itertools import izip from multiprocessing import Pool p = Pool() for i, j in izip(hugeseta, hugesetb): p.apply_async(number_crunching, (i, j)) Which gives me great speed! However, hugeseta and hugesetb are really huge. Pool keeps all of the _i_s and _j_s in memory after they've finished their job (basically, print output to stdout). Is there any to del i, and j after they complete?

  • PHP CURL works fine from localhost not from server

    - by Joby Joseph
    I have 2 servers, srv1 and srv2. All client sites are stored in srv2 and all authentication details are stored in srv1. Each time a client site is loaded, the site in srv2 sends a curl request to srv1 to validate. I am always getting bool(false) when I print the curl response using var_dump. But if I am requesting for validation from my local wamp installation(localhost) it is perfectly returning the response. According to my understanding srv2 is blocking srv1 ip or something like that. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. The solution is really urgent as all my clients are stuck with invalid authorization message. Edit: Now when i tested curl in srv2 is working fine i think. Because I am able to fetch other websites without any trouble. But I am not able to fetch data from srv1. I can view a page from srv1 through browser url but not through curl.

  • Cannot running next process when a variable save no value

    - by bruine
    First, I wanna compare between 2 tables tb_wrapper and tb_summary to get the data in the tb_wrapper that doesn't exist in the tb_summary then save in $link. If I don't get the same data, I want to print the result $link. When I don't get the not same data, I want it to go to another process. Here's the code : $q2 = mysql_query(" SELECT a.doc_url FROM tb_wrapper a LEFT JOIN tb_summary b ON a.doc_name = b.doc_summ WHERE b.doc_summ IS NULL"); while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($q2)){ $link = $row['doc_url']; if (!$link){ include 'next_process.php'; } else { print_r($link); } } it doesn't work. When I don't get the not same data or $link not save a value. table : CREATE TABLE tb1 (`id` int, `doc_name` varchar(100), `doc_url` varchar(50)) } CREATE TABLE tb2 (`id` int, `doc_summ` varchar(100)) }

  • PHP returns a negative number?

    - by Legend
    I am trying to query a bittorrent tracker and am using unpack to get the list of IPs from the response. So, something like this: $ip = unpack("N", $peers); $ip_add = ($ip[1]>>24) . "." . (($ip[1]&0x00FF0000)>>16) . "." . (($ip[1]&0x0000FF00)>>8) . "." . ($ip[1]&0x000000FF); But, for some reason, I am getting the following IP addresses when I print $ip_add: 117.254.136.66 121.219.20.250 -43.7.52.163 Does anyone know what could be going wrong?

  • How do I make a defaultdict safe for unexpecting clients?

    - by ~miki4242
    Several times (even several in a row) I've been bitten by the defaultdict bug. d = defaultdict(list) ... try: v = d["key"] except KeyError: print "Sorry, no dice!" For those who have been bitten too, the problem is evident: when d has no key 'key', the v = d["key"] magically creates an empty list and assigns it to both d["key"] and v instead of raising an exception. Which can be quite a pain to track down if d comes from some module whose details one doesn't remember very well. I'm looking for a way to take the sting out of this bug. For me, the best solution would be to somehow disable a defaultdict's magic before returning it to the client.

  • xmlserializer throwing InvalidOperationException

    - by AndyC
    I have an XmlSerializer object, and I have added 2 event handlers to the UnknownElement and UnknownAttribute events, as below: XmlSerializer xs = new XmlSerialiser(typeof(MyClass)); xs.UnknownAttribute += new XmlAttributeEventHandler(xs_UnknownAttribute); xs.UnknownElement += new XmlElementEventHandler(xs_UnknownAttribute); Each of these event handlers basically do the same thing, they print out the node name or the attribute name causing the issue. But for some reason, an InvalidOperationException is getting thrown saying there is an error in the xml document with . I thought these errors would be caught by my events?
