• Error using Session in IIS7

  After deployment of my website to IIS I'm getting a following error message when trying to access session: Session state can only be used when enableSessionState is set to true, either in a configuration file or in the Page directive. Please also make sure that System.Web.SessionStateModule or a custom session state module is included in the \\ section in the application configuration. I access it in Page_Load or PreRender events (I tried both versions). With VS Dev Server it works without a problem. I tried both InProc an SessionState storage, 1 and multiple woker processes. I added a enableSessionState = "true" to my webpage explicitly. • Why does Keychain Services return the wrong keychain content?

  I've been trying to use persistent keychain references in an iPhone application. I found that if I created two different keychain items, I would get a different persistent reference each time (they look like 'genp.......1', 'genp.......2', …). However, attempts to look up the items by persistent reference always returned the content of the first item. Why should this be? I confirmed that my keychain-saving code was definitely creating new items in each case (rather than updating existing items), and was not getting any errors. And as I say, Keychain Services is giving a different persistent reference for each item. I've managed to solve my immediate problem by searching for keychain items by attribute rather than persistent references, but it would be easier to use persistent references so I'd appreciate solving this problem. • How do I edit an XML file with Perl?

  I have a movie collection catalogue with local links to folders and files for an easy access. Recently I reorganaized my entire hard disk space and I need to update the links and I'm trying to do that automatically with Perl. I can export the data in a XML file and import it again. I can extract the new filepaths with the use of File::Find but I'm stuck with two problems. I have no idea how to connect the $title from the new filepath with the corresponding $title from the XML file. I'm dealing with such files for the first time and I don't know how to proceed with the replacement process. • How to bind to the sum of two data bound values in WPF?

  I have designed an analog clock control. It uses the stroke from two ellipses to represent an outer border and an inner border to the clock face. I have exposed properties in the UserControl that allow a user to alter the thickness of these two borders. The Ellipse.StrokeThickness properties are then bound to these UserControl properties. At the moment, I am binding the UserControl property for the outer border thickness to the margins of the inner elements so that they are not hidden when the border size is increased. <Ellipse Name="OuterBorder" Panel.ZIndex="1" StrokeThickness="{Binding OuterBorderThickness, ElementName=This}" Stroke="{StaticResource OuterBorderBrush}" /> <Ellipse Name="InnerBorder" Panel.ZIndex="5" StrokeThickness="{Binding InnerBorderThickness, ElementName=This}" Margin="{Binding OuterBorderThickness, ElementName=This}" Stroke="{StaticResource InnerBorderBrush}"> ... <Ellipse Name="Face" Panel.ZIndex="1" Margin="{Binding OuterBorderThickness, ElementName=This}" Fill="{StaticResource FaceBackgroundBrush}" /> ... The problem is that if the inner border thickness is increased, this does not affect the margins and so the hour ticks and numbers can become partially obscured or hidden. So what I really need is to be able to bind the margin properties of the inner controls to the sum of the inner and outer border thickness values (they are of type double). I have done this successfully using 'DataContext = this;', but am trying to rewrite the control without this as I hear it is not recommended. I also thought about using a converter and passing the second value as the ConverterParameter, but didn't know how to bind to the ConverterParameter. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. EDIT Thanks to Kent's suggestion, I've created a simple MultiConverter to add the input values and return the result. I've hooked the SAME multibinding with converter XAML to both a TextBlock.Text property and the TextBlock.Margin property to test it. <TextBlock> <TextBlock.Text> <MultiBinding Converter="{StaticResource SumConverter}" ConverterParameter="Add"> <Binding Path="OuterBorderThickness" ElementName="This" /> <Binding Path="InnerBorderThickness" ElementName="This" /> </MultiBinding> </TextBlock.Text> <TextBlock.Margin> <MultiBinding Converter="{StaticResource SumConverter}" ConverterParameter="Add"> <Binding Path="OuterBorderThickness" ElementName="This" /> <Binding Path="InnerBorderThickness" ElementName="This" /> </MultiBinding> </TextBlock.Margin> </TextBlock> I can see the correct value displayed in the TexBlock, but the Margin is not set. Any ideas? EDIT Interestingly, the Margin property can be bound to a data property of type double, but this does not seem to apply within a MultiBinding. As advised by Kent, I changed the Converter to return the value as a Thickness object and now it works. Thanks Kent.

