  • Html Agility Pack: Setting an HtmlNode's Attribute Value isn't reflected in the HtmlDocument.

    - by Avi
In Html Agility Pack, when I set an attribute of an HtmlNode, should I see this in the HtmlDocument from which the node was selected? Lets say that htmlDocument is an HtmlDocument. So the simplified code looks like this: HtmlNode documentNode = htmlDocument.DocumentNode; HtmlNodeCollection nodeCollection = documentNode.SelectNodes(someXPath); foreach(var node in nodeCollection) if(SomeCondition(node)) node.SetAttributeValue("class","something"); Now, I see the class attribte of node change, but I don't see this change reflected in the htmlDocument's html.

  • Creating a border around cells with the same value.

    - by Liam
    I have a table like the one below. How can I get Excel to put borders around groups with the same number in the 4th column so that there is a border around the groups. I was thinking conditional formatting could do it but I can't think how. So I think the only option is a macro. Could anybody help? 1 64436 549419 1 2 64437 549420 1 3 64438 549421 1 4 64439 549422 1 5 64440 549423 1 6 64441 549424 1 7 64442 549425 1 8 64443 549426 1 9 64444 549427 1 10 64445 549428 1 11 64446 549429 1 12 64447 549430 1 13 64448 549431 2 14 64449 549432 2 15 64450 549433 2 16 64451 549434 2 17 64452 549435 2 18 64453 549436 2 19 64454 549437 2 20 64455 549438 2 21 64456 549439 2 22 64457 549440 4 23 64458 549441 4 24 64459 549442 5 25 64460 549443 5 26 64461 549444 5 27 64462 549445 5 28 64463 549446 5 29 64464 549447 5 30 64465 549448 6 31 64466 549449 6 32 64467 549450 6 33 64468 549451 6 34 64469 549452 6 35 64470 549453 6 36 64471 549454 6 37 64472 549455 9 38 64473 549456 9 39 64474 549457 9

  • How to convert a rectangle to TRBL CSS rect value?

    - by VLostBoy
I'm not quite sure how to put this, but here goes... The css clip attribute is defined like so: rect(top, right, bottom, left). However, I'm exploring the use of a custom Rectangle 'class' to encapsulate some operations. The rectangle class has the attributes height, width and x, y. The x and y values are encapsulated in a Point object, and the height and width are encapsulated in a Dimension object, the rectangle being a composite of a point (its top-left location) and a dimension (width and height). So far so good. I though it would be pretty simple on the basis of having the rectangles x, y, width and height values to define the css rect attribute in terms of top, right, bottom, left, but I've become hopelessly confused- I've been googling for a while, and I can't seem to find any documentation as to what the TRBL values actually are or what they represent. For example, should I be thinking in terms of co-ordinates, in which case, surely I can describe the rectangle as a css rect using the rectangles x position for Top, x position + width for Right, the rectangles height + y for Bottom and its y position for Left... but thats a load of BS, surely? Also, surely rect is actually an inset, or have I just inverted my understanding of clip? I'd appreciate some advice. What I want to be able to do is (i) Define a rectangle using x, y, width and height (ii)Express the rectangle in TRBL form so that I can manipulate a divs clipping behaviour (iii)Change x, y, width or height and recalculate in terms of TRBL and goto (ii) I appreciate there are some other factors here, and some intermediary transforms to be done, but I've confused myself pretty badly- Can anyone give me some pointers?

  • Generics limitation, or lack of skillz ?

    - by Two Shoes
I want to define the following class as such: public class CollectionAttribute<E extends Collection<T>> { private String name; private E value; public CollectionAttribute(String name, E value) { this.name = name; this.value = value; } public E getValue() { return value; } public void addValue(T value) { value.add(T); } } This won't compile (cannot resolve symbol T). If I replace the class declaration with the following: public class CollectionAttribute<E extends Collection<?>> Then I can't reference the parametrized type of the collection. Am I missing something or have I reached a limitation with generics in Java ?

  • Specifying default value for django hidden form field - bone DRY?

    - by jMyles
So let's say at the last minute (in the view) I decide I want to specify a default for a field and make it hidden, like so: form.fields['coconut'] = forms.ModelChoiceField(label="", widget=forms.HiddenInput(), queryset=swallow.coconuts.all(), initial=some_particular_coconut) My question is this: Do I really need to specify queryset here? I mean, I already know, from initial, exactly which coconut I'm talking about. Why do I also need to specify that the universe of available coconuts is the set of coconuts which this particular swallow carried (by the husk)? Is there a way I can refrain from specifying queryset? Simply omitting causes django to raise TypeError. If indeed it is required, isn't this a bit damp?

