  • cisco 2851 router: can't view switch ports

    I want to setup vlans on a 2851, but I'm not sure how to access the switch ports. I can access or view them. Is there something I have to enable? I have some devices plugged into the switch ports and they are communicating with each other fine. router(config)#do show ip int bri Interface IP-Address OK?   • Is there any way I can share the 3.42GB download of Windows 8.1 from Windows Store?

    Windows 8.1 is out and I would like to know if it is possible to share the Windows 8.1 download upgrade between different computers so that I don't have to download it over and over again? This might be helpful for people who are on a metered connection. Store is downloading 3.42GB of data so it must be stored somewhere. Is there any way I can copy it to my other computers and start the setup so that I don't have to download it over and over again on each computer I own?

  • Do I need to recycle web server after modifying hgrc?

    I have setup a Mercurial website in IIS7 using this tutorial: http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/HgWebInIisOnWindows I am slowly figuring out all of the options that I can tweak for the served repositories. But I'd like to know if and when I need to recycle the website process in order to pick up changes made to any of the repositories' hgrc files? Does the website pick up the changes on the next request or do I need to always recycle? Additionally, do I need to "restart" the website or run iisreset?

  • Open Web Page in Windows Server 2008 R2 runs forever

    I have a number of scheduled tasks which simply open a web page in Windows Server 2008 R2. They used to run and end without abending, but now they open and stay open and I have to setup the task to quit them by force before their next scheduled run. I've thought about installing CURL or WGET, but is there a way to do this with R2 without going to that step? Regards.

    When I setup my gmail account with thunderbird years ago, it had a specific option for gmail. I choose it and everything worked fine and dandy. However, whenever thunderbird checks the mail for me, it moves my mail from the inbox (on gmail) to the "All Mail" folder. How can I prevent it from doing this?

  • Trac changesets not displaying

    I have setup Trac to integrate with our VisualSVN server. It all seems to work fine, except when I am viewing changesets, it only shows the files that have changed, not the actual diff of what has changed in the file. In addition, when I am viewing a particular file in Trac, the 'diff' link is not visible, which I have seen in other installations. I assume it is probably a configuration issue, or maybe the way the data is being entered in the first place. Any suggestions?

    Is there a way to configure varnish or any other caching reverse proxy, to serve pages from its cache when the back-end fails? At the moment, if the back-end goes down a 503 Service Unavailable error would be returned to the browser. I would prefer it if visitors got to see a cached version than an error page while the back-end is being fixed. My setup: [varnish (public ip)] <=== [router] <=== [web server (private ip)] PS: I have only one back-end web server.

Extra info : I want OpenSSH 4.8+ in order to not install an extra library (RSSH) when OpenSSH can already handle it. Sadly, data transfer speeds are at max 3 MB/sec per connection which works out slow for file transfers, especially when transferring large files. I'm using Windows filesharing and the server is a Windows Server 2008 (2 Ghz CPU, 1 GB RAM) and the client PCs mostly running Windows 7. How can I detect bottlenecks in my network and improve file sharing speed within the network?

    Hi Everyone, Is it possible to somehow setup an ssh server that doesn't require a username,password or cert to login? If that's not possible, if I were to give all customers the same public key, would each connection be encrypted individually? (i.e. user A coudn't decrypt the payload of user B's connection) I wish to provide access to a single program, which will prompt for a username and password. Encryption is essential though, and users must not be able to snoop in on each other Thanks
