    - by molleman

The north panel stays at 100px, and then there is a gap of about 100px high the whole width of the screen.

  • BlackBerry - MainScreen with labels vertical scroll

    - by pajton
I am trying to create a MainScreen with vertical scrolling. From what I've read in the documentation, MainScreen has a VerticalManager inside, so it should be possible to enable vertical scrolling only with proper construction, i.e: super(MainScreen.VERTICAL_SCROLL | MainScreen.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR); This is not working for me, however. I am creating a screen, adding a couple of LabelFields and no scrollbar, no scrolling at all. I am testing on 8900, OS 5.0. Here is the code I use: public class ExampleScreen extends MainScreen { public ExampleScreen() { super(MainScreen.VERTICAL_SCROLL | MainScreen.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR); create(); } private void add(String text) { add(new LabelField(text)); } private void create() { add("line 0"); add("line 1"); ... etc ... } } The question is am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to enable vertical scrolling with MainScreen or do I need to create a VerticalManager myself?

  • My Windows Service crashes with "the key does not exist in the appSettings configuration section"

    - by Greg
There is the same question listed under http://stackoverflow.com/questions/427007/the-key-userid-does-not-exist-in-the-appsettings-configuration-section, but unfortunately none of the answers worked in my case. All was working fine, I checked everything in and when I opened the solution again, it started crashing on the above. I cannot find any hint of what I am doing wrong. Any ideas? <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <appSettings> <add key="URI" value="http://123.123.123.123:8080/smsxml/collector" /> <add key="Provider" value="123" /> <add key="LongCode" value="+123" /> <add key="PassWord" value="123" /> </appSettings> </configuration>

  • Run a shell command with arguments from powershell script

    - by Mike Weerasinghe
Hello, I need to extract and save a some tables from a remote SQL database using bcp. I would like to write a powershell script to invoke bcp for each table and save the data. So far I have this script that creates the necessary args for bcp. However I can not figure out how to pass the args to bcp. Every time I run the script it just shows the bcp help instead. This must be something really easy that I am not getting. #commands bcp database.dbo.tablename out c:\temp\users.txt -N -t, -U uname -P pwd -S <servername> $bcp_path = "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Binn\bcp.exe" $serverinfo =@{} $serverinfo.add('table','database.dbo.tablename') $serverinfo.add('uid','uname') $serverinfo.add('pwd','pwd') $serverinfo.add('server','servername') $out_path= "c:\Temp\db\" $args = "$($serverinfo['table']) out $($out_path)test.dat -N -t, -U $($serverinfo['uid']) -P $($serverinfo['pwd']) -S $($serverinfo['server'])" #this is the part I can't figure out & $bcp_path $args

  • ASPX has image from portal.mxlogic.com

    - by codie
I have a aspx page I'm trying to (remotely) debug. It should add an image and set the src. The value seems correct if i msgbox the value that should be used for the "ImageUrl" But viewing the page there is no image and the src is: http://portal.mxlogic.com/images/transparent.gif This is a mcaffee page so is this some security thing...that is just a wild\crazy guess. Maybe i'm missing something very obvious...I did not write the code and I'm not really a aspx developer. Any ideas?? llf as requested some code... TableCell tc = new TableCell(); {code to create imgurl ... very specific to this situation} MessageBox(imgurl); //The imgurl value here is correct if (imgurl != null) { image.ImageUrl = imgurl; } else { MessageBox("image url is null"); } tc.Controls.Add(image); tr.Cells.Add(tc); Table1.Rows.Add(tr)

  • Are the old httpHandlers and httpModules elements needed in IIS7?

    - by James Newton-King
    I'd like to clean up the web.config and remove unneeded XML. A default ASP.NET 3.5 web application has the follow elements in the web.config: <httpHandlers> <remove verb="*" path="*.asmx"/> <add verb="*" path="*.asmx" validate="false" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/> <add verb="*" path="*_AppService.axd" validate="false" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/> <add verb="GET,HEAD" path="ScriptResource.axd" type="System.Web.Handlers.ScriptResourceHandler, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" validate="false"/> </httpHandlers> <httpModules> <add name="ScriptModule" type="System.Web.Handlers.ScriptModule, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/> <add name="UrlRoutingModule" type="System.Web.Routing.UrlRoutingModule, System.Web.Routing, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" /> </httpModules> When running under IIS7, which has modules and handlers being registered under the system.webServer element, is the configuration above still needed?

