  I'm trying to write some software to read a MIDI file into an internal data format and use it to control 3D simulated instruments. My biggest problem is reading the MIDI data in from a file, and I'd like to avoid writing all the import code. Does anyone know of a free (preferably Open Source), cross-platform MIDI file reading library? What features does it have? Can it import other note-based music formats?

I need a way to export that data during a migration, where I know the entity that's being converted and save the blob to a file, writing the location of that file into the converted entity's appropriate attribute. I can't seem to find a way to do this. The docs regarding the Three Stage Migration seem to indicate what can be done, but I'm not sure where to define things, or what exactly to define.

I like the user to select a file and then do the following things 1) Hash it with md5 and sha1 2) If archive check if an exe is in it 3) If archive check if password protected The first to see if the user has uploaded it already (today, yesterday, last month) 2nd to prevent viruses 3rd i should be fine without but if i decide to not allow protected archives i can warn before the user uploads it.   Hi, I have a windows service which reads the config settings from an external file which is located at a different path than the path to the executable for the windows service. the windows service uses a FileSystemWatcher to monitor the changes to the external config file and when it the config file is changed, it should refresh the settings in memory by reading the updated settings from the config file. but this is where I am getting an exception "ConfigurationErrorsException" and the message is "An error occurred creating the configuration section handler for appSettings: The process cannot access the file 'M:\somefolder\WindowsService1.Config' because it is being used by another process." and the inner exception is actually "IOException" with same message. here is the code. I am not sure what is wrong with the code.   Here is what I have so far: Get-ChildItem "C:\Folder" | Foreach-Object {$_.Name} > C:\Folder\File.txt When you open the output from above, File.txt, you see this: file1.txt file2.mpg file3.avi file4.txt How do I get the output so it drops the extension and only shows this: file1 file2 file3 file4 Thanks in advance!   I am writing Unit tests for a Windows Project. The Executable project on the Client Side of this Windows Project has a code File.Exists("LanguageLookups.sdf") which is used to check and return a Bool if the sdf file exists in the Execution Directory or not. But when i execute the same piece of Code through a Unit test; The code File.Exists("LanguageLookups.sdf") returns a FALSE. Its not able to find this SDF File. Can anybody help me on this?

I'm trying to theme the Twig file upload widget so that the current picture set for the field is displayed above the file input. My question is how can I get hold of the path to the file? Is there a way to pick it out of the form values for the field? Could I perhaps pass it through as an option to the field? Srz if this is a dumb question, still pretty new to Symfony and Twig..

I able to read a file in basic encoding schemes like UTF-8, UTF16 etc...After a bit of research on the internet i came to know that we need charset.jar or international version of JRE be installed to support extended encoding schemes. Can anyone send me a link for international version of JRE6 or JDK6. or is there any better way that i could read a file in cp037 encoding scheme. P.S: cp037 is a character encoding scheme supported by IBM Mainframes. All i need is to display a file in windows, which is being generated on IBM Mainframes machine, using a java program.