• How to create a dynamically built Context Menu clickEvent

  C#, winform I have a DataGridView and a context menu that opens when you right click a specific column. What shows up in the context menu is dependant on what's in the field clicked on - paths to multiple files (the paths are manipulated to create a full UNC path to the correct file). The only problem is that I can't get the click working. I did not drag and drop the context menu from the toolbar, I created it programmically. I figured that if I can get the path (let's call it ContextMenuChosen) to show up in MessageBox.Show(ContextMenuChosen); I could set the same to System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(ContextMenuChosen); The Mydgv_MouseUp event below actually works to the point where I can get it to fire off MessageBox.Show("foo!"); when something in the context menu is selected but that's where it ends. I left in a bunch of comments below showing what I've tried when it one of the paths are clicked. Some result in empty strings, others error (Object not set to an instance...). I searched code all day yesterday but couldn't find another way to hook up a dynamically built Context Menu clickEvent. • WPF MVVM TreeView item source losing context after command

  I have a treeview which contains files, every view model holds an item source which is an ObservableCollection with files items: public ObservableCollection<CMItemFileNode> SubItemNode On each item i have context menu options (Delete, Execute..). If i move from one viewModel to another the ObservableCollection of files updated correctly and presented correctly but, when i perform a context menu command like delete file item, the command execute good but when i move to another view model (which holds SubItemNode ObservableCollection of is own) after the command executed the WPF still thinks i'm in the last view model i was in and not the one i'm really on. Very important to mention is that when i update to .net 4.5 (which unfortunantly i can't do) everything is ok and the ObservableCollection addresses the correct view model. • How do you pass a date value to BIRT report via querystring

  Hi, I have made a static html page (called start.jsp) containing a form where the user select 2 date ranges and this form has date pickers for those text boxes. When the user submits the form, it should take them to the BIRT report that I have designed. It SHOULD pass the 2 parameters that my report needs (start date and end date). Here is the querystring that gets appended to the URL birt-viewer/run__report=Business_Activity_Monitoring.rptdesign &FilterStartDate=2000-01-01&FilterEndDate=2009-01-01 I get an invalid date error: org.eclipse.birt.report.exception.ViewerValidationException: The parameter "FilterStartDate" is invalid. The value "06-08-2010" is invalid with the type "dateTime". How is it that if I remove the querystring completely, then BIRT will prompt me to enter the start date and end date (screenshot attached). I enter the exact same data that the form tries to send and it works!? This proves that my date string is correctly formatted but yet it will not accept them if they are sent to the BIRT report via the querystring? Seems like it has a problem with the fact that its a string in the first place. I have correctly set up these report parameters in my BIRT report. I have also tried changing them by specifying the "Format as" value to be a "custom" YYYY-MM-dd but this didnt work. Is it even possible to send date parameters to a birt report via querystring? Im guessing the solution will involve converting these strings to dates within the birt report's "script" tab. but I dont know how to access querystring variables from here or how to set report parameter variables.   I've read Vimdiff and Viewing differences with Vimdiff plus doing various google searches using things like "vimdiff multiple", "vimdiff git", "vimdiff commands" etc. When using do or diffg I get the error "More than two buffers in diff mode, don't know which one to use". When using diffg v:fname_in I get "No matching buffer for v:fname_in". From the vimdiff documentation: :[range]diffg[et] [bufspec] Modify the current buffer to undo difference with another buffer. If [bufspec] is given, that buffer is used. If [bufspec] refers to the current buffer then nothing happens. Otherwise this only works if there is one other buffer in diff mode. and more: When 'diffexpr' is not empty, Vim evaluates to obtain a diff file in the format mentioned. These variables are set to the file names used: v:fname_in original file v:fname_new new version of the same file v:fname_out resulting diff file So, I need to get the name of bufspec, but the default variables (fname_in, fname_new, and fname_out) aren't set. I ran the command git mergetool on a linux box through a terminal.

• Making a app show inside a GUI in Java

  Hello. I have one problem I've been dealing with for this week. You see, I'm new to Java, so that's probably it... Anyways, I've started a project out of pure curiosity. I had it done in Java, but in plain CMD-style, which is not very pretty. It calls one of my ten programs, chosen by the user using "Case". Eg.: If you type 1, it will go to program 1. After you finish it, it goes back to selection until the user press 0. After that, I've been trying to make a GUI for it. I've been able to create the selector alone and make it respond to the numbers chosen. If you press 1 and click ok, it will tell you you've chosen program 1. I, however, have not been able to make it run the program. I've been trying to make the program show up in a jPanel, part of the main GUI. I failed miserably. The program runs in separate but I can't make them run together like the CMD one. • Need help replicating directory structure with ColdFusion and jsTree

  I am using this new jQuery plugin called jsTree www.jstree.com and using the HTML datasource. I am also using ColdFusion 7 with cfdirectory and filtering out files, so just dirs. I need to recreate the directory structure in the image, well any dir structure I give it actually. I am having a heck of a time with the logic. variables.imageDirectoriesLen = 8 in this scenario cause I am outputting from the middle of the actual file path, not from begining. Thanks for the help.   I have an ASMX web service running under IIS7 in classic mode.   At the end of a form collection, I provide the consumer a printable PDF with the information they just entered. I already run through a loop to store the variables themselves but am wondering if it is at all possible to build a loop that builds on itself for FPDF. The catch is this, each new variable (#1, #2, #3) will change location by a determined amount of space. For example: I print the Member #1 First name at coordinate at coordinate (95, 101). I print Member #2 First name at coordinate (95, 110)... and so on. • Python: some newbie questions on sys.stderr and using function as argument

