• Solr Facet Search spring-data-solr

  I am new to Solr and we are using Spring-data for Solr I have a question may be its too simple but I am unable to comprehend. Basically I need to search on any field but I have a "zip" field as one of the facet fields. I have a Solr repository . (Am not sure if the annotations on the Repository are correct.) public interface MyRepository extends SolrCrudRepository<MyPOJO, String> { @Query(value = "*:*") @Facet(fields={"zip"}) public FacetPage<MyPOJO> findByQueryandAnno(String searchTerm,Pageable page); } In my Service class I am trying to call this methods by Injecting MyRepository like below public class MyService { @Inject MyRepository solrRepo; @Inject SolrTemplate solrTemplate; public FacetPage<MyPOJO> tryFacets(String searchString){ //Here is where I am struggling SimpleFacetQuery query = new SimpleQuery(new SimpleStringCriteria(searchString)); query.setFacetOptions(new FacetOptions("zip")); //Not sure how to get the Pageable object. //But the repository doesnt accept without it. return solrTemplate.queryForPage(query,{Pageable Instance to be passed here}) } From my jUnit I am loading context files needed for Solr and Spring //In jUnit the test method looks like this service.tryFacets("some value"); and it fails with - method not found in the service class at the call to the repository method. *********EDIT**************** As per ChristophStrobl's advice created a copyfield called multivaluedCopyField and the searchString argument works good. But the facet still isnt working...Now my code looks like this. • iPhone dev - viewDidLoad and viewDidUnload in programmatically created view?

  I read somewhere that in a programmatically created view in a UIViewController, not using Interface Builder, -viewDidLoad and -viewDidUnload should not be used. Is this right? Why? Where would I release subviews that I have retaining properties of? Or should I just not use properties for them? EDIT: Read my comments on Rob Napier's answer.

  I've made a new class in my Xcode project which is derived from UITableView I then drag a UITableView from in the interface builder onto my view and change the class of the object to my derived class. Then I drag the outlet from the table to the files owner and hook it up to an outlet variable in my main view, which is of the same type as my derived class. How do I also set up the datasource and delegate so that they belong to the derived class?

• How to efficently build an interpreter (lexer+parser) in C?

  I'm trying to make a meta-language for writing markup code (such as xml and html) wich can be directly embedded into C/C++ code. As you can see the traditional tag-based style is substituted by C-like, with blocks delimited by curly braces. I need to build an interpreter to translate this code to html and posteriorly insert it into C, so that it can be compiled. The C part stays intact. Inside the wdi source it is not necessary to use prints, every return statement will be used for output (in printf function). The program's output will be clean html code. So, for example a heading 1 tag would be transformed like this: h1 { "Hello, " + toCapital(name) + "!"; } // would become: printf("<h1>Hello, %s!</h1>", toCapital(name)); My main goal is to create an interpreter to translate wdi source to html like this: tag(attributes) {content} = <tag attributes>content</tag> Secondly, html code returned by the interpreter has to be inserted into C code with printfs. Variables and functions that occur inside wdi should also be sorted in order to use them as printf parameters (the case of toCapital(name) in sample source). I am searching for efficient (I want to create a fast parser) way to create a lexer and parser for wdi. Already tried flex and bison, but as I am not sure if they are the best tools. Are there any good alternatives? What is the best way to create such an interpreter? Can you advise some brief literature on this issue?

• Reducing both pagfile.sys and hiberfil.sys in Windows 7

  I recently used Defraggler to consolidate my free space areas on my D: drive preparatory to using Disk Manager to break my drive into two areas, one as my "data area" for Windows 7 (normally on my C: drive) and to experiment around with Windows 8. The Defraggler program works so well I ran it on my C: drive and I ended up with a lot of free space both on my C: drive and my D: drive. I was very happy. And then I woke up the next day and I've got virtually no free space left, something like 8 MB on my C: drive and about 3 GB on my D: drive. I then ran Wintree (which gives a nifty graphical representation of disk usage) and found I had a large page file and a large hiberfil. So I temporarily turned off hibernate and reduced the page file size to 2000megabytes and then rebooted so that both would take effect. It had no effect on the C: drive or the D: drive. That makes no sense to me. What caused the free space on each drive to disappear, why doesn't the page file size being reduced and the hibernate file being turned off free up disk space to either the C: or the D: drive? Would it make sense to delete the two files in question and, if so, how do I go about doing that? Safe mode? Thanks. Ross

• Small office network setups

  I work at a small office and we're overhauling our network setup there. We're a web dev company and at the moment we have 50+ production sites running on the same machine that runs our internal email, which is just plain stupid. We're moving all our client hosting off site and are now looking for something to run our internal office requirement. Below is a brain dump: Equal amount of Mac & PC, about 25 machines in total. We need a central "server" to host files that should be accessible everyone as a "network drive". If possible we'd like to use low cost hardware for this (Mac or Win based). Disk space should be upward of 1TB. Ideally we should also be able to run a small web server on this machine (LAMP stack) to run some planning and billing applications we wrote ourselves. We need some sort of MS Exchange alternative for things like a shared calendar and especially being able to set Out of Office replies. We have one printer that is connected to the network Setup should be something can preferably be managed easily via a graphical interface and NOT require command line skills. Users want to keep using Apple Mail or MS Outlook After a quick google I came across the Zimbra collaboration suite, can anyone recommend this or any other solution for our office?
