Is converting a file to a byte array the best way to save ANY file format to disk or database var binary column?
So if someone wants to save a .gif or .doc/.docx or .pdf file, can I just convert it to a bytearray UFT8 and save it to the db as a stream of bytes?
Hello everyone,
I am using SQL Server 2008 Enterprise. I met with issue which says line 9 of store procedure foo is meeting with dead lock issue. My question is how to find exactly the 9th line of the store procedure?
My confusion is because of coding format issue, how to locate 9th line correctly.
thanks in advance,

Hi,
I have a raw YUYV422 buffer with 8-bit 4:2:2 Component Y’CbCr format (Y0, Cb, Y1, Cr order).
I know that ffmpeg's PIX_FMT_YUYV422 only handle 16-bit buffers. So I am getting Bad memory error when scaling that buffer into YUV420P.
Can any one give me a clue, how can I use this buffer with ffmpeg to covert into YUV420.
Thanks,
Raghu
I have an Excel Spreadsheet that contains all my data that I need to put into an SQL Server database. I am fairly new o ASP.NET and have never had to export from Excel to SQL Server before.
My Excel spreadsheets looks like this
Trade Heading - ArtID - BusinessName - AdStyleCode - Address - Suburb
In SQL Server I have created a table named "Listings" which is in this format
intListingID - intCategoryID - BusinessName - ArtID - intAdCode -Address - Suburb
What would be the best way to export the data from Excel and then import it into SQLServer 2005.
Thanks...
Hye Guys,
I'm busy working on a time series and am trying to find the commands that allow me to insert a quarter count variable. To keep things simple, the third quarter of 1995 (date my observations start) should be quarter -2, the fourth quarter of 1995 should be -1 etc etc uptill 2006 (should be somewhere around 45 by then). My dates are in date9 format, such as 20JUN04 etc..
Anyone who can help me with the commands I need t o let this work in SAS?
Thanks
I'm trying to color individual pixels on a BufferedImage (TYPE_INT_RGB) using setRGB but I'm not for sure how to set format the RGB values I want as a single integer. Is there a method that will take 3 ints (RGB values) and return a correctly formatted integer for setRGB?
I want to calculate the time span between 2 times which I saved in a database.
So literally I want to know the length of time between the 2 values.
14:10:20 - 10:05:15 = 02:05:05
So the result would be 02:05:05.
How would I be able to achieve this using C#?
14:10:20 is the format I saved it in in my database.
I have an XML based file format that I'm using to store and load instances of objects. I'm interested in adding some scripting support to those objects so that they can respond to events.
That said, I also don't want to cripple performance. Are there any well known scripting options for Android - maybe even ones where while loading, I can pre-compile and cache the scripts?

I'm writing an identi.ca client, and seems that @reply isn't working.
After investigation I found that @ prefix is used by curl to indicate file upload, and escaping with \@reply doesn't work; curl doesn't remove the \ at the front.
I also can't format the postfields to query string, as I need to send files on that request too.
Is there any method to send both @reply and file upload in the same request?
I need to display data values in US currency format. Meaning 190.8 should display as $190.80. For some reason I cant figure out how to do this. Any advice?
I read an article around schema-less database which sounds cool. (http://bret.appspot.com/entry/how-friendfeed-uses-mysql)
But what isn't clear to me is how do they run search queries on this data? Since the data is in JSON format how do we look for it?
I'm searching for a free component or library that could convert HTML to PostScript ( .ps file format ). I'm using .Net framework 1.1. Any one have experience with situation like this ?
I am building a web site similar to Craigslist. I would like to know how to store the html formatted text (bold / italics / font size etc) in a sql 2008 database?
In order words, the user would enter their text, format it with font size, bold etc and save the information. Whats the most efficient way to store that in a database?
How can I take a string in a format such as: 2008-06-02 00:00:00.0 and convert it to: 02-Jun-2008?
Can I somehow take the original string, convert it to a Date object, then use a formatter to get the final output (rather than parsing the string myself)? Thanks!
I have two dates:
toDate (user input in MM/dd/yyyy format)

I have a view file result_view.xml that needs some variables to format an output. In controller I use $this->load->view('result_view.xml', $data); to finish the XML. Now, I also want to save this finalized XML as a file result.xml on my server. Is there a way to do that? Thanks.
So I have som data that I have converted to a string. While I have found how to attach something from the SD-card to a mail, I cant figure out how to directly convert my string to a mail-attachment without involving the SD-card. In case it holds significance, I have read some data from a database, converted it to csv-format, and now wants to attach it as a csv-file.
Cheers,
I can, on some of my systems, get my IP address (192.68.m.n format) by doing this:
addr = IPSocket::getAddress(Socket.gethostname())
...the trouble is that this only works if the name the local machine uses for itself is the name the DNS server associates with it.
How *&#( hard can it be for ruby to just return its primary interface's IP address? I have to do this in a platform-independant way or I'd just call ifconfig or ipconfig and parse it.
Hello,
I am trying to parse dates in RFC1123 format (Thu, 21 Jan 2010 17:47:00 EST).
Here is what I tried but none worked:
DateTime Date = DateTime.Parse(dt);
DateTime Date = DateTime.ParseExact(dt, "r", null);
Could you please help me out with this?
Thanks,
Ruby :)