Hello, I have a templated class with a static value, like this: template <class TYPE> class A{ static TYPE value; }; in the code of a dll I assign the static value: code of DLL_1 A<float>::value = 2.0; I wish the value to be shared by all the dlls I'm using, i.e. I want that: code of DLL_2 printf("value on DLL_2 %f",A<float>::value); print out "2.0" any clues? thx

  • How can I select a value matching my input from a TypeAhead control using WWW::Mechanize?

    - by kyoob
So ordinarily the element I want to pick from a list would be populated on a page and I'd just find it and pick it. But I'm dealing with a control that doesn't populate list elements until some input has been stuck into a text box, after which it gives me a list of recommendations. For an example of the kind of list I'm talking about think of Facebook's "People, Places, and Things" search field. I want to plug a string into this text box, select the same string from the list of recommendations, and submit the form. The issue I'm having right now is I can't seem to get Mechanize to even recognize the field is there. I examine a dump of $mech->find_all_inputs and it isn't listed. Is this kind of field just beyond Mechanize's jurisdiction?

  • Can using Chronic impair your sense of time?

    - by Trip
Haha.. I'm using Chronic to parse the time users add in the Calendar. Where the code works and implements the right time, the end result is that, IF a user adds a time, then it has no date, and because it has no date, it will not show in results. Any ideas? def set_dates unless self.natural_date.blank? || Chronic.parse(self.natural_date).blank? # check if we are dealing with a date or a date + time if time_provided?(self.natural_date) self.date = nil self.time = Chronic.parse(self.natural_date) else self.date = Chronic.parse(self.natural_date).to_date self.time = nil end end unless self.natural_end_date.blank? || Chronic.parse(self.natural_end_date).blank? # check if we are dealing with a date or a date + time if time_provided?(self.natural_end_date) self.end_date = nil self.end_time = Chronic.parse(self.natural_end_date) else self.end_date = Chronic.parse(self.natural_end_date).to_date self.end_time = nil end end end Edit: Here is the time_provided? method: def time_provided?(natural_date_string) date_span = Chronic.parse(natural_date_string, :guess => false) (date_span.last - date_span.first).to_i == 1 end

  • How to obtain value of auto_increment field in Access linked to MySQL?

    - by Cruachan
I'm trying to modify and existing Access application to use MySQL as a database via ODBC with the minimal amount of recoding. The current code will often insert a new record using DAO then obtain the ID by using LastModified. This doesn't work with MySQL. Instead I'm trying to use the approach using SELECT * FROM tbl_name WHERE auto_col IS NULL Suggested for Access in the MySQL documentation. However if I set up a sample table consisting of just an id and text data field and execute this CurrentDb.Execute ("INSERT INTO tbl_scratch (DATA) VALUES ('X')") Set rst = CurrentDb.OpenRecordset("SELECT id FROM tbl_scratch WHERE id IS NULL") myid = rst!id Id is returned as null. However if I execute INSERT INTO tbl_scratch (DATA) VALUES ('X'); SELECT id FROM tbl_scratch WHERE id IS NULL; using a direct MySQL editor then id is returned correctly, so my database and approach is fine but my implementation inside Access must be incorrect. Frustratingly the MySQL documentation gives the SQL statement to retrieve the id as an example that works in Access (as it states LAST_INSERT_ID() doesn't) but gives no further details. How might I fix this?

  • Drawing up a session value within SQL query? PHP and MySQL

    - by Derek
Hi, on one of my web pages I want my manager user to view all activities assigned to them (personally). In order to do this, I need something like this: $sql = "SELECT * FROM activities WHERE manager = $_SESSION['SESS_FULLNAME']"; Now obviously this syntax is all wrong, but because I am new to this stuff, is there a way I can call up the full name from the user's session within a query? This is so that when I call up the database values to be displayed within the web page, only the activities for the manager who is logged in is displayed. For example, the activities table has a manager column of a full name entry. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

  • How can you pass GET values to another url in php? GET value forwarding

    - by gobackpacking
Ok, so I'm using Jquery's AJAX function and it's having trouble passing a URL with a http address. So I'm hoping to "get" the GET values and send them to another URL — so: a local php file begin passed GET values, which in turn forwards the GET values to another url. Maybe curl is the answer? I don't know. It's got to be a very short answer I know. pseudo code: //retrieve the GET values $var retrieve [GET] //passing it to another url send get values to url ($var, url_address)

    - by llamerr
I want to change hidden input value on div click, so i do following: $('#gallery').click(function(){ if ($('input[name=isgallery]').attr('value') == '0') { $('input[name=isgallery]').attr('value', '1') } else { $('input[name=isgallery]').attr('value', '0') } $('#filterform').attr('action',$('#filterform').attr('act')); alert('ok'); $('#filterform').submit(); } ); when it equals 0 i change it to 1 and otherwise but it did not work and following code works: $('#gallery').click(function(){ if ($('input[name=isgallery]').attr('value') == '0') { $('input[name=isgallery]').attr('value', '0') } else { $('input[name=isgallery]').attr('value', '1') } $('#filterform').attr('action',$('#filterform').attr('act')); alert('ok'); $('#filterform').submit(); } ); and also, when i delete the function at all it still works and form submits maybe i have one more handler for this div, but i can't find one you can check it on http://www.4block.org/en/museum/posters and click "gallery view" on top-right