  • Blackberry Development, adding dynamic number of buttons and setting Fieldchangelistener() for them

    - by Nikesh Yadav
Hi, I am adding dynamic number of buttons in a Blackberry application and trying to get different events on each button click. I am not able to apply the setchangelistener() for these array of buttons as once the loop finishes after adding all the buttons, the events gets generated only for the last indexed button. If I make us of getIndex(), it runs fine only if I am not adding any other fields on my screen, but if I add other fields along with these array of buttons, the getIndex() function count them in the indexing as well. Can anyone please help me out in setting FieldChangeListener to array of ButtonField? Here is a sample code of the way I am using the array of ButtonField. I the code I have added two test LabelField at the top of the screen, if I remove them the code will run fine and I will get different result for each button click, but if I keep them active, the indexing gets effected and the Button wont work. package buttonclickloop; import net.rim.device.api.ui.DrawStyle; import net.rim.device.api.ui.Field; import net.rim.device.api.ui.FieldChangeListener; import net.rim.device.api.ui.component.ButtonField; import net.rim.device.api.ui.component.LabelField; import net.rim.device.api.ui.container.HorizontalFieldManager; import net.rim.device.api.ui.container.MainScreen; public class ButtoncClickLoop extends MainScreen { int i = 0; private ButtonField[] btn = new ButtonField[50]; public ButtoncClickLoop() { // TODO Auto-generated constructor stub LabelField Field1 = new LabelField("Field1"); LabelField Field2 = new LabelField("Field2",DrawStyle.RIGHT | ButtonField.USE_ALL_WIDTH); HorizontalFieldManager FieldHmgr = new HorizontalFieldManager(); FieldHmgr.add(Field1); FieldHmgr.add(Field2); FieldHmgr.setMargin(0,0,10,5); add(FieldHmgr); while (i < 3){ FieldChangeListener listener = new FieldChangeListener() { public void fieldChanged(Field field, int context) { context = field.getIndex(); if (field == btn[context]){ add(new LabelField("Label" + context + "")); } } }; btn[i] = new ButtonField("Button" + i + ""); btn[i].setChangeListener(listener); add(btn[i]); i = i + 1; } } } Thanks, Nikesh

  • Passing paramenters on the stack

    - by oxinabox.ucc.asn.au
When you pass parameters to a function on the cpu stack, You put the parameters on then JSR puts the return address on the stack. So than means in your function you must take the top item of the stack (the return address) before you can take the others off) eg is the following the correct way to go about it: ... |Let’s do some addition with a function, MOVE.L #4, -(SP) MOVE.L #5, -(SP) JSR add |the result of the addition (4+5) is in D0 (9) ... add: MOVE.L (SP)+, A1 |store the return address |in a register MOVE.L D0, -(SP) |get 1st parameter, put in D0 MOVE.L D2, -(SP) |get 2nd parameter, put in D0 ADD.L D2, D0 |add them, |storing the result in D0 MOVE.L A1, -(SP) |put the address back on the |Stack RTS |return

  • Scala command line parameters in eclipse?

    - by Mitch Blevins
Scala includes the continuations plugin now (yay), but must be enabled by passing "-P:continuations:enable" to the scala compiler. Is there a way to pass arbitrary arguments to scalac for the eclipse scala plugin? From: http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.scala/19439 the plugin is loaded by default, but it must be enabled by the command line argument -P:continuations:enable

  • Problem with persisting interface collection at design time in winforms, .net

Now, if I dispense with the interface and just have a collection of Anger, then it persists correctly. Any ideas?