Is there a better way to write this (maybe with just 1 function) and is there any other thing I should be concerned under exiting? Now to some background... Sometimes I will call logThis just to log and display. Other times I want to call it and exit. Initially I was doing this: logThis ("ERROR. EXITING") sys.exit() Then I figured that wouldn't properly set the stderr, thus the current code shown on the top. My first idea was actually passing "sys.exit" as an argument, and defining just logThis ("ERROR.   I have a queatoin about IloLPMatrix and addGe. I was trying to follow the example of AdMIPex5.java to generate user defined cutting planes based on the solution to the LP relaxation. The difference is that eh initial MIP model is not read in from a mps file, but set up in the code using methods like addGe, addLe etc. I think this is why I ran into problems while copying the exampe to do the following. IloLPMatrix lp = (IloLPMatrix)cplex.LPMatrixIterator().next(); lp from the above line turns to be NULL. I am wondering 1. What is the relationship between IloLPMatrix and the addLe, addGe commands? I tried to addLPMatrix() to the model, and then used model.addGe methods. but the LPMatrix seems to be empty still. How do I populate the IloLPMatrix of the moel according to the value that I had set up using addGe and addLe. Is the a method to this easily, or do I have to set them up row by row myself? I was doing this to get the number of variables and their values by doing lp.getNumVars(). Is there other methods that I can use to get the number of variables and their values wihout doing these, since my system is set up by addLe, addGe etc? Thanks a lot for your help on this.

• Need help with workflow in Alfresco

  Hello SO community, I haven't had any luck getting help in the Alfresco forums, and I'm hoping for more here. We are building an application based on Alfresco and jBPM and I have defined a workflow, but I have either defined it wrong or am missing something or there are bugs in Alfresco integration with jBPM and I need help figuring out which and fixing it. Here is the problem: I have an advanced workflow and I am trying to launch it from JavaScript. Here is the code I'm using to start the workflow: var nodeId = args.nodeid; var document = search.findNode("workspace://SpacesStore/" + nodeId); var workflowAction = actions.create("start-workflow"); workflowAction.parameters.workflowName = "jbpm$nmwf:MyWorkflow"; workflowAction.parameters["bpm:workflowDescription"] = "Please edit: " + document.name; workflowAction.parameters["bpm:assignees"] = [people.getPerson("admin"), people.getPerson("andyg")]; var futureDate = new Date(); futureDate.setDate(futureDate.getDate() + 7); workflowAction.parameters["bpm:workflowDueDate"] = futureDate; workflowAction.execute(document); This runs fine and e-mail sent from the start node's default transition fires just fine. However, when I go looking for the workflow in my task list it is not there, but it is in my completed task list. The default transition (the only transition) from the start node points at a task node which has four transitions. There are 8 tasks and 22 transitions in the workflow. When I use the workflow console to start the workflow and end the start task, it properly follows the default start node transition to the next task. The new task shows up in "show tasks" but does not show up in "show my tasks" (apparently because the task was marked completed for some reason, though it is not in the "end" node). Clearly the assignees are on the task object and not on the workflow object. I added the assignees aspect to the start-state task so that it could hold them (after I had a problem; initially they were not there) and possibly they are still sitting there, but the start-state has ended before I even get control back from the web script (not that it would help if it wasn't ended, I need it to be in "In Editing" as the start-state is only used to log that the workflow was started). It has always confused me that the properties that I need to set on each task need to be requested before the task is entered (when you choose a transition you must provide the data for the next task before you can actually move to the next task as you have to validate that you have all of the required data first and then signal the transition). However, the code to start the workflow is asynchronous and therefore does not return either the started workflow or the current task (which in my case would be "In Editing"). So, either way you cannot set variables such as bpm:assignees and bpm:dueDate. I wonder if this is the problem with the user task list. I'm setting the assignees in the property list, but maybe those assignees are going to the start-state task and are not getting passed to the "In Editing" task? Note that this is my first jBPM workflow, so please don't assume I know what I'm doing. If you see something that looks off, it probably is and I just don't know it. • HTML text input and using the input as a variable in a script(tcl)/sql(sqlite)

  Hello all, I'm very VERY new at this whole web thing. And I'm just very confused in general. Basically, what I want to do is take an input via text using HTML and adding that input to database, table trans. Should be simple but I am lost. <li>Transaction Number</li> <li><input type=|text| name=|tnumber| </li> // do i need to use value? <li>Employee Name</li> <li><input type=|text| name=|ename| </li> <li><input type=|SUBMIT| value=|Add|></li> ...... ...... sqlite3 db $::env(ROOT)/database.db mb eval {INSERT INTO trans VALUES ($tnumber, $ename} mb close They are both in a same file and there are only two fields to the database to keep things simple. What I can see here is that tnumber and ename aren't declared as variables. So how do I do that so that the text input is assigned to respective variables?
