    I'm running Node.js 0.10.21. I tried both CoffeeScript 1.6.3 and master both with and without require('coffee-script/extensions').     Is there a way to reassign Makefile variable value inside of the target body? What I am trying to do is to add some extra flags for debug compilation: %.erl: %.beam $(ERLC) $(ERLFLAGS) -o ebin $< test: clean debug_compile_flag compile compile_test debug_compile: $(ERLCFLAGS) += -DTEST So if I invoke test target I would like to clean up my environment, add some new flags (like -DTEST to the existing ones), compile the whole code once again (first sources, then test modules). I do not want to copy/paste the code for compiling with some new flags set since there is a lot of logic put here and there. Is there some easy way to redefine the variable value so I can reuse the existing code?

As soon as I try to redirect the page in the preRenderView method of the bean (just uncomment the code in the method), using handleNavigation() the bean is created again in the next view instead of using the allready created instance.     I have a sql file test.sql used to run some SQL (create object / update / delete / insert) that can look like this CREATE TABLE test_dbi1 ( test_dbi_intr_no NUMBER(15) , test_dbi_name VARCHAR2(100); UPDATE mytable SET col1=1; CREATE TABLE test_dbi2 ( test_dbi_intr_no NUMBER(15) , test_dbi_name VARCHAR2(100); Usually, i would just use SQLPLUS (from within Perl) to execute this test.sql using this command : @test.sql Is there a way to do the same thing, using DBI in Perl ? So far, i found DBI can only execute one statement at a time, and without the ";" at the end.

    I'm currently doing integration testing on a live database and I have the following sql statement: var date = DateTime.Parse("01-01-2010 20:30:00"); var result = datacontext.Repository<IObject>().Where(r => r.DateTime > date).First(); Assert.IsFalse(result.Finished); I need to test if the results retrieved from the statement, where the given date is less then the date of the object, have Finished set to False. I do not know how many results I get back and currently I'm getting the first object of the list and check if that object has Finished set to false. I know testing only the first item of the list is not valid testing, as a solution for that I could iterate through the list and check all items on Finished, but putting logic in a Test is kinda going against the concept of writing 'good' tests. So my question is: Does anyone have a good solution of how to properly test the results of this list?

  • Pre-load audio files at the client-side for later use

    I'm building an online test which implements audio (mp3) using the native audio player (i.e. non Flash-based). The test shows one question at a time and loads each subsequent question asynchronously. Some questions have an accompanying audio file, others don't, and the audio files can be several MB in size. So what I'm hoping to do is to preload the audio files client-side at the start of the test and then move these into place when the relevant question comes up. So far I've tried loading an audio file into a QuickTime player, then when that question comes up I use jQuery's clone(true) method to copy this into a part of the page which is displayed. However, when I do this the QuickTime player has to reload the audio file from source. Same is true for Windows Media Player. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can preload the audio client-side and then call it forward when needed?

I created a unit test to test the minlength validation, and I found out that the validation is not working. $character = new Character(); $character->set('name', 'Dw'); $t->ok(! $character->isValid()); # This test failed Can someone tell me what might be the problem here?     Hello. I wrote a test dll in C++ to make sure things work before I start using a more important dll that I need. Basically it takes two doubles and adds them, then returns the result. I've been playing around and with other test functions I've gotten returns to work, I just can't pass an argument due to errors. My code is: import ctypes import string nDLL = ctypes.WinDLL('test.dll') func = nDLL['haloshg_add'] func.restype = ctypes.c_double func.argtypes = (ctypes.c_double,ctypes.c_double) print(func(5.0,5.0)) It returns the error for the line that called "func": ValueError: Procedure probably called with too many arguments (8 bytes in excess) What am I doing wrong?     I am using Eclispe with Google plugin for AppEngine and GWT. Recently I created a test GWT module, but eventually it has been deleted from the project and I can not find any sign of it in the project now. However, whenever I run the web app locally, I get in console the following message: Loading modules com.piq.exemity.Test [ERROR] Unable to find 'com/XXXXXX/Test.gwt.xml' on your classpath; could be a typo, or maybe you forgot to include a classpath entry for source? Has anyone got any idea where it can be hiding?

    I'm trying to load a simple Xml file (encoded in UTF-8): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Test/> And save it with MSXML in vbscript: Set xmlDoc = CreateObject("MSXML2.DOMDocument.6.0") xmlDoc.Load("C:\test.xml") xmlDoc.Save "C:\test.xml" The problem is, MSXML saves file in ANSI instead of UTF-8 (despite the original file being encoded in UTF-8). The MSDN docs for MSXML says that save() will write the file in whatever encoding the XML is defined in but this is clearly not working at least on my machine. How can MSXML save in UTF-8?

My question is how can I receive this text in the caller side? Any help will be much appreciated.

  • Plone, behaviour of URLs

    The situation is the following: I created a site with Plone, developed, used, but behind a test URL. Now it has to be published, but the test URL is not appropriate and I don't want to move the site. I think, if I use a redirect, it won't be appear in the URL-bar, only in the case of site start page. Am I wrong? (The test URL should not be used, because it will be a "semi-official" site.) What do you suggest to do? As far as I can see Plone uses absolute URLs everywhere. I can add relative URLs, but if I create a new page, a new event, etc., then they have absolute URLs on other automatically generated inner pages. Is there any way to convert these URLs to relative paths? Is there any setting possibilty where only a checkbox changes this default setting?

    I'm having a problem comparing strings in a Unit Test in C# 4.0 using Visual Studio 2010. This same test case works properly in Visual Studio 2008 (with C# 3.5). Here's the relevant code snippet: byte[] rawData = GetData(); string data = Encoding.UTF8.GetString(rawData); Assert.AreEqual("Constant", data, false, CultureInfo.InvariantCulture); While debugging this test, the data string appears to the naked eye to contain exactly the same string as the literal. When I called data.ToCharArray(), I noticed that the first byte of the string data is the value 65279 which is the UTF-8 Byte Order Marker. What I don't understand is why Encoding.UTF8.GetString() keeps this byte around. How do I get Encoding.UTF8.GetString() to not put the Byte Order Marker in the resulting string?

    I am trying to figure out why a regex with negative look ahead fails when the "single line" option is turned on. Example (simplified): <source>Test 1</source> <source>Test 2</source> <target>Result 2</target> <source>Test 3</source> This: <source>(?!.*<source>)(.*?)</source>(?!\s*<target) will fail if the single line option is on, and will work if the single line option is off. For instance, this works (disables the single line option): (?-s:<source>(?!.*<source>)(.*?)</source>(?!\s*<target)) My understanding is that the single line mode simply allows the dot "." to match new lines, and I don't see why it would affect the expression above. Can anyone explain what I am missing here?