  • C++ Switch Statement Case Error

    - by Metal_Drummer
    I'm programming a simple text-based RPG using a switch statement for a game loop. The program works fine until I attempt to add another case statement, at which point it gives me the following three errors: "jump to case label" (error occurs at the line of the newly added case), and two "crosses initialization of 'ClassName *objectName'"(errors occur when the new objects are created in case 2). I'll paste the important code, if anyone needs more, please let me know. int main(void) { //initiate first object array and add some objects //initiate second object array and add some objects while(gamestate != 8) { switch(gamestate) { case 0: //do some stuff break; case 1: //do some stuff break; case 2: //declare new objects of the two... //...classes I have (ClassName *objectName) //do some stuff break; case 3: //this is the case I am trying to add //do nothing break; } } return 0; }

  • Latex \hline spacing

    - by vigilant
How do you add spacing after an \hline in a tabular? I can add spacing before it using \vspace, however if I try to add spacing after the \hline, the spacing will come after the next line of text. Here is what I have so far: \multicolumn{2}{Hello!} \vspace{4pt} \\ \hline \textit{Hi!} & \textit{Ho!} I don't want to add a line break after the \hline and do something like \vspace{-xxpt} or use \rule because the generated HTML document from Hevea will be ugly.

  • 3 methods for adding a "Product" through Entity Framework. What's the difference?

    - by Kohan
Reading this MSDN article titled "Working with ObjectSet (Entity Framework)" It shows two examples on how to add a Product.. one for 3.5 and another for 4.0. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee473442.aspx Through my lack of knowledge I am possibly completely missing something here, but i never added a Product like this: //In .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, use the following code: (ObjectQuery) using (AdventureWorksEntities context = new AdventureWorksEntities()) { // Add the new object to the context. context.AddObject("Products", newProduct); } //New in .NET Framework 4, use the following code: (ObjectSet) using (AdventureWorksEntities context = new AdventureWorksEntities()) { // Add the new object to the context. context.Products.AddObject(newProduct); } I would not have done it either way and just used: // (My familiar way) using (AdventureWorksEntities context = new AdventureWorksEntities()) { // Add the new object to the context. context.AddToProducts(newProduct); } What's the difference between these three ways? Is "My way" just another way of using an ObjectQuery? Thanks, Kohan

  • How can I get PowerShell Added-Types to use Added References

    - by Scott Weinstein
I'm working on a PoSh project that generates CSharp code, and then Add-Types it into memory. The new types use existing types in an on disk DLL, which is loaded via Add-Type. All is well and good untill I actualy try to invoke methods on the new types. Here's an example of what I'm doing: $PWD = "." rm -Force $PWD\TestClassOne* $code = " namespace TEST{ public class TestClassOne { public int DoNothing() { return 1; } } }" $code | Out-File tcone.cs Add-Type -OutputAssembly $PWD\TestClassOne.dll -OutputType Library -Path $PWD\tcone.cs Add-Type -Path $PWD\TestClassOne.dll $a = New-Object TEST.TestClassOne "Using TestClassOne" $a.DoNothing() "Compiling TestClassTwo" Add-Type -Language CSharpVersion3 -TypeDefinition " namespace TEST{ public class TestClassTwo { public int CallTestClassOne() { var a = new TEST.TestClassOne(); return a.DoNothing(); } } }" -ReferencedAssemblies $PWD\TestClassOne.dll "OK" $b = New-Object TEST.TestClassTwo "Using TestClassTwo" $b.CallTestClassOne() Running the above script gives the following error on the last line: Exception calling "CallTestClassOne" with "0" argument(s): "Could not load file or assembly 'TestClassOne,...' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified." At AddTypeTest.ps1:39 char:20 + $b.CallTestClassOne <<<< () + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [], MethodInvocationException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : DotNetMethodException What am I doing wrong?

  • C# - adding new groups with items and subitems to a listview

    - by Nike
Hello there. The following code adds a new item, and a new group with the text "Default". If i keep clicking the button, it will just keep adding new items to that particular group. ListViewItem item = new ListViewItem(""); item.SubItems.Add(""); csslistview.Items.Add(item); What i'm trying to do, is to add a new group and fill it with one empty item, aswell as one empty subitem. And when i click the button again, i want it to create a new group, and do the same thing. I have a textbox were the user has to fill in the name of the group, so there wont be any groups with the same name (hopefully). The following code, i think, creates a new group: ListViewGroup group = new ListViewGroup(newGroupName); group.Items.Add(newGroupName); csslistview.Groups.Add(group); but as empty groups aren't showed, i can't really verify that it actually creates new groups. Well, thanks in advance. -Nike
