  • Eclipse CDT code analysis thinks size_t is ambiguous

    It does, after all, get defined in stddef.h AND c++config.h: c++config.h: namespace std { typedef __SIZE_TYPE__ size_t; typedef __PTRDIFF_TYPE__ ptrdiff_t; #ifdef __GXX_EXPERIMENTAL_CXX0X__ typedef decltype(nullptr) nullptr_t; #endif } stddef.h: #define __SIZE_TYPE__ long unsigned int So when a file does using namespace std, the Eclipse CDT code analysis gets confused and says the symbol is ambiguous. I don't know how gcc works around this, but does anybody have any suggestions on what to do for the eclipse code analysis?

  • Stack Overflows in the Eclipse JSP Editor

    When editing JSPs in Eclipse, I periodically get stack overflows. Once I get one, each time I click a character I get a pop-up telling me there was another stack overflow. This continues until I close the JSP and re-open it, at which time it's fine for a while. org.eclipse.jst.jsp.core.internal.parser.JSPSourceParser: input could not be parsed correctly at position 1 java.lang.StackOverflowError Has anyone else seen this issue, do you know the cause, and is there a way to fix it?

    Does anyone know where bookmarks are stored in the Eclipse IDE? I had to delete a Java project from my workspace, then use the Import Existing project option to reset some configuration settings, and now my bookmarks are gone. I'm trying to understand how this affected my bookmarks, since everything on the file system except for the Eclipse .project and .classpath files should have remained unchanged.

    Is Eclipse at all themeable? I would like to install a dark color scheme for it, since I much prefer white text on dark background than the other way around.     I want to track the workspace of eclipse by source control so that important settings can be backed up. However, there are a lot of kind of *.index inside the .metadata folder of workspace. Some information are important, for example Mylyn repository, but some information is merely cached files and thus, doesn't make sense to me for being tracked. In short, what files inside eclipse workspace that should be tracked so that I can restore the working workspace after problems (like meta data file deleted, etc.)

    Hello, I wrote a complex Java application with eclipse that uses many .jar libraries included into project folder. Is there a quick way to export a running configuration of the application that allows me to run it from shell (I don't actually need to move it around machines, so no jar export or similar things).
