    Hi, I want to write a simple text editor for iPhone with syntax highlighting support for c,c++. But the problem is, I dont't know how to do this. The first solution I was thinking about, was to go over the text and highlight keywords when the value of the UITextView has changed, but I think that if I got more than 1000lines of code that doesn't work very well.     I have an NSTableView in my user interface, where new rows are added when the user presses a button or keyboard shortcut. Each row consists of two text cells (the table is comprised of two columns). Is there a way to immediately select the first text cell of a new row which is added? So, basically, I would like the user to be able to press the button, adding a new row to the table and then having it editable straight away.

It's not one I've written myself but the spec for the delimited text file is set up properly and the file imports properly using the wizard.     I'm using enterprise library for logging web page events. Because page is load balanced I have to store logs in database on different server (requirement). Sadly, I found storing around 20 entries per page request is very slow (adds additional ~10s). Can anybody explain why this happens and how to fix it. P.S. I'm using default pooling settings in logging database connection string.

    Playing around with factories, which I read weren't supposed to hit the database, allowing you to avoid having your controller specs interacting with the DB. But when I fire up the Rails console in test and use a factory to create a sample user, I noticed an actual user gets created in the database. Huh? (Using Rails 2.3.8 and Factory Girl 1.2.3.)

    I have a partial view that I use for editing and creating my models. When a user is editing the model, I would like a particular drop-down to be rendered as text as I don't want them to change it. A read-only drop-down would suffice, but I'd prefer text. I'm thinking I can accomplish this via an extension method, but I'm not quite sure how to get started. Any help would be appreciated!
