  Hi! I'm trying to implement stateless session bean ejb3 in jboss5 using netbeans6.8 as a editor. When I tried deploying my application, I'm getting the following error. • SSRS 2008 Report Manager Error

  I have just installed SQL Server 2008 including Reporting Services on Windows Server 2003. I'm having a problem though accessing the Report Manager. When the Reporting Service is first started I can access it fine but after maybe an hour when I try and access it I get an error saying: Unable to connect to the remote server. The reporting service is still running at this point. I can connect to it through Reporting Services Configuration Manager and clicking on the Web Service URL gives a directory listing (I assume that is correct behaviour). If I stop and start the service through Reporting Services Configuration Manager then I can access Report Manager once again (although in maybe an hour I will get the same error once again). I've installed the latest SP1 service pack. I'm using the same domain account to run all the SQL services. The report server is set to use the default ReportServer virtual directory, is set to IP address All Assigned, TCP Port 80 and no SSL certificate. The report manager is set to use the default Reports virtual directory, IP address All Assigned, TCP Port 80 and no SSL certificates. In the log file I get an error: Unable to connect to remote server HTTP status code 500 An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I've searched the net but haven't been able to find a solution.

  In my View, I am trying to loop through a list in a LINQ object that as part of my View Model. No data or code has changed. Simply the software upgrades from RC to RTM. The error I am getting is this: \Views\Users\Details.aspx(67): error CS0012: The type 'System.Data.Linq.EntitySet`1' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'System.Data.Linq, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'. But System.Data.Linq IS referenced. I see it there in the references list. I tried deleting it and re-adding it but I get the same error. Any ideas?

• Error in WCF service - Silverlight client communication.

  I created a WCF service and I planned to consume this in a Silverlight application. So I created the WCF service in the Website host project. The service is a simple WCF service that only returns a number - something like a Hello World WCF-SL. So after adding a service reference in the silverlight client project to the Service URI, after calling async the service method (by using the generated proxy), I get the following exception in the callback method: An error occurred while trying to make a request to URI 'http://localhost:4566/SLService.svc'. This could be due to attempting to access a service in a cross-domain way without a proper cross-domain policy in place, or a policy that is unsuitable for SOAP services. You may need to contact the owner of the service to publish a cross-domain policy file and to ensure it allows SOAP-related HTTP headers to be sent. This error may also be caused by using internal types in the web service proxy without using the InternalsVisibleToAttribute attribute. Please see the inner exception for more details. I only created a HelloWorld WCF service with nothing else but a simple method that returns a dumb number and it's hosted on my locally. Must I have clientaccesspolicy.xml or crossdomain.xml? I acces my service locally. Every time I create a new simple/dumb WCF-SL solution, I get this error. I use VS2010 and Silverlight 4. I cannot get a simple/dumb WCF-SL solution working locally. Is there something wrong with the configuration? On another machine in the same network, it does work properly, so I assume something is misconfigured. Any thoughts?

• Subversive Connector Discovery error

  Trying to install Subversive for the first time. Successfully installed Subversive "Team Provider" via the Available Sites dialog in Help Install New Software. Added a site that points to the Helios Update Site. Restarted Eclipse and tried to open the SVN Repository Browser and it automatically launched a Subversive Connector Discovery dialog, presenting me with 6 or 7 connectors to choose from. I've tried every single one, and they all fail, stating that an "error occured" and that I need to check the "error log" (Eclipse error log?) for details. I then exited the dialog and noticed that I can now view all the SVN-related perspective panes. (1) Was it alright for me to cancel that Connector Discovery process, or will I need that to create/edit repositories locally? If I need it, what was going wrong and does anyone have any ideas for how to get it working? (2) I'm trying to undertand the SVN Repositories feature for creating a new repository. How do I point it to my local SVN server instance? The default is to query me for a URL that I assume I would point to one of those "publicly available" repos.... which I don't want! • php: how to return an HTTP 500 code on any error, no matter what

  Hi guys. I'm writing an authentication script in PHP, to be called as an API, that needs to return 200 only in the case that it approves the request, and 403 (Forbidden) or 500 otherwise. The problem I'm running into is that php returns 200 in the case of error conditions, outputting the error as html instead. How can I make absolutely sure that php will return an HTTP 500 code unless I explicitly return the HTTP 200 or HTTP 403 myself? In other words, I want to turn any and all warning or error conditions into 500s, no exceptions, so that the default case is rejecting the authentication request, and the exception is approving it with a 200 code. I've fiddled with set_error_handler() and error_reporting(), but so far no luck. For example, if the code outputs something before I send the HTTP response code, PHP naturally reports that you can't modify header information after outputting anything. However, this is reported by PHP as a 200 response code with html explaining the problem. I need even this kind of thing to be turned into a 500 code. Is this possible in PHP? Or do I need to do this at a higher level like using mod_rewrite somehow? If that's the case, any idea how I'd set that up? Thanks for any help. Jake

