Is there a setting or a plugin to display VCS markers on files in the project view ?
Here is what i'm talking about (Subversive/Subclipse on Eclipse):
(I am mainly asking for Subversion).
How can I tar multiple directories and also append files with some pattern like '.txt' and exclude some directories and exclude some patterns like '.exe' all into a single tar file. The main point is the number of directories are unknown(dynamic), so I need to loop through..I guess?
IMAPI2 interface IFileSystem uses COM IStream interfaces to represent file data. There is AddTree method that adds specified directory contents to IFileSystem. So AddTree must create IStream's in the process. I wonder what implementation of IStream it uses? If it uses the standard OLE implementation than we have a nasty problem because OLE streams doesn't support files bigger than 4Gb.
Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
Hi,
I maintain a subproject which is running on the project's SVN server.
I personally prefer to work with Git - the problem is that the entire community uses SVN, expects RFCs with a SVN compatible patch-file and people are familiar with SVN and send bugfixes agains that SVN repository too.
Therefore my only problem is to create patch files which are compatible with Git and SVN at the same time.
Is there some kind of smart shell-script or even a buildin feature I'm not aware of?
Cheers
I have a lot of duplicate image files on my Windows computer, in different subfolders and with different filenames.
What Python script or freeware program would you recommend for removing the duplictes?
(I've read this similar question, but the poster there is asking about visual duplicates with differing filesizes. Mine are exact duplicates with different filenames.)
The only thing that I found was Manzana but it crashes while I start the test executable. Can someone tell me some library which can I use to copy/delete files from and to iPhone? Or maybe a console tool which I can use as a back-end.
Is there a way using GNU Make of compiling all of the C files in a directory into separate programs, with each program named as the source file without the .c extension?
Is there a free or open source library to read Excel files (.xls) directly from a C# program?
It does not need to be too fancy, just to select a worksheet and read the data as strings. So far, I've been using Export to Unicode text function of Excel, and parsing the resulting (tab-delimited) file, but I'd like to eliminate the manual step.
I would like to create a cron job that uploads files from a directory on my computer to my FTP server. I would like it to do it daily at midnight. I know pretty much nothing about cron, so I apologize if I sound stupid!

Hi all,
In my application,I need to load different .xib in different tableView cells depending upon the category of data which I'm getting from parser. I wanted to ask that is it possible to create different .xibs belonging to same class as it'll reduce the load as I have almost 13 categories so 13 .xib files.
Thanks in advance.
I am trying to patch dmenu with the files provided here: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=27334
I do not know how to do it, I've read that I should do patch file-to-patch the-path, but in the patch provided there is more than one file involved. I've tried patching manually but I failed, it will not compile.
I'm storing my files in the database and need to download a file when button clicked.
i can get the File content (Binary) in the action method. But how to return it as a file to the user?
I want excel files on a website to open in Excel when clicked, not get saved on desktop, or get opened embedded in a browser etc. Now obviously it all depends on how everything is configured for each user, but what's the best Content-Type and other settings to achieve just that most of the time?
I have a set of rollover .trc files recorded with Sql Profiler.
mytrace.trc
mytrace_1.trc
mytrace_2.trc
mytrace_3.trc
I can import the first one using this command:
use [my-database]
SELECT * INTO trace_folder
FROM::fn_trace_gettable('C:\mytrace.trc', 4)
However, this only appears to load the first file, not all four.
How do I rename a file after is has been uploaded and saved?
My problem is that I need to parse information about the files automatically in order to come up with the file name the file should be saved as with my application, but I can't access the information required to generate the file name till the record for the model has been saved.
Here's a window for configuring artifacts:
The problem is that "Web facet" is fully exploded to WEB-INF (actually this facet creates its own WEB-INF, but 2 folders are being merged after all).
So, I have all my jsp-files inside WEB-INF while I want them to be outside WEB-INF.
What do I do wrong?
Alright, so I'm working on programming my own installer in C#, and what I'd like to do is something along the lines of put the files in the .exe, so I can do
File.Copy(file, filedir);
Or, if this isn't possible, is there another way of doing what I am attempting to do?
Thank you in advance.

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2042342/network-path-and-variables-in-python/2042376
The only difference is my network drive has a password protect with user name and password .
I need to copy files to a samba share using python and verify it.
if i manually login in then the code works but without logging in the shutil command does not work

Hi,
In one of my application I'm using the WebClient class to download files from a web server. Depending on the web server sometimes the application download millions of documents. It seems to be when there are lot of documents, performance vise the WebClient doesn't scale up well.
Also it seems to be the WebClient doesn't immediately close the connection it opened for the WebServer even after it successfully download the particular document.
I would like to know what other alternatives I have.
Thanks,
Shamika
I need to download everything from an FTP server to hosting on a different server. I have shell access only to the server I'm downloading the files to. How, using the Linux FTP comnand, can I download every file, creating the directories needed for them in the process?
We have multiple maven projects depending on on our own common libraries.
When we upgrade a library it would be useful to quickly find out which projects have a dependency on the library (and might need to use the new version)
Obviously I can manually look in all the pom files or write a script to do it but this is less than ideal.
Are there any tools that provide this functionality. e.g. a hudson plugin, Nexus, artifactory etc?
is there a way i can cache all required application files on the local computer for speed without any disruption (at least those that can be run locally)?

When creating a new .resx file anywhere in my solution, I would like the following properties to be other than the default:
Copy to Output Directory: Copy if newer
Custom Tool namespace: Booking.Resources
Access Modifier: public
Is there any way I can change the default Visual Studio behavior on creation of these files, so I don't have to make the above changes manually each time?
