    Hi. I get from another class string that must be converted to char. It usually contains only one char and that's not a problem. But control chars i receive like '\n' or '\t'. Is there standard methods to convert this to endline or tab char or i need to parse it myself?

Do any other method able to solve this problem?

  • odd resharper indentation formatting for object intializers

    For some strange reason when I have nested object intializers it always gets the last '}' wrong. It is not indented at all as shown in the following example: namespace MyNameSpace { internal static class MyClass { static MyClass() { var bla = new Bla { Name = "Bla" }; bla.Blub = new Blub { Name = "Blub", Blap = new Blap { Name = "Blap", Visible = true }, Blob = new Blob { Name = "Blob" }, Blib = new Blib { Blep = new Heater { Name = "Bleb" }, Id = 1, Blap = new Blap { Name = "Blap" } } // <---- wrong !!! }; } } } Any idea what I can do against it ?

    I have the following code: foreach (var control in this.Controls) { } I want to do something like control.Hide() in there. But the items in the this.Controls collection are not of type Control (they are Object). I can't seem to remember the safe way to cast this to call hide if it is really of type Control and do nothing otherwise. (I am a transplanted delphi programmer and I keep thinking something like control is Control.)

The problem is, when the dispatcher tries to call this handler, it loses it's original context. How can I bind the handler with the context of the object that calls the attach function without passing this as an argument and using that?

    Hey, I know whats the difference between a NULL value and an empty string ("") value, but if I want to get a value by using the OR keyword, I get no result for a NULL value The table i want to query looks like this: titles_and_tags +----+----------+------+ | id | title | tag | +----+----------+------+ | 1 | title1 | NULL | | 2 | title2 | tag1 | | 3 | title3 | tag2 | +----+----------+------+ The query i use looks like this: select * from `titles_and_tags` WHERE `title` LIKE "title" AND `tag` = "tag1" OR `tag` IS NULL So i want to get here a rows (id: 1,2), BUT this results 0 rows.
