  • Can NSUserDefaults be used for pausing the application during a phone call ?

    Friends, currently I dont have iphone to test and using Simulator for testing purposes. I am Just curious to know whether an application continues to run even after a phone call.. here i have no option to test this from simulator. If it terminates then how can i pause things.. and continue after a phone call. Is NSUserDefaults can be used for my case. As far I understood NSuserDefaults are used to store data that is required when the App is next time loaded. But here I dont want my App to terminate instead pause until Call ends and continue as uninterrupted later. Please clear me about this. Sorry I am still a beginner so I request for no harsh replies if my question looks stupid. Thanks in Advance

  • How to pass the values from one activity to previous activity

    Dear friends.. Can any one tell me how to pass the value from one screen to its previous screen. Consider the case.i m having two screen first screen with one Textview and button and the second activity have one edittext and button. If i click the first button then it has to move to second activity and here user has to type something in the textbox. If he press the button from the second screen then the values from the textbox should move to the first activity and that should be displayed in the first activity textview. regards, s.kumaran.

    Hi, During my file upload process, I found illegal character getting saved in Table. zurück.pdf, C _Word.doc were the file names. Here ü, space between C and _Word was found as ? in the Table Column. I have validate the filename in client side by replacing non-alpha numeric values by _ (underscore), but still it escapes and persist into DB. How can these handled in Client side?

    Hello I am using ibatis and C#. i get a result from a select query that has CreatedDate as one of the field. The Datatype of CreatedDate in Mysql is Date. I assign the result set of the select query to a Ilist< DeliveryClass **. Here the DeliveryClass CreatedDate as DateTime. When i run the application, i get **Unable to convert MySQL date/time value to System.DateTime. What could be the problem?

I am trying to hide that Close becuase its not showing me in my dialog when I resize my dialog then its showing me.. some reason my CSS not showing me that Close button correctly on my POPUP.     I want to do the following things in my application 1) I want to display whether any USB drive is inserted or not in my application to prompt the user to insert a USB drive. I just want to notify the user if any USB dirve is inserted else prompt him to insert one using a label or something (i want to avoid messagebox as it will keep appearing whenever a device is inserted or removed. It will be irritating for the end user) in my Visual C# WinForm Application. If any USB drive is present display "USB drive detected" in the label. The user may add one or more USB sticks but the status will remain same. When there is none then the status of the label will change to "No USB drives found.Please insert a USB drive". 2) When one or more USB drive is added the volume name with the drive letter for example "James(F:)" is added to the Combobox list. The combobox list also needs to remove the entry for the USB drive added in the list automatically when it is removed . So when there is no USB the list should be empty and the label will again prompt user to insert a USB stick or drive.

    Hi All, Recently I attended interview in java, the interviewer asked a question like below: I have a request which go throgh A,B,C modules and response go back throgh A , in module A I need to talk to database and again in module C I need to talk to database, so in this situation how many connections you will open and where do you close those connections? My Answer: I said that in module A I will open a connection and I will close it then and there, then control go to module B then module C, in module C again I will open one more connection and i will close it again. then he asked me again another question I want to open one connection per one request processing, how can i do this?
