• compile Boost as static Universal binary lib

  I want to have a static Universal binary lib of Boost. (Preferable the latest stable version, that is 1.43.0, or newer.) I found many Google hits with similar problems and possible solutions. However, most of them seems outdated. Also none of them really worked. Right now, I am trying sudo ./bjam --toolset=darwin --link=static --threading=multi \ --architecture=combined --address-model=32_64 \ --macosx-version=10.4 --macosx-version-min=10.4 \ install That compiles and install fine. • Can Log4net have multiple appenders write to the same file?

  I'm using a RollingFileAppender to log some info to a file with a conversionPattern (in the web.config) that looks like this for the header of each log section: <conversionPattern value="%date - %property{userId} - %property{method}%newline--------------------------------%newline%message%newline%newline"/> I'd like to log details under this header as bullet points. I'm currently trying to use another RollingFileAppender that logs to the same file with a simple conversionPattern of just a dash, like this: <conversionPattern value="- %message%newline"/> But these messages aren't making it into the log file. I'm using Log.Info() for the header and Log.Debug() for the bullet points and filtering each appender on their respective log levels. Is what I'm trying to do possible? Or is there a better way to get header and detail information into a log file from log4net?

  Hi, When creating templates I typically have 3 separate parts (header, body, footer) which I combine to pass a singe string to the web-server (CherryPy in this case). My first approach is as follows... from jinja2 import Environment, FileSystemLoader env = Environment(loader=FileSystemLoader('')) tmpl = env.get_template('Body.html') page_body = tmpl.render() tmpl = env.get_template('Header.html') page_header = tmpl.render() tmpl = env.get_template('Footer.html') page_footer = tmpl.render() page_code = page_header + page_body + page_footer but this contains repetitious code, so my next approach is... def render_template(html_file): from jinja2 import Environment, FileSystemLoader env = Environment(loader=FileSystemLoader('')) tmpl = env.get_template(html_file) return tmpl.render() page_header = render_template('Header.html') page_body = render_template('Body.html') page_footer = render_template('Footer.html) However, this means that each part is created in its own environment - can that be a problem? Are there any other downsides to this approach? I have chosen the 3-part approach over the child-template approach because I think it may be more flexible (and easier to follow), but I might be wrong. Anyone like to convince me that using header, body and footer blocks might be better? Any advice would be appreciated. Alan

Is there a programmatic way of tweaking the HYPERLINK field without losing the master/sub-document relationship? I've got this far ...   Hello, I'm trying to implement a basic MIME parser for the multipart/related in C++/Qt. So far I've been writing some basic parser code for headers, and I'm reading the RFCs to get an idea how to do everything as close to the specification as possible. Unfortunately there is a part in the RFC that confuses me a bit: From RFC882 Section 3.1.1: Each header field can be viewed as a single, logical line of ASCII characters, comprising a field-name and a field-body. For convenience, the field-body portion of this conceptual entity can be split into a multiple-line representation; this is called "folding". The general rule is that wherever there may be linear-white-space (NOT simply LWSP-chars), a CRLF immediately followed by AT LEAST one LWSP-char may instead be inserted. Thus, the single line Alright, so I simply parse a header field and if a CRLF follows with linear whitespace, I simply concat those in a useful manner to result in a single header line. Let's proceed... From RFC2045 Section 5.1: In the Augmented BNF notation of RFC 822, a Content-Type header field value is defined as follows: content := "Content-Type" ":" type "/" subtype *(";" parameter) ; Matching of media type and subtype ; is ALWAYS case-insensitive. Do you see the Content-Type header? It has a number of parameters, but not all have a ";" as parameter delimiter. Maybe I just didn't read the RFCs correctly, but if my parser works strictly like the specification defines, the type and start-info parameters would result in a single string or worse, a parser error. • Can MYSQL filter by date if date is stored as text? ex "02/10/1984"

  Hello! I am trying to modify an app for a client which has already a database of over 1000 items. The dates are stored as text in the database with the format "02/10/1984". The system allows you to add and remove fields to the catalog dynamically and it also allows the advanced search to have specific fields be allowed. The problem is that it wasn't designed with dates in mind, so when I set a field as a date, and try to search by a range the query is trying to do a AND (cfv0.value = 01/02/2004 AND cfv0.value <= 05/03/2008) . I can make it so the date range passed is a numeric time value. Is there a way that when sending the query, it takes the text fields (with the date) and converts it to numeric time value so at that point I am basically just comparing numbers which would work fine. I do not have the option to change all the current date to numeric value due to the way the dynamic fields are set up. Thanks guys!

