  • Qt C++ XML, validating against a DTD?

    - by Airjoe
    Is there a way to validate an XML file against a DTD with Qt's XML handling? I've tried googling around but can't seem to get a straight answer. If Qt doesn't include support for validating an XML file, what might be the process of implementing validation myself? Any good reference to start with in regards to validating XML against a spec? Thanks for the help!

  • domain modeling naming problem

    - by cherouvim
    Hello There are some simple entities in an application (e.g containing only id and title) which rarely change and are being referenced by the more complex entities of the application. These are usually entities such as Country, City, Language etc. How are these called? I've used the following names for those in the past but I'm not sure which is the best way to call them: reference data lookup values dictionaries thanks

  • Drupal 7: Create a taxonomy term for each node and use the node title as the term name

    - by Spre3
    Is there anyway of doing this by using rules or by some custom code? I did try using rules but I can't find a way of adding a new term and set the name as the node title because the [node:title] token is not avilable. I know this is possible using the NAT module but the way this module changes the taxonomy terms hierarchy if you add a term reference field that uses the same taxonomy vocabulary which ruins the whole purpose of what I am trying to do.

  • C++: Accessing std::map keys and values

    - by Jay
    How do you access an std::vector of the keys or values of an std::map? Thanks. Edit: I would like to access the actual elements, not just copies of their contents. essentially I want a reference, not a copy. This is essentially what I am wanting to do: std::map<std::string, GLuint> textures_map; // fill map glGenTextures( textures_map.size(), &textures_map.access_values_somehow[0] );

  • What is the difference between yum, apt-get, rpm, ./configure && make install

    - by Saif Bechan
    I am new to Linux and am running CentOs. When I want to update or install certain software I came across three ways. Sometimes it's: yum install program rpm -i program.rpm wget program.tar.gz unpack ./configure make make install That last one is a real pain, esp when you come from windows where a program install is usually one click and then a nice guide. Now can someone please explain to me: Why are there so many different ways to do this? Which one do you recommend to use and why? Are there any other ways for installing programs?

  • Using methods from the "outer" class in inner classes

    - by devoured elysium
    When defining nested classes, is it possible to access the "outer" class' methods? I know it's possible to access its attributes, but I can't seem to find a way to use its methods. addMouseListener(new MouseAdapter() { @Override public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e) { if (e.getClickCount() == 2 && //<-- Here I'd like to } // reference a method }); //from the class where //addMouseListener() is defined! Thanks

  • Has anyboy been able to install Pantograph for Blender on Windows?

    - by S.gfx
    I am specially interested on if somebody is actually doing/maintaining an installer for Windows, as there are quite several issues when installing all dependencies, etc. (for example, there might be someone already doing a Installbuilder installer for it and am just not aware of the matter) If not, at least if someone got it working and has some key tip to share. I am never able to fully get it all up and running. I'd love to have a not super complex way to install each new build of this great vector rendering module for Blender. • Is it guaranteed that False == 0 and True == 1 in Python?

    - by EOL
    Is it guaranteed that False == 0 and True == 1, in Python? For instance, is it in any way guaranteed that the following code will always produce the same results, whatever the version of Python (existing and in the foreseeable future)? 0 == False # True 1 == True # True ['zero', 'one'][False] # is 'zero' Any reference to the official documentation would be much appreciated! Other comments would be appreciated too… :)

  • How to install a proxy LDAP

    - by Jean-Claude
    I have to install an LDAP proxy on a compute cluster frontend. The idea is to avoid the compute nodes to make too many requests on the campus LDAP server. How can I install this to make it work with the school's LDAP? The frontend OS is a RHEL 6.2. I found that I have to install the LDAP server and configure it as a proxy. But all I can find is examples of /etc/openldap/slapd.conf file configuration but after testing different configuration, no results. Furthermore, according to RHEL 6 - Deployment Guide, this config file is obsolete: OpenLDAP no longer reads its configuration from the /etc/openldap/slapd.conf file. Instead, it uses a configuration database located in the /etc/openldap/slapd.d/ directory. Any help is welcomed. Thank you

  • How do I all the eclipse(Galileo version) help installed on my local machine?

    - by rkgorrepati
    Currrently, all the topics that are listed in http://help.eclipse.org/galileo/index.jsp are not installed on my machine. I understand that help is only installed for the plugins that are installed already. However, I see that PDE(Plugin Development) API reference is not installed on my local eclipse, though a overview of PDE is. Basically, I want to have a local copy of whatever is on eclipse help site . How do I get that in HTML format?

  • Get metadata out of a webHttpBinding endpoint

    - by decyclone
    Hi, With a reference to my previous question, I would like to know how would I extract information of a WCF service from a client application to know what methods/types are exposed if the service exposes only one endpoint that uses webHttpBinding? Just to summarize, in my previous question, I came to know that an endpoint using webHttpBinding does not get exposed in the generated WSDL because it would be a JSON endpoint and is just not compatible.

  • Class library assemblies used by Windows Services written in C#

    - by Water Cooler v2
    If I write a C# class called Foo and that is compiled into an assembly named FooLib.dll. Then, I write a Windows Service in C# that references FooLib.dll. When I deploy my Windows Service using InstallUtil.exe: a) do I have to explicitly tell it to reference my FooLib.dll? b) where does FooLib.dll get deployed if I mean to deploy it as a private assembly and not in the GAC?

  • Using Mathematica to generate crystal lattices

    - by lavabo
    How do you generate a 3x3x3 lattice in Mathematica? Is it possible to color some of the lattice points? It seems that it is possible but I cannot get it to work so far http://reference.wolfram.com/mathematica/ref/LatticeData.html What I mean by 3x3x3 is something like figure (c) on the right:http://physics.ucsd.edu/was-sdphul/labs/2dl/exp6/exp63.gif