  I am starting with emacs, and don't know much elisp. Nearly nothing, really. I want to use ack as a replacement of grep. These are the instructions I followed to use ack from within emacs: http://www.rooijan.za.net/?q=ack_el Now I don't like the output format that is used in this el file, I would like the output to be that of ack --group. So I changed: (read-string "Ack arguments: " "-i" nil "-i" nil) to: (read-string "Ack arguments: " "-i --group" nil "-i --group" nil) So far so good. But this made me lose the ability to click-press_enter on the rows of the output buffer. In the original behaviour, compile-mode was used to be able to jump to the selected line. I figured I should add a regexp to the ack-mode. The ack-mode is defined like this: (define-compilation-mode ack-mode "Ack" "Specialization of compilation-mode for use with ack." nil) and I want to add the regexp [0-9]+: to be detected as an error too, since it is what every row of the output bugger includes (line number). I've tried to modify the define-compilation-modeabove to add the regexp, but I failed miserably. How can I make the output buffer of ack let me click on its rows? --- EDIT, I tried also: --- (defvar ack-regexp-alist '(("[0-9]+:" 2 3)) "Alist that specifies how to match rows in ack output.")   I have created a Custom Server Control that renders the SiteMap as a pure UL for CSS styling. At run-time it renders properly but in VS2008 Design View VS shows this error: Error Rendering Control - menuMainAn unhandled exception has occurred. The provider 'AspNetXmlSiteMapProvider' specified for the defaultProvider does not exist in the providers collection. I have 'AspNetXmlSiteMapProvider' specified in web.config as per here : link text While I am happy that the code runs properly, the Designer error is bothersome if the underlying issue might cause the code to break in some circumstances so I need to understand what is going on... The code explicitly references the sitemap in the Render Method with : int level = 1; string ul = string.Format("<div class='{0}' id='{1}'>{2}</div>", CssClassName, this.ID.ToString(), EnumerateNodesRecursive(SiteMap.RootNode, level)); output.Write(ul); and the recursive method called referrences SiteMap.CurrentNode. Otherwise there are no explicit sitemap references in the code. Does anyone have any ideas why Deisgner is complaining?

• Axis2 with OpenEJB error on Tomcat

  Hi, I deployed on Tomcat Axis2 and OpenEjb and got the error. If deploy either only axis2 or openejb, they works properly, but when deploy them together, Axis2 can't be deployed, but OpenEjb is available. Could anybody help with this problem, please?   I'm trying to implement a GridView with paging inside a UpdatePanel. Everything works great when I do my first click. The paging kicks in and the next set of data is loaded quickly. • Selenium RC test - IE gives 403 error on Tomcat app, Tomcat root OK

  I'm new to Selenium RC, having previously used Selenium IDE and only run tests in Firefox. I'm trying to get a basic test to run using Selenium RC through Eclipse; my test works OK in Firefox, and in Safari now that I've killed the pop-up blocker, but IE8 is causing a SeleniumException to be thrown, containing an "XHR ERROR" with a 403 response: com.thoughtworks.selenium.SeleniumException: XHR ERROR: URL = http://localhost:8080/pims Response_Code = 403 Error_Message = Forbidden at com.thoughtworks.selenium.HttpCommandProcessor.throwAssertionFailureExceptionOrError(HttpCommandProcessor.java:97) at com.thoughtworks.selenium.HttpCommandProcessor.doCommand(HttpCommandProcessor.java:91) at com.thoughtworks.selenium.DefaultSelenium.open(DefaultSelenium.java:335) at org.pimslims.seleniumtest.FirstTest.testNew(FirstTest.java:32) ... I can do a similar test on http:/ /localhost:8080 (space between the slashes here because SO thinks I'm spamming) and it's fine - I can make IE open that Tomcat default page and click a link. It's only if I try to open my application at http:/ /localhost:8080/pims that I see this error - and only in IE. I can open that URL in IE by typing it into the address bar. I was convinced that there's some setting in IE that's causing this, but I've tried everything I can think of. http:/ /localhost:8080 is in my Trusted Sites, and I've turned the security for that zone down to the minimum, allowed anything that looks related to popups, etc. If I try adding http:/ /localhost:8080/pims/ to Trusted Sites, IE says it's already there. I've also messed around with proxy settings, to no avail, but may have missed something obvious. I've tried starting the test with *iexplore, *iehta, and *iexploreproxy - all behave the same. Is there something I've missed?   I'm trying to setup my first repo on my host and am getting this error when I use Tortoise to checkout the project: Error: OPTIONS of 'http://mywebsite.com/svn/myproject': 200 OK (http://mywebsite.com) Here is what I did: 1) ssh into my host and head to /home/myaccnt and 'svnadmin create svn' 2) create my project repo: 'svn mkdir svn/myproject' 3) add files to the repo: cd /home/myaccnt/.../myproject (which has /tags, /branch, /trunk); 'svn import file:///home/myaccnt/svn/myproject' (the big ole list of files being added is seen at this point.) At this point I think that I've setup my repo and imported my project into the repo. So, I'm ready to checkout using TortoiseSVN on my Windows box. So: 4) In the folder I'd like to checkout to, I rightclick and 'SVN Checkout' and then make sure my URL is: http://mywebsite.com/svn/myproject Result? Error: OPTIONS of 'http://mywebsite.com/svn/myproject': 200 OK (http://mywebsite.com) Anyone have any thoughts for me?   I am working on a Java project with Eclipse. This project requires a second project (not mine), named sams in its build-path. The sams is provided with a build.xml file and it should generate some code using Apache CXF when building it.
