Annoyingly, because Subversion stores duplicates of each file in its .svn/text-base/ directories my simple searches end up getting lots of duplicate results.     I'm using two bindings TCP and HTTP. I want to give mex data on both bindings. What I want is that the mexHttpBinding only exposes the HTTP services while the mexTcpBinding exposes TCP services only. Or is this possible that I access stats service only from HTTP binding and the eventLogging service from TCP? For Example: For TCP I should only have net.tcp://localhost:9001/ABC/mex net.tcp://localhost:9001/ABC/eventLogging For HTTP http://localhost:9002/ABC/stats http://localhost:9002/ABC/mex When I connect with any of the base address (using the WCF Test Client) I'm able to access all the services? Like when I connect with net.tcp://localhost:9001/ABC I'm able to use the services which are offered on the HTTP binding.   • Problem loading Oracle client libraries when running in a NAnt build

    I am trying to use dbdeploy to manage Oracle schema changes. I can run it successfully from the command line to get it to generate my change scripts, but when I try to execute it via the dbdeploy NAnt task running through TeamCity, I get an error: System.Data.OracleClient requires Oracle client software version 8.1.7 or greater. I do have the Oracle 10.2.0.2 client software installed. It's the first entry in the system path, and the dbdeploy.exe app is able to successfully negotiate an Oracle connection. The dbdeploy code dynamically loads the System.Data.OracleClient assembly, which in-turn tries to use the Oracle client bits to talk to the database. This is what is failing in my NAnt environment.     As the title says, I am getting: Invalid length for a Base-64 char array. I have read about this problem on here and it seems that the suggestion is to store ViewState in SQL if it is large. I am using a wizard with a good deal of data collection so chances are my ViewSate is large. But, before I turn to the "store-in-DB" solution, maybe somebody can take a look and tell me if I have other options?     Hi, So I am using Zend frameworks Gdata extension to parse xml data from google base. http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.gdata.gbase.html Working fine minus one damn important thing I cant seem to parse, the link to the actual page, because there are two elements and its returned as an array. Anyways Ive tried vardumping the array but what comes out didnt help me figure out what was going on any better. So heres the specifics of the issue. echo $entry->title->text."<br />".$entry->id->text."<br />".$entry->content->text."<br />".$entry->author[0]->name."<br />"; (the above code works fine). Now according to the documentation I thought I could get the link href by going $entry-link-text or $entry-link-url (tried both, neither worked). Anyways, Im not sure whether this is zend specific or just a gap in my OOP understanding, but any help would be much appreciated!

  • Feasibility of using Silverlight for web and windows client with common code base for data intensive

    Hello. Recently in a conversation, someone suggested me to make use of Silverlight if I am targeting a web client and a windows client for the same application. This will cut down my effort for supporting the contrast in both presentation layers. Mine is a product, that will be deployed in enterprises. Both web and windows clients are desirable. With the above context, I have few queries: Is it advisable to adopt the recommended approach and whether this approach is becoming a trend? Besides, some configuration & deployment tweaking, will this significantly reduce effort on the presentation layer? Is there a possibility that my future prospects (for this product) will resist Silverlight footprint? Will I be able to make use of the ASP.Net MVC pattern? Will there be any performance implication for the web client? Will Silverlight support incremental load of controls? If my back-end includes SSRS, will I be able to harness all its front end features with Silverlight? Will I be able to support additional devices with same code base in future? Mine is a very data intensive application from both, data entry and reporting perspective. Is it advisable to use 3rd party controls (like Telerik) for improved user experience and developer productivity? Are their any professional quality open source Silverlight controls (library) available? Further, I seek information of best practices in the context I shared above.

    For my semester project, my team and I are supposed to make a .jar file (library, not runnable) that contains a game development framework and demonstrate the concepts of OOP. Its supposed to be a FRAMEWORK and another team is supposed to use our framework and vice-versa. So I want to know how we should start. We thought of several approaches: 1. Start with a plain class public class Enemy { public Enemy(int x, int y, int health, int attack, ...) { ... } ... } public class UserDefinedClass extends Enemy { ... } 2. Start with an abstract class that user-defined enemies have to inherit abstract members public abstract class Enemy { public Enemy(int x, int y, int health, int attack, ...) { ... } public abstract void draw(); public abstract void destroy(); ... } public class UserDefinedClass extends Enemy { ... public void draw() { ... } public void destroy() { ... } } 3. Create a super ABC (Abstract Base Class) that ALL inherit from public abstract class VectorEntity { ... } public abstract class Enemy extends VectorEntity { ... } public class Player extends VectorEntity { ... } public class UserDefinedClass extends Enemy { ... } Which should I use? Or is there a better way?
