  • how do you hook up a callback event when using jquery ui tabs in ajax mode

    - by ooo
Here is my html code using jquery ui tabs. As you can see, for the third tab, i am loading remotely through a feature built into jquery ui tabs where you just put a link in and it retrieves it remotely. My one open issue is that i would like a callback method when its done retrieving /Tracker/DailyTracker. is this possible? <div id="tabs"> <ul> <li><a href="#tab1">1</a></li> <li><a href="#tab2">2</a></li> <li><a href="/Tracker/DailyTracker"><span>3</span></a></li>

  • WPF - expander Collapsed event being triggered by child controls with validation

    - by Shaboboo
I have an expander that contains an ItemsControl. The items in the itemsControl are templated, some have textboxes in them, others have checkboxes. Both have bindings that cause validation. The styling and validation is working as expected. The problem is when I first expand the expander and cause a change to either control, the expander collapses again, this is not what I want. If I repeat this a second time this does not happen. I'm not sure what is triggering this strange behaviour. I've tried setting the focus to the itemsControl when the expander expands with no luck. What is differnt the second time it's expanded? Could it be the validation? Any Ideas? XAML: <Expander Header="{Binding SubSectionName}" Padding="0" > <ItemsControl ItemsSource="{Binding ConfigSubSectionSettings}" ItemTemplateSelector="{StaticResource Settings_Selector}" /> </Expander> <!-- Templates selected by the ItemTemplateSelector --> <DataTemplate x:Key="subSection_Bool"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <TextBlock x:Name="lbl" Text="{Binding SubSectionName}" > <CheckBox x:Name="chk" IsChecked="{Binding BoolValue, ValidatesOnDataErrors=True}" VerticalAlignment="Center" Margin="2" > </StackPanel > </DataTemplate> <DataTemplate x:Key="subSection_Text"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <TextBlock x:Name="lbl" Text="{Binding SubSectionName}" /> <TextBox x:Name="txt" VerticalAlignment="Center" Text="{Binding StringValue, ValidatesOnDataErrors=True}" /> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate>

  • Migrating from VisualSVN on windows to linux based svn

    - by Jonathan
I'd like to migrate my svn repository from my local computer running windows and VisualSVN 2.1.2 to an svn app on webfaction (my Linux hosting solution). Initially I tried dumping the svn: svnadmin dump *path_to_repository* *dumpfile_name* and loading it on the Linux machine svnadmin load *dumpfile_name* I received the following error: svnadmin: Can't open file '*dumpfile_path_and_name*/format': Not a directory I found that on my Windows machine I do have a format folder under the repository. So I copied the entire repository to the Linux machine and tried: svnadmin load *path_to_repository_copy* I received the following error: svnadmin: Expected FS format between '1' and '3'; found format '4' what should I do?

  • Make an iPhone InfoButton light/dark based on color behind it

    - by Paula
How do I detect what color is under the InfoButton... so I can change the button from DARK to LIGHT? I set my view's color... but how do I tell if it's "kind of light" or "kind of dark"? Besides... I can't change the info-button from light to dark anyway. (read only) Ugh. Shouldn't Apple have some kind of a simple "cmdButton.doThisExtremelyCommonThingForMe = TRUE" statement? InfoButtons are useless if you can't even see them. (Or how would I put an image behind the button to make it stand-out more?)

  • WPF WebBrowser: How to set element click event?

    - by Ralph
I've figured out how to make everything red as soon as the page is finished loading: private void webBrowser1_LoadCompleted(object sender, NavigationEventArgs e) { var doc = (IHTMLDocument2)webBrowser1.Document; foreach (IHTMLElement elem in doc.all) { elem.style.backgroundColor = "#ff0000"; } } Now what if I want to make the element only change color when it's clicked? I see that elem has an onclick property, but it's type is dynamic so I don't know what to do with it. The documentation is pretty useless.

  • Does UIWebView support javascript-based double-click events?

    - by Eric
As usual, I'm trying to do something the easiest way possible, in this case implement a double-tap handler on a UIWebView like so: <div id="foo" ondblclick="clickHandler(this);" ... > It works fine in Safari and Firefox, and I know the code containing clickHandler is loading on the iPhone thanks to a now-annoying alert stmt at the end of loading. If I change ondblclick to onclick it works on both the device and the simulator. From reading similar queries it would seem that I need to intercept the taps in ... and then run my JavaScript code with the stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString method, but then how do I know the JS id of the target? I no like that, would rather write a pure HTML/DOM/JS solution. Or since my app is about 80% web content, should I be using phonegap instead?

    - by Albert
Hey all, Is anyone aware of some code/rules on how to capitalize the names of people correctly? John Smith Johan van Rensburg Derrick von Gogh Ruby de La Fuente Peter Maclaurin Garry McDonald (these may not be correct, just some sample names and how the capitalization could be/work) This seems like a losing battle... If anyone has some code or rules on when and how to capitalize names, let me know :) Cheers, Albert

  • Javascript event detection

    - by Ben Shelock
I can't find any good documentation on this suprisingly so I'm posting it here. What's the raw javascript equivilent to this: $(elem).click(function(){ alert(this.text()); }); All I can find is this <elem onlick="func()" /> which is not what I want, I want to be able to do it just with javascript not within the context of an element.

  • jqGrid - how to change title based on colModel sortable property

    - by Greg
When the mouse hovers over each column I'd like the tooltip to indicate whether that column is sortable. I am able to change the title attribute with something like this: $("#List .ui-th-column").each(function(i) { var isSortable = i % 2; $(this).attr('title', isSortable ? "Not Sortable" : "Click header to sort."); }); I'd like to replace the demo expression 'i % 2' with a check of the colMode's sortable property, but I can't figure out how to get the value of the colModel's sortable property. colModel: [ { name: 'Name', index: 'Name', width: 100, sortable: true }, { name: 'Note', index: 'Note', width: 200, sortable: false } ] I've tried .getGridParam and .getColProp but I don't think the syntax I'm using is correct.

  • Lightweight PHP5 based template class/system

    - by Wizzard
Hi there. Looking at using a template system for a new project, it's only a small site and don't want to use the overhead and 'complexity' of smarty. I don't really like template systems that force you to make use of another language just to make it easier for designers (apparently). Something like this http://www.namepros.com/code/517342-php5-template-class.html is what Im looking at but something which is a bit more robust and proven.

  • Change value of jquery variable based on a select box

    - by Nikos
    I have a jquery datepicker script and what I want to do is to change "minDate: 10" value by a select box. $(function() { $('#hotel').change(function() { // assign the value to a variable, so you can test to see if it is working var selectVal = $('#hotel :selected').val(); if( selectVal == "hotel_c" ) { var date = 10; } if( selectVal == "hotel_a" ) { var date = 15; } if( selectVal == "hotel_b" ) { var date = 6; } }); var dates = $('#from, #to').datepicker({ defaultDate: "+1w", changeMonth: true, dateFormat: 'yy-m-d', minDate: 10, numberOfMonths: 3, onSelect: function(selectedDate) { var option = this.id == "from" ?
