    Basically I can't get it right. I need something like this: if($p == 1) { $start = 0; $limit = 16; } The numbers must add on depending on the value of the $p, e.g. if $p is 5 then the values of $start and $limit would be: if($p == 5) { $start = 64; $limit = 80; } The math is to add 16, depending on the value of $p.     Hi, I currently have an array, created from a database, an example of which looks like the following: Array( [0] => Array ( objectid => 2, name => title, value => apple ), [1] => Array ( objectid => 2, name => colour, value => red ), [2] => Array ( objectid => 3, name => title, value => pear ), [3] => Array ( objectid => 3, name => colour, value => green ) ) What I would like to do is group all the items in the array by their objectid, and convert the 'name' values into keys and 'value' values into values of an associative array....like below: Array ( [0] => Array ( objectid => 2, title => apple, colour => red ), [1] => Array ( objectid => 3, title => pear, colour => green ) ) I've tried a few things but haven't really got anywhere.. I want to split it so that each set of hash-started lines becomes a list: I can haz a listz0rs! <ul> <li>42</li> <li>126</li> </ul> I can haz another list plox? <ul> <li>Hello, world!</li> <li>Welcome!</li> </ul> If I run the input against the regex "/(?:(?:(?<=^# )(.*)$)+)/m", I get the following result: Array ( [0] => Array ( [0] => 42 ) [1] => Array ( [0] => 126 ) [2] => Array ( [0] => Hello, world! ) [3] => Array ( [0] => Welcome! ) ) This is fine and dandy, but it doesn't distinguish between the two different lists. I need a way to either make the quantifier return a concatenated string of all the occurrences, or, ideally, an array of all the occurrences. Ideally, this should be my output: Array ( [0] => Array ( [0] => 42 [1] => 126 ) [1] => Array ( [0] => Hello, world! [1] => Welcome! ) ) Is there any way of achieving this, and if not, is there a close alternative? Thanks in advance!

I want to create a query that returns results where any values in the ID fields overlap with any values in the array.     Dear all I'm assigning session variables by filling the $_SESSION - Array throughout my script. My problem is, that for some reason not all variables are available in the session. here is a shortened version of my code for explaining this issue: session_start(); print_r($_SESSION); $_SESSION['lang'] = 'de'; $_SESSION['location_id'] = 11; $_SESSION['region_id'] = 1; $_SESSION['userid'] = 'eccbc87e4b5ce2fe28308fd9f2a7baf3'; $_SESSION['hash'] = 'dce57f1e3bc6fba32afab93b0c38b662'; print_r($_SESSION); first call prints something like this: Array ( ) Array ( [lang] => de [location_id] => 11 [region_id] => 1 [userid] => eccbc87e4b5ce2fe28308fd9f2a7baf3 [hash] => dce57f1e3bc6fba32afab93b0c38b662 ) the second call prints: Array ( [lang] => de [location_id] => 11 [region_id] => 1 ) Array ( [lang] => de [location_id] => 11 [region_id] => 1 [userid] => eccbc87e4b5ce2fe28308fd9f2a7baf3 [hash] => dce57f1e3bc6fba32afab93b0c38b662 ) As you can see, the important login information is not stored in the session.   • Editing a remote file on-the-fly with PHP

    Hi, I have a requirement to edit a remote text file on-the-fly, the content of which currently stands at ~1Mb. I have tried a couple of approaches and both seem to be clunky or hog memory which I can't rely on. Thinking out logically what I'm trying to achieve is: FTP to a remote server. Download a copy of the file for backup purposes and store it somewhere locally. Open the remote file and add the necessary lines required. Remove lines from the remote file as per an array of un-required data generated from the local server. Is this possible? I've managed to code steps 1 and 2 but I'm having difficult with 3 and 4. The way I'm doing it now is to use fgets and return the whole string. Really, I don't want to do this as it involves manipulating and re-generating the whole string (and it's large) and then re-inserting it in between two markers in the remote file. Is there no way of manipulating the lines of text in the file on-the-fly?

  • Get only new RSS entries with PHP Script ?

    What im trying to do: Fetch X numbers of RSS Feeds from my Blogs and echo only new entries. My Problem is, how to know wich items are already parsed? Solution so far: Fetch the Feed every 5 hours, store all titles inside an Database table or flat file. Next run check if the title is already in database if not print it and save it inside the database. But iam not sure if this is best practise to do this? If someone knows a fast way, it would be great. Sorry for my poor english.

    Hello all, Both the MySQLi and MySQLi_STMT classes have an $insert_id property. If I am connected to my database using a MySQLi object (say $db), and then I perform an INSERT with a MySQLi_STMT object (say $stmt), to get the id of the last INSERT, should I use: $last_id = $db->insert_id; or $last_id = $stmt->insert_id; Or would they be the same, in which case it doesn't matter? I thought this might be a quick answer for someone, and save me the time of writing the test code to check it. Thanks in advance as always.
