• Run Google-apps-script on Google-Spreadsheet event?

  If I create a Google apps script, can I hook it up to Google spreadsheet to run based on an event, or must I manually invoke it? I don't know if Google spreadsheet supports any events. For example: a Google app script that strikes out rows in the spreadsheet that have been marked completed by way of a column having the digit 1 beside completed rows. I would like this to run whenever a row is modified, or even when the spreadsheet is first loaded.

• [WPF] ComboBox Style problems with DisplayMemberPath

  I have a ComboBox and I have set the combo.ItemsSource property to a List object. The Book class contains two properties: "Abbreviation" and "Name". I have set the ComboBox's DisplayMemberPath to "Abbreviation" but the following style that is set on the ComboBox does not display the Abbreviation property, but instead shows "Words.Book" which is the name of the class. The ComboBox drop-down displays a list correctly (Using the specified Abbreviation property). The problem is in the selected ComboBox item, the one displayed when the ComboBox' drop-down is closed. I guess the problem is in ContentPresenter in DataTemplate but I was unable to find a successful solution. Currently the ContentPresenter's Content property is set to Content="{TemplateBinding Content} but I don't know if that's how it should be. Any ideas how to show the property specified in DisplayMemberPath on the selected item? • Finding x,y position of a datagrid / adavancedDataGrid row in Flex

  I have flex advancedDataGrid (could use dataGrid if that works better, though i like my meta-column headers), and i want to have a component popup on top of a selected row. The problem is, i can figure out how to reference an actual rendered row of a datagrid (rather than an item of the dataprovider) in order to get its position on the screen. Does anyone have any theories on how to access a "row" of a datagrid, or at least get its position? Cheers

  I have a wcf service in front of an AzMan store that passes roles and operations to clients using the following interface: [OperationContract] bool AuthenticateUser(string password, string appName); [OperationContract] string[] GetRoles(string storelocation, string appName); [OperationContract] string[] GetOperations(string storeLocation, string appName, string selectedRole); Clients connect to this service using windows authentication (but users must send their password through to reaffirm their identity). Ultimately the service delivers an array of operations that each client can perform based on their selected role. I've opened a new Silverlight Business Application and tried to understand how authentication/authorization works in this template, as well as scoured the web to find examples to how to hook my webservice to the login box already created in the template, but I am completely at a loss as how to do this! Can anyone offer any advice?

• How does mysql define DISTINCT() in reference documentation

  EDIT: This question is about finding definitive reference to MySQL syntax on SELECT modifying keywords and functions. /EDIT AFAIK SQL defines two uses of DISTINCT keywords - SELECT DISTINCT field... and SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT field) ... However in one of web applications that I administer I've noticed performance issues on queries like SELECT DISTINCT(field1), field2, field3 ... DISTINCT() on a single column makes no sense and I am almost sure it is interpreted as SELECT DISTINCT field1, field2, field3 ... but how can I prove this? I've searched mysql site for a reference on this particular syntax, but could not find any. Does anyone have a link to definition of DISTINCT() in mysql or knows about other authoritative source on this? Best EDIT After asking the same question on mysql forums I learned that while parsing the SQL mysql does not care about whitespace between functions and column names (but I am still missing a reference). As it seems you can have whitespace between functions and the parenthesis SELECT LEFT (field1,1), field2... and get mysql to understand it as SELECT LEFT(field,1) Similarly SELECT DISTINCT(field1), field2... seems to get decomposed to SELECT DISTINCT (field1), field2... and then DISTINCT is taken not as some undefined (or undocumented) function, but as SELECT modifying keyword and the parenthesis around field1 are evaluated as if they were part of field expression. It would be great if someone would have a pointer to documentation where it is stated that the whitespace between functions and parenthesis is not significant or to provide links to apropriate MySQL forums, mailing lists where I could raise a question to put this into reference. EDIT I have found a reference to server option IGNORE SPACE. It states that "The IGNORE SPACE SQL mode can be used to modify how the parser treats function names that are whitespace-sensitive", later on it states that recent versions of mysql have reduced this number from 200 to 30. One of the remaining 30 is COUNT for example. With IGNORE SPACE enabled both SELECT COUNT(*) FROM mytable; SELECT COUNT (*) FROM mytable; are legal. So if this is an exception, I am left to conclude that normally functions ignore space by default. If functions ignore space by default then if the context is ambiguous, such as for the first function on a first item of the select expression, then they are not distinguishable from keywords and the error can not be thrown and MySQL must accept them as keywords. Still, my conclusions feel like they have lot of assumptions, I would still be grateful and accept any pointers to see where to follow up on this.

  Hello all, I'm looking for a Win32 equivalent of the .Net Encoding.GetEncoding Method to be used in Delphi7. What I would like to achieve is to convert a Codepage ID (ie.: 28592) to a Codepage name (iso-8859-2 in this case).   Hello all, I have managed to get info about the currently logged in user on my webpart by using this short code; WindowsPrincipal p = Thread.CurrentPrincipal as WindowsPrincipal; string strLoggedInUser = p.Identity.Name; What I would need now, is to get info of Employeer-ID atribute from the active directory, wich I have added by following this quide over here; http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/Windows/microsoft.public.windows.server.active_directory/2005-08/msg01766.html I have found serval of quides about how to use active directory on the webpart, but they all were very complex for me to understand. And I only wish to get info about this single attribute "Employeers-ID". Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance!

There is no database connectivity problem, as the column header shows data which is coming from database. Only the detail section of the report shows nothing, neither data from database nor any static data. What is going on?

  When I use fputcsv to write out a line to an open file handle, PHP will add an enclosing character to any column that it believes needs it, but will leave other columns without the enclosures. For example, you might end up with a line like this 11,"Bob ",Jenkins,"200 main st. USA ",etc Short of appending a bogus space to the end of every field, is there any way to force fputcsv to always enclose columns with the enclosure (defaults to a ") character?
