  • Why is my web page left-aligned on iPad?

    I recently built a site and centered it using margin: 0 auto. I also wrapped elements in a .wrapper class with a width set to 960px and then had the parent element extend across the whole browser. When I view the Brands screen on an iPad though, the site is left-aligned and does not extend across the whole window. Any thoughts to why this might be happening, and how to correct it?   • Getting location via a web application being run in a WebView

    m.google.com somehow requests the current location when loaded in Android's browser. I want to do the same thing from a web page being loaded into a WebView in my own application. Is the only way to go about this with WebView.addJavascriptInterface(), or is there already a javascript interface available for webapps to use?

  • Not being prompted to download CSV file.

    I've created a custom solution in WordPress that will generate a CSV file to be downloaded by clicking a simple hyperlink, linked directly to this file. Instead of being prompted to download the file to the computer; the CSV opens in the the browser window instead. FWIW I'm on Media Temple using a vanilla install of WordPress.

It should be possible to created on flash, silverlight, ajax etc. And should be change parameters easyly via javascript or sth. But i didn't like google chart beacuse you cannot change background of map, you cannot use different colors for some countries. Do you have any suggestions about it ?

  • How do I add "Press any key to boot from usb" when installing Windows from a flash drive? (Grub4dos question / how to remove a bootloader)

    Hi there! I've been struggling with this problem for a while now and finially decided to ask for help. Let me first explain what the main purpose of the app is: to provide the a very easy to use way of backing up files, after which I format the drive and start Windows 7 setup. I do this by booting WinPE, which runs a script to detect Windows installations and then opens a file browser. After the file browser is closed, the script continues and formats the drive that contains the Windows installation, and starts an unattended Windows 7 install. Now here is the problem: When you start Windows setup or WinPE from a dvd, you get a nice option to "Press any key to boot from DVD". This is to prevent the computer from booting the DVD when the first phase of the installation is complete and the computer reboots. However, when booting from a flash drive, Windows does not provide this option: it simply boots the flash drive every reboot. To replicate the "press any key" function, I installed Grub4Dos, which works great. It provides a small menu, the first standard item being "Continue installation", the second being "start installation". After quite a lot of tweaking, I got everything working: Start installation starts WinPE, which in turn starts the Windows installation. At first reboot, the Grub4Dos menu comes up, counts 5 seconds and boots the second stage of the installation. Here, I am greeted with the error: "Windows setup could not configure windows to run on this computer's hardware." When I boot into WinPE the normal way (put the bootmgr on the stick root) and change my bios to boot from the primary hdd after first reboot, I don't get this error. I've been looking around, and the only thing I could find was that the BIOS automatically names the boot device hd0, and that Windows can only be run / installed to hd 0. I'm not sure if this is the problem. I read about remapping to solve this problem, but to do that you have to know the phisical location of the hard drive and partition, like hd(0,1). I want this flash drive to work on any PC, regardless of where the OS is installed, so that's not really a possibility. A possible fix I thought of is removing the bootloader from the flash drive when I'm in WinPE. That way, when the pc reboots the BIOS will not see the flash drive as a boot drive and instead boot the primary hdd. I have yet to find a way to do this.     Hi, Having an .html file is it possible to force the browser to treat the contents as XHTML? I mean the file opened from both local or web location. Maybe some on-the-fly convertion or something like that? The background: Firefox and Opera supports natively MathML when the code is embedded in a XHTML file. I need to get a .html file with MathML that would be supported by the mentioned browsers properly. Thank you for any support.

  • Can Firefox Plugin, Greasmonkey, be detected by Web Servers?

    Hi, My friend's account for some Facebook game was suspended on the grounds that he had Greasemonkey installed on his browser. He is asked to uninstall Greasemonkey and account has been restored. My question is how can a web server detect a client side plugin presence? I assume that Greasemonkey or greasemonkey scripts operate on the client side only so it would not be possible for the server to detect it. Thanks.

  • Redirect to https login page

    I have a site that has a mix of http and https pages. Under the root of the site, one folder has all the http pages and another has all the https pages. Login is over https and sends the user to the other pages. When a session expires the forms authentication redirects to the Login page but the browser uses http and the user gets a 403 error. Is there any way to override the session timeout to send it to https?

I have a spreadsheet of surveys, in which I need to see how particular users have varied over time. As such, I need to disregard all rows with unique values in a particular column.     I have written a struts application. When i open the application in my IE7 browser, it doesn't open the .do files, instead IE7 displayes the "FIND SAVE or CANCEL" dialog box. Its like IE7 doesn't recognise the format. But it works well with Firefox. Could anyone clarify why this happens with IE7 ?

    I'm getting the following error: javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: Broken pipe Now I have seen questions/answers with respects to the socket exception, but this error is coming from a different package. Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW, I am seeing quite a lot of these errors in a struts web app Weblogic Node logs and I am thinking that it has to do with end users closing their web browser before the page reloads/executes the next step (database transaction which takes quite a bit of time to execute, anywhere from 30 seconds to 4 mins).
