  • ASP.NET Rendering XMl/XSLT direct from the web - problem with non virtual path

    Hi, i have a small problem. Im using the ASP.NET Xml control and want to pass it a url to a rss feed and a stylesheet - so that i can style the rss myself on my website. When applying the full web path to the xml control (http://www.myserver.com/myfeed.rss) i get an exception telling me that the document source is not a valid virtual path. What am i doing wrong? I would hate to download the file before showing it...

The input is HTML page and path to CSS files etc. I want to take e.g. H1 tag and found what will be the CSS for it.     I have the following asp.net mvc 3 razor code, where "item" is my model, <a @if (item.Selected) { class="youarehere" } href="@item.Href" title="@item.Title">@item.Description</a> This code throws up the following error, CS1513: } expected which is pointing to class="youarehere" portion of the code, but I could not figure out why. Could someone help point out how to fix it please? Thank you.

    Is it possible to have a connection to LotusNotes and use it as a data source for a C# project? We use LN for email/calendar :(... and management wants a web page that would interact with the calendar. I think this can all be done within Notes, but I would much rather do it in .net.     I have a link like this <a href="#thumb" id="ctl00_allContent_btnThumb" onclick="javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$allContent$btnThumb','')"><img alt="" src="../../images/bullet-thumb.gif"></a> On Firefox it does what it supposed to. But it won't work on IE or Chrome. I know there are some questions on the subject here, but they haven't helped me. I'm guessing it's more specific since it envolves ASP.NET postback. thank you

    We have an ASP.NET application that uses SQL statements, where table names are unqualified. When compiled, it works fine, but when uncompiled, it complains and errors out, saying these tables dont' exist. (Qualified name looks like Select * from MyDatabase.mySchema.MyTable ; Unqualified like Select * from MyTable) If you try these queries on the database, by yourself, it will take only the qualified names. What's going on? I thought Compiled vs Uncompiled apps should perform the same way codewise.