  I'm using ASP.NET Dynamic Data functionality to do something a little weird. Namely, create a dynamic list of fields as children of the main object. So basically I have Ticket.Fields. The main page lists all the fields for Ticket, and the Fields property has a DynamicControl that generates a list of controls to collect more data. The tricky part is that this list ALSO uses Dynamic Data to generate the controls, so each field can be any of the defined FieldTemplates... meaning I don't necessarily know what the actual data control will be when I try to get the value. So, how do I get the value of a DynamicControl? Do I need to create a new subclass of FieldTemplate that provides a means to get at the value?

• How to control Time zone formatting in System.Xml.Serialization or during application execution?

  I'm developing a C# .Net Application that is executing on a system located in the Central Time Zone. The application gets information from a third party using an API they provide. I have used the WSDL to produce the code that my application access the API with...their reporting API allows you to define a start date and end date for the report. These are C# DateTime fields and XSD:dateTime. Now when I set the start date and end dates and allow the API to create the SOAP messages the dates don't always include a Time Zone unless I set the date fields using the ToLocalTime method; however, the method will create the DateTime fields in the Central Time Zone (CST) but I need to have it create these fields in the Pacific Time Zone (PST). If I set my machine time to PST all is good...but of course that causes other time issues. What methods can I use to control the formatting of the DateTime? Alternatively, is there a application setting that can be set in C# that allows timezone control?

  Let's say I have two tables -- Products and Orders. For the sake of simplicity assume that only one product can be purchased at a time so there is no join table like order_items. So the relationship is that Product has many orders, and Order belongs to product. Therefore, product_id is a fk in the Order table. The product table is STI -- with the subclasses being A, B, C. When the user orders subclass Product C, two special validations must be checked on the Order model fields order_details and order_status. These two fields can be nil for all other Product subclasses (ie A and B). In other words, no validation needs to run for these two fields when a user purchases A and B. My question is: How do I write validations (perhaps custom?) in the Order model so that the Order model knows to only run the validations for the two fields -- order_details and order_status -- when Product subclass C is being saved to the orders table?

I configured settings.xml correctly (i guess so...) true http username password 12.34.56.78 8080 But still I am error message like... if i dont configure userid/password gets correct error message which is HTTP response code 407 - saying authentication required.   Lemme explain my problem. I have One ID and 2 Other Fields in a CsV file. the ID connected to a database table. I have to show the curresponding entries in the db and fields from Csv. Need sort the Fields too. My Idea was load into a ClientDataset, lookup to a Query with table and Use sort and show. My Csv have 85 K Records and its taking 120 seconds to load and sort, Its not acceptable. Can you tell me, can I use Bacthmove for this.   Hi, I can't decide which approach is better for creating objects with a large number of fields (10+) (all mandatory) the constructor approach of the getter/setter. Constructor at least you enforce that all the fields are set. Java Beans easier to see which variables are being set instead of a huge list. The builder pattern DOES NOT seem suitable here as all the fields are mandatory and the builder requires you put all mandatory parameters in the builder constructor. Thanks, D

• find window text and save txt to file named that wont work.

  I have the same code, written using win32com and xlrd. xlrd preforms the algorithm in less than a second, while win32com takes minutes. • Using a Filter to serve a specific page?

  Hi, I am using a class which implements Filter for my jsp stuff. It looks like this: public class MyFilter implements Filter { public void doFilter(ServletRequest request, ServletResponse response, FilterChain chain) throws IOException, ServletException { request.getRequestDispatcher("mypage.jsp").forward(request, response); } } So the target, "mypage.jsp", is just sitting in my top-level directory. The filter works fine if I'm entering urls like: http://www.mysite.com/foo http://www.mysite.com/boo but if I enter a trailing slash, I'll get a 404: http://www.mysite.com/foo/ http://www.mysite.com/boo/ HTTP ERROR: 404 /foo/mypage.jsp RequestURI=/foo/mypage.jsp it seems if I enter the trailing slash, then the filter thinks I want it to look for mypage.jsp in subfolder foo or boo, but I really always want it to just find it at: http://www.mysite.com/mypage.jsp how can I do that? The problem is that after I include the script file I can't access, inside functions in the theme file, variables declared in the script file . I have created a new file in the theme folder and added the same code as in header.php and if I open that file it works just fine.