  • What jQuery is triggered when a user selects a "drop down list" option

    - by Ankur
I want to display a different form for different selections of this drop down list: <label> <select name="type" id="type"> <option value="object" selected="selected">Object</option> <option value="number">Number</option> <option value="text">Text</option> <option value="date">Date</option> <option value="time">Time</option> <option value="geo">Geospatial</option> <option value="currency">Currency</option> </select> </label> What would be the jQuery event that is triggered when a user selects one of these options. Would the .click() event be triggered in this case as well?

  • How to pass a value between Silverlight pages for WP7?

    - by Sebastian Gray
I've got a MainPage.xaml page a Detail.xaml page. I've passed variables to the Detail.xaml from MainPage.xaml by using a static variable and referencing it in Detail.xaml (the detail page is acting like a dialog). However once I've updated the content of another object, I want to call a method in MainPage.xaml to refresh the content of that page using the updated object from the Detail.xaml page. I assume I am not using the correct paradigm for this and should probably be using MVVM or something but I'm not familiar with the implementation and was hoping there was a simple way to do this?

  • Should we avoid to use Object as the input parameter/ output value of a method?

    - by developer.cyrus
    Take Java syntax as an example, though the question itself is language independent. If the following snippet takes an object MyAbstractEmailTemplate as input argument in the method setTemplate, the class MyGateway will then become tightly-coupled with the object MyAbstractEmailTemplate, which lessens the re-usability of the class MyGateway. A compromise is to use dependency-injection to ease the instantiation of MyAbstractEmailTemplate. This might solve the coupling problem to some extent, but the interface is still rigid, hardly providing enough ?exibility to other developers/ applications. So if we only use primitive data type (or even plain XML in web service) as the input/ output of a method, it seems the coupling problem no longer exists. So what do you think? public class MyGateway { protected MyAbstractEmailTemplate template; publoc void setTemplate(MyAbstractEmailTemplate template) { this.template = template; } }

  • Jquery returns index -1 always

    - by jfreak53
    This is my index code that I use to return the buttons parent div's index: j('#optionform').index( j(this).parent() ) I'm trying to find out the DIV index of the button clicked, so I can remove the DIV. The HTML layout is like so: <form id="optionform" onsubmit="return false;"> <label><input type="checkbox" id="s_name" value="s_name"> Survey Name </label> <label><input type="checkbox" id="s_type" value="s_type"> Survey Type </label><br> Filter Results:<br> <div id="template" style="display: none;"> Column: <select id="fcolumn[]"> <option></option> <option value="s_name">Survey Name</option> <option value="s_type">Survey Type</option> </select><br> Filter Type: <select id="ftype[]"> <option></option> <option value="=">Equals</option> <option value="LIKE">Like</option> </select><br> Filter content: <input type="text" id="fcontent[]"><br> <img src="images/add.png" width="32px" onclick="addTemp(); return false;"> <img src="images/delete.png" width="32px" onclick="alert(j(this).attr('src')); remTemp(j('#optionform').index( j(this).parent() )); return false;"> </div> <div class="template" style="display: block;"> Column: <select id="fcolumn[]"> <option></option> <option value="s_name">Survey Name</option> <option value="s_type">Survey Type</option> </select><br> Filter Type: <select id="ftype[]"> <option></option> <option value="=">Equals</option> <option value="LIKE">Like</option> </select><br> Filter content: <input type="text" id="fcontent[]"><br> <img src="images/add.png" width="32px" onclick="addTemp(); return false;"> <img src="images/delete.png" width="32px" onclick="alert(j(this).attr('src')); remTemp(j('#optionform').index( j(this).parent() )); return false;"> </div> <div class="template" style="display: block;"> Column: <select id="fcolumn[]"> <option></option> <option value="s_name">Survey Name</option> <option value="s_type">Survey Type</option> </select><br> Filter Type: <select id="ftype[]"> <option></option> <option value="=">Equals</option> <option value="LIKE">Like</option> </select><br> Filter content: <input type="text" id="fcontent[]"><br> <img src="images/add.png" width="32px" onclick="addTemp(); return false;"> <img src="images/delete.png" width="32px" onclick="alert(j(this).attr('src')); remTemp(j('#optionform').index( j(this).parent() )); return false;"> </div> </form> But it always returns -1 in the index.
