  • Why activity result code is diffrent then I expected

    I have 2 activities. In child activity i have put something like that in onPause(): if (isFinishing()) { final Intent intent = new Intent(); intent.putExtra(SOME_DATA, value); setResult(RESULT_OK, intent); Log.i("test", "Result set to RESULT_OK"); } In parent activity i check resultCode when child activity is destroyed, and this is what i have noticed: If i destroy child activity by some action (in some condition i invoke finish()), then resultCode is RESULT_OK But when i destroy by pressing return key (i works only in emulator so its ESC) who kills activity, then resultCode read in parent onActivityResult method equals 0 (RESULT_CANCELD). "test" log read in each case is the same.

    T4 has existed for several years in Visual Studio, but doesn't get a lot of attention. However, for those that know it, there seems to be some very creative and useful purposes. I am researching some different ways that T4 is used, and I would appreciate to hear how YOU may have used it for real life scenarios. I am primarily interested in non-standard and creative uses. Some interesting examples: Phil Haack uses T4 to create static CSS files from .less To Generate WPF and Silverlight Dependency Properties using T4 Templates Note: I realize this is a discussion-oriented question, but the answers could be helpful to others.     I'm playing around with Microsoft's CodeContracts and encountered a problem I was unable to solve. I've got a class with two constructors: public Foo (public float f) { Contracts.Require(f > 0); } public Foo (int i) : this ((float)i) {} The example is simplified. I don't know how to check the second constructor's f for being 0. Is this even possible with Contracts?

  • unittest in python: ignore an import from the code I want to test

    I have a python program that imports pythoncom (and uses pythoncom.CoCreateInstance from it). I want to create a unittest for the program logic without it importing pythoncom (so I can run the test on Linux as well). What options are there? Can I do it without modifying the system under test? What I found so far: sys.modules["pythoncom"] = "test" import module_that_imports_pythoncom My problem with it is if I have: from pythoncom.something import something I'll get: ImportError: No module named something.something And sys.modules["something.something"] or sys.modules["pythoncom.something.something"] doesn't work. Any ideas?

I have testing if the page is recognizing the script using the alert function, but the script is not executing. I think this function fills the results next to the map: function OnLocalSearch() My question is: how can I change the results displayed? Right now, by default it shows the Name of the business and the address. How can I disable the business link? And then add more text to each search result?

  • Java code compression and decompression of a string

    I am having a problem figuring how to check a string for the same characters in a row then count that same character in a row then printing it out then giving the location of the last occorance of that character count then printing it out then moving to the next character in the string that is different then the previous character and the program is case sensitive. So the input could be: aaaaAAAbbbddccc How would I compress this string to: a4A3b3d2c3 ? and then decompress it?

  • Problem running firefox built from source (on Ubuntu 9.10)

    The title of the question sums it up pretty well. I've downloaded the source for firefox 3.6 and built it (no errors), but when I try to run it, I get a warning that says: (firefox-bin:2857): GLib-WARNING **: g_set_prgname() called multiple times I'm not sure what to try now. Any suggestions? Or even a better place to ask this question? *EDIT - It's not that I only get a warning, that wouldn't bother me. The problem is that the warning is the only thing that ever happens (no firefox windows show up or anything). When I run it from the terminal, that warning shows up twice and then nothing else happens (it just hangs and I have to Ctrl-C it).

    I am evaluating user inputs as commands for my application. If the user presses Q, or q, and then hits enter, the application quits and execution terminates. Is there a proper context, or best practices on how to do that? I do not have any resources to release, or anything like that. Should I just use System.exit(0);? Is there a recommended way to do that?   • PHP: Need a double check on an error in this small code

Can someone explain to me whats going on, I think it might be a syntax issue.
