    So I've played some with the new, not yet final release of ASP.NET MVC framework and I find it to be very nice and elegant. However at work we are tied to Java for the time being, so I'm wondering this: is there a port of the framework out there for Java people like myself?     Hi, I created a small WPF desktop application. I am thinking about how to make my application internationalized. Is there any Language Class to research (.NET 3.5 based)? I want to load the my application language from windows region/language configuration automatically. OR. some method to switch language from my application menu list.( no additional language package installation, assume the windowns system language packages support Chinese/English/Japanese/Korea already).

  • how to get LIKE clause to work in asp.net and mssql

    Hi, I am doing a really simple query in asp.net but after I inserted the LIKE clause it stops working. Example: String sql = " SELECT * FROM Products WHERE ID = @MYID AND Name LIKE '%@MYNAME%' "; SqlCommand command = new SqlCommand(sql, cn); If I removed the LIKE it works. Hence I am thinking its to do with the '' quotes? Thanks

    I have a complex URL rewriting scheme which breaks the built in Forms Authentication ReturnUrl mechanism. I would like to grab the requested URL for later redirection away from my login.aspx. I can get this URL in Application_BeginRequest via HttpContext.Current.Request.AppRelativeCurrentExecutionFilePath. However, Session state is not available in Application_BeginRequest. How can I store this URL prior to ASP.NET redirecting me to login.aspx?

  • visual j# not working in .net 4

    I tried to convert a project that relies on the vjs runtime to vs2010, but it errors out when trying to run. It's giving the error that "Could not load file or assembly 'vjslib' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format." I reinstalled the vjs runtime, but it didn't seem to help. Is there any way to get get .net 4 to work with this? Thanks!

    I'd like the user to specify a RSS feed address and serialize the information from it. I am not interested in the XML format, but populate a strongly typed object from the XML. My question is, is there a standard that all RSS feeds support (Do all of them have date, title etc)? If so, is there a XSD that describes this. If not, how do I handle serializing a RSS feed to an object in ASP.NET?

  • Error while generating a PDF file with Excel in ASP.NET

    I have to generate an excel file and a PDF file from an asp.net application. I'm using the Interop assemblies and I can generate the excel file without any problem. But when I'm generating an pdf file with the add-in SaveAsPDFandXPS.exe I'm getting the next error: Exception HRESULT: 0x800A03EC with a debug I see the error is in the next method which is used to export de PDF file: _objWB.ExportAsFixedFormat(Excel.XlFixedFormatType.xlTypePDF, _nombreArchivo, Excel.XlFixedFormatQuality.xlQualityStandard, false, false, Type.Missing, Type.Missing, false, Type.Missing);

I've looked at several existing CRM and open source ChMS solutions but have not been satisfied with any of them. For example, it wants me to have Cache-control: no-cache="set-cookie" in addition to Cache-control: no-cache I have been setting the latter with the following line in my C# codebehind: Response.CacheControl = "no-cache"; Is there a special way to indicate both directives at once?
