  • html horizontal scrolling

    I am trying to create multiple items (each with a name value and a content value) in a single form. The code I have is functioning, but I cannot figure out how to ignore items that are blank.     Hi guys, I'm having trouble with one particular issue, I was hoping someone could help me out. I've completed the MVC Music Store tutorial, and now I'm trying to add some administrator functionality - practice as I will have to do this in an MVC application in my job. The application is using the aspnet membership api, and what I have done so far is created a view to list the users. What I want to be able to do, is click on the users name in order to change their password. To try and carry the username to the changeUserPassword controller (custom made). I registered a new route in the global.asax.cs file in order to display the username in the URL, which is working so far. This is in order to pass it through to enable me to reset the password. Having debugged through the code, it seems that 'username' is null. How can I get this to work so that the username carries over from the Html.RouteLink, to the changeUserPassword action?     Hi I show my business objects in a MS datagrid, containing "country", "city", "street", for example. I can set a tooltip for each column showing its content using a style, so I get the "country" as tooltip when hooverinmg over the "country" column and so on. But I did not succeed 1) to show the content of "country" when hoovering over "city" 2) to show the content of some other property (not even displayed in the datagrid) when hoovering the datagrid Any clues?   • Overriding Node Paths

    Can a PAGE override the priority of a NODE? I want to use the power of "Pages" to override my links from the nodes... For example: A nodes link is /content/202/hello-world I want to use my Panels to use the URL to create a "PAGE"... The panels can use the arguments from the URL to create a pretty cool page around the content of a node... So the PAGE path I've made is /content/%argument1/%title... I need the links created to the node from the node itself to go to this panel page and not to the content created by the node on its own... so i make the path alias do the same as the PAGE settings... /content/nid/title... A hand typed in link to this PAGE works fine when I dont have this as the path alias... It does exactly what I need... but as soon as I make this the Path Alias, it's like it goes to the single NODE before it goes to the PAGE... Anyone have any clues... Is there an order which Drupal looks for the correct URL? Im sure I have done this before. JD

Pinging is enabled on the router too. I briefly had a static configuration working but it died after the first reboot. Please let me know what other info you might need.     I'm trying to use jquery to load external pages into the current without reloading. Apparently everything works fine except of one little issue, I hope I'll be clear as much as possible. When I call the page 'info.php' it is loaded into the #content div. That's what the script supposed to do, the problem is that in the main page, which contains the script and the #content div, I already have some code that I want it to be executed when someone visit the page and not to be called from external page.   • Wrangling Control of HTTP Headers in ASP.NET

    I'm working with ASP.NET MVC3, and I'm trying to get absolute control over my headers because a client application that I'm working with expects a very specific content type. What I'm finding when using Fiddler to examine the HTTP traffic is that the text encoding is being returned as part of the header. For example, the client is expecting application/appname in the Content-Type header, but the server is returning application/appname; charset=utf-8. I think the client is using a strict comparison for checking the type, so I want to be able to specify exactly what is emitted in the headers. Right now I have a custom ActionResult in which I clear the headers and then specify only the content type, but the encoding still seems to be added on. How can I remove the encoding from the Content-Type header?

