  • Serializing data from a RSS feed in ASP.NET

    I'd like the user to specify a RSS feed address and serialize the information from it. I am not interested in the XML format, but populate a strongly typed object from the XML. My question is, is there a standard that all RSS feeds support (Do all of them have date, title etc)? If so, is there a XSD that describes this. If not, how do I handle serializing a RSS feed to an object in ASP.NET?

  • Many to many in linq with vb.net

    I have 3 tables in a database: image of the database I have been looking online for a long time trying to find out how in linq and vb.net how i can do a query that has access to both the event and individual table for example showing all the events individual 1 is taking part in ect. i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction or know of any good tutorial sites with good examples of things similar.     Hi, I have an assembly and want to restrict the assemblies and applications that can call/use this assemblies functionality. Can anyone provide detailed information on how this can be achieved ? From what I have read on the internet this is not possible because any "fully trusted" assembly will automatically be granted access. I am using .NET 2.0 and 3.5 and the solution needs to be compatible with both versions of the framework. Thanks in advance ;-)

    My asp.net 4 website url format is http://www.somesite.com/ShowProduct.aspx?ID=3330 but it sometimes gets changed to http://www.somesite.com/(S(ghtef0vy5fgfdjgdfgderd55)X(1))/ShowProduct.aspx?ID=3330 or http://www.somesite.com/ShowProduct.aspx?ID=3330&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=3330 How can i prevent this. I want all url's to be of this format only http://www.somesite.com/ShowProduct.aspx?ID=3330

    Hi, I have a page on the example.com domain which contains an IFrame, this IFrame loads an ASP.NET page (c#) from the example2.com domain. From the code behind on the example2.com domain how can I get the URL of the master page? Would it help if the 2 pages were on the same domain, so example.com contains an iframe with sub.example.com?     I've been looking for a decent network library for C#. It is going to be used with XNA 3.1, and .NET Framework 3.5. The multi-player style is going to be Server and Client. Currently I have been looking into Lidgren Library Network, but it seems outdated. Anyone got some good suggestions for a good network library.   • How do I uninstall the .NET framework?

    I'm having a problem running a VS 2005 app on some machines and not others. I looked up the error message on google and found a post by someone who had the same error and fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling the .NET framework. When I try to do that, Windows won't let me because it is in use. Am I expected to uninstall everything that is using the framework first, then uninstall the framework, then reinstall, etc.? Does anyone know of an easier way?
