  • Problems with unique links in database: www.doamin/ or domain/

    In my website everybody can send some links to other nice websites. All links in my database must by unique, but some links are with 'www.' prefix, and some without. Some ends for '/', some not. For example: |http://www.domain.com |http://domain.com |http://domain.com |http://domain.com/ and other problems can be with https or http. I know that I should change address before saving to database, but what standard I should use?

    I read some AJAX-Form tutorial like this. The tag form is used in HTML code. However, I believed that it is not necessary. Since we send HTTP request through XmlHttpRequest, the sent data can be anything, not necessary input in form. So, is there any reason to have form tag in HTML for AJAX application?

    So I have to send a java project to someone outside our company who has no experience with java and they need to compile it. Is there an easy way to do it on the windows command line that does not require writing out lists of the files? Personally I think javac should be smart enough to handle javac * when in the folder just under the root of the package hierarchy. Is there anything in this ballpark?

    Hi, I made this link in order to destroy a comment :   <%= link_to 'Destroy Comment', [comment.post, comment], :confirm => 'Are you sure?', :method => :delete %> this suppose to send to the destroy action in the comments_controller. the problem is that it searches for the 'show' action, Instead of the 'destroy' action : Unknown action The action 'show' could not be found for CommentsController Do you think you know why it does that? So i want to turn off netflow(but don't want to this,monitoring is highly important for me), but it will give me only 10-20% ?     I have a wall application using WebRTC DataChannels. In the code I've managed to work out the connection, but I'm not getting notified when a peer disconnects.