    I have a problem with a FreeBSD server. There is a FreeBSD 9.0 amd64, two network cards em1 (internet), em0 (local network) configured firewall ipfw, natd, squid (not transparent), the server acts as a gateway for access to the Internet. Next problem: upload via squid is very low.     I wanted to write an iptables script in Python. Rather than calling iptables itself I wanted to use the python-iptables package. However I'm having a hard time getting some basic rules setup. I wanted to use the filter chain to accept incoming TCP traffic on port 1234.     My current project involves gathering text content from an element and all of its descendents, based on a provided selector. For example, when supplied the selector #content and run against this HTML: <div id="content"> <p>This is some text.</p> <script type="text/javascript"> var test = true; </script> <p>This is some more text.</p> </div> my script would return (after a little whitespace cleanup): This is some text. var test = true; This is some more text. However, I need to disregard text nodes that occur within <script> elements. This is an excerpt of my current code: // get text content of all matching elements for (x = 0; x < selectors.length; x++) { matches = Sizzle(selectors[x], document); for (y = 0; y < matches.length; y++) { match = matches[y]; if (match.innerText) { // IE content += match.innerText + ' '; } else if (match.textContent) { // other browsers content += match.textContent + ' '; } } } It's a bit overly simplistic in that it just returns all text nodes within the element (and its descendants) that matches the provided selector. The solution I'm looking for would return all text nodes except for those that fall within script elements. It doesn't need to be especially high-performance, but I do need it to ultimately be cross-browser compatible. I'm assuming that I'll need to somehow loop through all children of the element that matches the selector and accumulate all text nodes other than ones within <script> elements; it doesn't look like there's any way to identify JavaScript once it's already rolled into the string accumulated from all of the text nodes. I can't use jQuery (for performance/bandwidth reasons), although you may have noticed that I do use its Sizzle selector engine, so jQuery's selector logic is available.     I am having two mysql instances on same machine. The installations are on /usr/loca/mysql1 and /usr/local/mysql2. I m having separate my.cnf files located in /etc/mysql1 and /etc/mysql2. I installed the first instance of my sql using source distribution and with the --prefix=/usr/local/mysql1 option. The second one i got from copying and pastinf the same directory to /usr/local/mysql2. When i start the mysql daemon on /usr.local/mysql/libexec it reads the my.cnf file in /etc/mysql1. And if i start the mysql daemon in /usr/local/mysql2 it reads the same my.cnf file. I have separate port numbers and .sock files defined in the .cnf file in those 2 locations. I can read the my.cnf file in the second location by using --defaults-file=/etc/mysql2/my.cnf option on mysqld startup. I dnt need to enter this each and every time i start the daemon. If i am going to have more instances how can i point the correct my.cnf file to read to each and every mysql daemon. What is the retionale behind mysqld links with the my.cnf file. how can i predefine the location of my.cnf file for each instance.

How can I stop them from doing this?

  • Share a "deep link" from a Windows 8/WinRT application

    I have searched using many different terms and phrases, and waded through many pages of results, but I have (remarkably) not seen anyone else addressing, even asking, about, this issue. So here goes... Ultimate Goal: Allow a user viewing a content-based page (may contain both text and images) within a Windows Store app to share that content with someone else. Description I am working on taking a fair amount of content and making it available for browsing/navigating as a Windows 8/WinRT/Windows Store (we need a consistent name here) application. One of the desired features is to take advantage of the Share Charm, such that someone viewing a page could share that page with someone else. The ideal behavior is for the application to implement the Share Source contract which would share an email message that contained some explanatory text, a link to get the app from the Windows Store, and a "deep link" into the shared page in the application. Solutions Considered We had originally looked at just generating a PDF representation of the page, but there are very few external libraries that would work under WinRT, and having to include externally licensed code would be problematic as well. Writing our own PDF generation code would out of scope. We have also considered generating a Word document or PowerPoint slide using OpenXML, but again, we run up against the limitaions of WinRT. In this case, it is highly unlikely the OpenXML SDK is useable in a WinRT application. Another thought was to pre-generate all of the pages as .pdf files, store them as resources, and when the Share Charm is invoked, share the .pdf file associated with the current page. The problem here is the application will have at least 150 content pages, and depending on how we break the content down, up to over 600. This would likely cause serious bloat. Where We Are At Thus we have come to sharing URIs. From what I can tell, though, the "deep linking" feature is only intended for use on Secondary Tiles tied to your application. Another avenue I considered was registering a protocol like, "my-special-app:" with the OS and having it fire up the application but that would require HKCR registry access, which is outside the WinRT sandbox. If it matters, we are leaning towards an HTML/JS application, rather than XAML/C#, because the converted content will all be in HTML and the WebView control in WinRT is fairly limited. This decision is not yet final, though. Conclusion So, is this possible, and if so, how would it be done or where can I find documentation on it? Thanks, Dave Parker

    Hello, I have a big problem. I use additional controls for Wpf. One of them is Telerik RadWindow This control is already templated. Now I want to create custom Window with will inherit from RadWindow, and make custom template, eg. One base window will contains grid and two buttons, second base window will contain two grids (master - detail). The problem is that templates do not support inheritance. Perhaps is another way to template only the content of Winodow?
