    I'm familiar with printing time difference in milliseconds: long time = System.currentTimeMillis(); //do something that takes some time... long completedIn = System.currentTimeMillis() - time(); But, is there a nice way print a complete time in a specified format (eg: HH:MM:SS) either using Apache Commons or even the dreaded platform API's Date/Time objects? In other words, what is the shortest, simplest, no nonsense way to write this in Java?

    Hi, i'm trying to 'load' the following project into visual studio 2010 but im getting errors about dynamic link libraries not being found. I have manually referenced them but it doesnt like them. The project is: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/DLL/EasyHook64.aspx 2nd link down (EasyHook_2.5_Beta_Source_Code), and the project im wishing to load is EasyHook_2.5_Beta_Source_Code\Examples\ProcessMonitor The two dlls plus 1 executable i need are found in the first link (EasyHook 2.5 beta binaries) and named EasyHook.dll, EasyHook32.dll and EasyHook32svc.exe I've been trying to do this all night but i wonder whether its because im using VS2010 and .NET 4.0?? I'd be so appreciative if someone could have a go themselves just to see if its my setup or they get errors to. The error i get is: Unable to load DLL 'EasyHook32.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

    Hello Folks, I am trying to map a table frp, a SQL Server 2005 DB to a class which contains an enum: public class MyClass{ private YesNoOptional addressSetting; public YesNoOptional AddressSetting{ {get; set;} } } public enum YesNoOptional { Yes, No, Optional } This will dictate that one of three values is inserted into the corresponding column - 'Y', 'N', 'O'. This column is of type nchar(1). As a last resort I tried to specify the type as a char like so: <property name="AddressSetting" column="INT_ADDRESS_REQ" type="Char" ></property> This works a bit better, as it in it doesnt throw an error, however instead of returning the character from the table and mapping it to the enumerated type the ASCII value of the character is returned instead - so Y is represented by 89! Is there an easy way to convert a Maven execution script to a standard command line? How to run the application succesfully?

    I'm getting the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." when trying to reference a HiddenField (lvEditProjectSteps_hdnStepStatusId for future reference) from the EditItem during the OnItemUpdating event after the Update event fires in a ListView. This only occurs on the FIRST item in the ListView. I checked the source and the HTML is being rendered properly. ANY insight is appreciated! Thanks in advance...   • Salesforce consuming XML and display data in Visualforce report

    Firstly, this question requires a bit of introduction so please bear with me. The high level is that I am connecting to a outside web service which will return some XML to my apex controller. The idea is that I want to display the XML returned into a nice tabular format in a VisualForce page. The format of the XML coming back will look something like this: <Wrapper><reportTable name='table_id' title='Report Title'> <row> <Element1><![CDATA[campaign_id]]></Element1> <Element2><![CDATA[577373]]></Element2> <Element3><![CDATA[4129]]></Element3> <Element4 dataFormat='2' dataSuffix='%'><![CDATA[0.7151]]></Element4> <Element5><![CDATA[2010-04-04]]></Element5> <Element6><![CDATA[2010-05-03]]></Element6> </row> </reportTable> ... Now currently I am using the XMLdom utility class (developed by SF for XML functions) to map this data into a custom object "reportTable" which contains a list of "row" custom objects. The reason I am building it out this way is because I don't know how many elements will be in each row, nor the number of rows. The Visualforce page looks something like this: <table><apex:repeat value="{!reportTables}" var="table"> <apex:repeat value="{!table.rows}" var="row"> <tr> <apex:repeat value="{!row.ColumnValue}" var="column"> <apex:repeat value="{!column}" var="value"> <td> <apex:outputText value="{!value}" /> </td> </apex:repeat> </apex:repeat> </tr> </apex:repeat> Questions are: 1) Does this seem like a good approach to the problem? 2) Is there a simpler/better way to consume the XML besides writing my own custom objects to map VF to?   • Strong name validation failed on VB.NET Assembly

    I have a VB.Net 1.1 application works just fine after compiling in Visual Studio. However, I want to use ILMerge to combine all the referenced assemblies into a single executable just to make it easier to move around. After I send it through ILMerge and try to run it I get the error "Strong name validation failed for .exe" ..... But none of my stuff is strong named! I saw this post here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/403731/strong-name-validation-failed and tried running it through 'sn.exe -Vr .exe' but that gives me this error: ".exe does not represent a strongly named assembly" Has anyone else had this problem before? How do I fix it?

  • What is dmake actually doing when installing a new module?

    I just mangaged to install the perl/Tk module after much struggle. I realise I don't understand what dmake or make etc is actually doing. I am using strawberry perl installed at C:\strawberry. Fisrt I unpacked the module to another directory and ran perl makefile.pl which worked fine. Then I tried dmake which did not work. I guess that will be obvious to people who know how this works. When I placed the module as a sub-directory of C:\strawberry I could run perl makefile.pl, dmake, dmake test and dmake install. My guess is that dmake install is adding some executable files to the interpreter and to work the module must be in a subdirectory. Is there any article anywhere that explains what it is doing in detail?

  • Replacing xcode with macports software

    I have been trying to replace everything in xcode with stuff I can get from macports. So far, I installed xcode, then macports, then used macports to install gcc, gcc_select, gmake, elf-bintools, bintools, arm-bintools (just to be sure I replaced all the bintools), and then uninstalled all of xcode. I then linked /usr/bin/make with /opt/local/bin/gmake and used gcc_select to select gcc44--the one from macports. I also exported all the bintool executable paths into the .profile path. I was sure this would work (although I should have known better after working on it for 48 hours straight), but nothing will configure, and the log files all have the common error: :info:configure configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables I have a feeling it has something to do with libraries, but I am really not sure. I use a mac 10.5.8. If this is truely 'impossible', what parts of xcode to I need for macports to work? For example, I can uninstall the xcode folder without a problem.
