  Is it appropriate to create jQuery plugins which are specific to a single page? I've been creating generic plugins that are not tied to any context and contain no business logic, but some people I've talked to suggest that almost all javascript, including business logic and logic specific to a single page, should be inside of jQuery plugins. Is it appropriate to have a validateformXYZ plugin which validates a specific HTML form? I'm buying into jQuery 100% but am not sure if this is a misuse or not.

• udp server unable to transmit data

So lets say we have a method that does not access instance fields, do you always define such a method as static, or only if you need to call it statically (without a reference to an instance).   There are plenty of questions on stackoverflow from people who have attempted to create an array of generics like so: ArrayList<Foo>[] poo = new ArrayList<Foo>[5]; And the answer of course is that the Java specification doesn't allow you to declare an array of generics. My question however is why ? What is the technical reason underlying this restriction in the java language or java vm? It's a technical curiosity I've always wondered about.
