    I'm trying to find the best version control strategy for my workflow with Drupal. I have multiple sites per install and I'm pretty sure I'll have a separate repository for each website. As far as I know, the VCSs worth considering are: SVN Bazaar (bzr) Git Mercurial (hg) I know how these compare to each other in general, but want to learn their merits/demerits for Drupal. If you're using (or have used) any of these for Drupal: What is your setup? What about the VCS you chose works well for managing Drupal projects? What doesn't?

    Hello I am looking for a decent web application that performs project management, and am hoping you guys can help me out. Requirements: Free, open source software. Runs from a Linux server (no ASP.NET). Git integration. GitHub integration is a plus. Tracks bugs and feature requests. Version tracking/scheduling, ie being able to say that a feature will be implemented for version X. I was looking at Redmine, but I don't know about the last item. Is there a plugin for that, perhaps?

  • Is Perforce's C++ P4API thread-safe?

    Simple question - is the C++ API provided by Perforce thread-safe? There is no mention of it in the documentation. By "thread-safe" I mean for server requests from the client. Obviously there will be issues if I have multiple threads trying to set client names and such on the same connection. But given a single connection object, can I have multiple threads fetching changelists, getting status, translating files through a p4 map, etc.?

The only other way I could do it was to have a second nested if statement and break it apart...not pretty :(

  • Media Disconnected Networking Issue

    After rearranging my physical network in my apartment my Windows Vista machine can no longer connect to the network. I have tested all of the cabling by connecting other devices and everything is fine. I'm able to connect using other computers, I've even tested a brand new ethernet adapter and the network status still reads "media disconnected". I have no idea where to go from here. My setup is as follows: Cable modem - router - hardwired ethernet cable to computer.

  • Finding records when using has_many through associations

    I have two models, Worker and Project, and they are connected with has_many through association. I manage to find all the projects which are related to a specific worker by writing the following code: worker=Worker.find_by_id("some_id") worker.projects but I want the projects that I get to be only active projects (in the project model I have a status field) I tried to do something like worker.projects(:status_id=>'active') but it didn’t work for me. Can somebody tell me how I can do this?

    I'd like to add a --version command line option to my python application that will show the right version depending on the tagged status of the command: If the file comes from a version whose short hex ID was abcdef01 that was tagged TAG, --version should show this: MyApp Version TAG (abcdef01) If the file comes from the tip, --version should show this: MyApp (tip) If the file comes from an arbitrary, untagged revision abcdef02, --version should show this: MyApp (development, abcdef02) Is this possible?     What I am trying to do is: (programmatically) Update status where id is something, if no rows where updated, give error: we cannot find the record with id something, otherwise give message success. Here I am using mysql_affected_rows() to know if a row was updated or not, but it always return 1, so the user gets a success message, even though there was no row updated. Can anyone tell me what could it be?
