• Is ctrl-s save universal for save or are there different combinations for different languages

  I imagine that there are different combination, just looking for an affirmation. Or, are we developers really that english-centric? If I were in japan, using a word processor on some computer, would ctrl-s save? Are there keyboards where ctrl-s doesn't even exist (non-english keyboards)? Most of what I've seen usually has latin + [insert language here] characters, usually overridden on the normal qwerty keyboard.

  i am developing an application in which i get the unicode using json and it showing correctly the unicode when i am trying to see in the debug mode,Now the problem is that how can i show in the emulator,i have using the UTF-8 for rendering the unicode bt it didn't show ? And when i am trying to show in using the setTypeface it showing the Telugu font in a simple program even but not correctly.i am using the Pothana2000.ttf to convert the telugu unicode to Telugu language. • Efficient copy of entire directory

  I want to copy one directory and the two files under it to another shared location of shared storage. Is it possible to combine the three(one directory and two files) as a continuous file writing and decompose it at another side to save the cost? I am limited to c language and Unix/Linux. • running same query in different databases

So far, I have been manually copying this query from a txt file to the sql view in the access query design screen for each database and then run it. • Which data structures and algorithms book should I buy?

  I know C and C++ and I have some experience with Java, but I don't know too much about Algorithms and Data Structures. I did a search on Amazon, but I don't know what book should I choose. I don't want a book which put its basis only on the theoretic part; I want the practical part too (probably more than the theoretical one :) ). I don't want the code to be implemented in a certain language, but if is in Java, probably I would happier. :)
